I'm one of those that really can not just paint a miniature as is. I've been looking around at various miniatures some I like some I don't most don't exactly fit the period that I wanted to do. I love the look of the Perry's stuff, but they didn't exactly fit what I wanted so I'm converting them to give them some sleeveless surcoats beacuse I would like some color and not just all chainmail. Don't really like all of the long sleeved holy order types that they have, they are fine looking, but I need even more variety. So grab the GS and BS and some tools and off we go:

Need a bit more work on the divit in the shield, magnification helps some times to see that kind of stuff:

Much more to follow on this stuff.

Hey thanks. I will be doing a small 1000 pt Warhammer Ancients list for Crusaders/Norman/El Cid. Basically these minis are based on the 1090's crusaders and normans. I'm essentially pushing them in to the 1100's where they begain wearing surcoats over the mail and the very beginnings of heraldry.

Have some foot troops mostly spearmen that will be the support troops and I'm converting them up with surcoats also. They'll be around 16 knights, I plan on doing up about half dozen of the horses like the one with the capirson.
