Both good suggestions. I will give them a try tonight. What's the worst that can happen? After all it's just the base. I was kind of thinking of a puddle of psychic emanations? I will try the other suggestions and see what it looks like. Thanks guys.

you and me both.

EDIT
Ok, here's the drybrushed. I don't have an airbrush yet. I like it better. Maybe a light blue wash?

I wouldn't call it a tip; it's not like I tried it before wink.gif But, I am very glad it worked out biggrin.gif

Yeah, looks really good! You can keep feathering it out paler and lighter probably almost to the edge of the base and it would still work.

Good job, hoss!

Well then thanks for the suggestion. I think it's enough where it is. I might have to look into the airbrush idea. Maybe start small like GW's and see what comes of it. I will post up what I get done on the rest of the squad and Mordrak this eve.

What you did with the base gives a real cool effect. Makes them even more daunting!

Finished the inquisitor. Can't see his face real well but it gets the point across. I have two crusaders in the works for him and two death cult assasins ordered to make it a combat unit. All together, it's still cheaper to field five of these with power weapons than one grandmaster. I have yet to see how they do on the field, but a points savings might help. Here's the Inquisitor.

I (still) love your painting smile.gif Really need to finish my own Inquisitor, no matter how I incorperate him into any 40K army wink.gif

I don't recommend that model. What a pain. Thanks though. Running him with two death cult assassins and three crusaders. Random demonweapon powers and the crusaders storm shields has proven a good combo so far.

I need to tune the lightning up a bit. Nothing like a close up to point out some points that need fixing. And highlight that scanner. Overall I am generally pleased with it.

Almost done with Mordrak. Need some graphics on his cloak and armor. But mostly done.

That was layered up. Blood red base. The darker of the two GW oranges watered down and layered on a couple times. Middle yellow once those have dried and a spot of white in the middle. That help?

Thanks for that. It's kind of turned into a painting blog. Not a whole lot to convert. I will be working on another dreadknight when uncle Sam gets around to sending my return.
