Well I have said on many threads what I intend to do over christmas and now that my break has finally arived I got busy. And this will be a log to show my good forum friends I don't just talk big.

Here is my sentinel that was painted and built with a lascannon but not any more. And with my oath of no metal I scratch made the crew compartment. It is still open topped it just looks so much cooler. And Kriegish. I still need to file the rivets.

Hobbes and mini tank too have been stripped. That rustoleum primer was a tough nut to crack but at least that whch is still on is smooth ad shouldn't present any problems.


Here is my first Rough Rider in all his glory. When I decide that it is finished (I think it is now) I will make a list of all the mods. When ever I had extra green stuff I made purity seals for what evertank was sitting on the table so anyone can tell which tank took the longest cause it will be the most pure.

Well in addition to my dad's present I think thats a good start for day 2.

Love the rough rider, and the sentinel extra armor. Not sure about the mini tank though, its not quite a cyclops, but yeah

That mini tank rocks as for the sentinel very nice work but the rough rider i just cant find the words "sniff"

Well the mini tank was just something I wipped up in an hour a while ago I had an extra chimera turret and had to use it.

Alright my rough rider.
First to Last
Remove grass attached to hooves (its a city fight army)
take a big rolled mat fro tank accs sprue and for to butt of horse with heat
separate legs of soldier from waist
carve out inside of legs until they fit contour of saddle
make a butt for the person with green stuff and carve legs so its not to pointy
to make the neck armor for horse just wrap strips of .5mm card one by one
so horses already have a face mask others will need it to be GSed
GS the mask at the mouth of horse
use round rod (I use old sprue) for gas mask filter canisters
take aquilla symbol fro tank spue and wrap around front of horse
add water can with string wrapped around it (to apear tied down)
add usual soldier gear
For this set of legs the waist needed to be sliced in half and expanded with GS
I used a pistol on the right side to hide his lopsided butt
Do the normal chop job on the arms
for the right hand take a hand that is on a rifle and hollow out to fit spear
the spear is a fancy plastic rod with a metal rod inside
I had to super glue it to his hand it didnt glue with plastic cement
made the now inferior tip (kuchervano what is yours again)
glued a .5mm rod on top of the lance and "secured" it with GS clamps
I needed to add some "realistic" balast to the end so I slid on a hollow piece of sprue
The left arm is a Heavy weapon two hand grip arm with the hand carved to look like a fist
Then I made the shield and "secured" it with GS straps
added the usual purity seals and made the sturups

I think thats it.

Wow that rough rider is isnanely nice, the neck armor on the horse!

The sentinel top is all from scratch too! Very nice wouldn't have guessed it from first off, I thought it was metal and primed white, so I commend your ability!

also is that big tank named Hobbes Very Cool!

Your Sentinals top is impressive.

I modified my first post to show the changed Rough Rider I changed the spear tip to look like kuchervano's and here is my latest. These are my storm troopers (yes there will be a whole squad soon enough) I wanted to make them look different than the rest of my grenadiers so I converted them to have the weapons of the old stormies. On the rifle forward hand guards I couldn't get the seam or the latches to look right so its just smooth. The gun is made from different sizes of old sprues since my local store was completely out f evergreen rods.

Much more t come I'm painting my base army but hopefully before the week is out I'll have started one of those custom chimeras I designed and promised you all (and myself) that I would build.

)(enology I like you. I have had this in my to do pile for a long time and haven't finished it cause I can't decide what to finish it as. My current thought is to make it a Jagdtiger or shadow sword, looking something like PanzerGraf's tank. I know his is a Maus but thats where this beast is. There are just more important things to make... like my core army... grumble, basic troops, grumble, grumble...

Small round pulses - like hard tiny orange beans - usually come split in two - The tank section looks like its covered in them!!!

HAHA lentils thats a new one must try it out although they may be quite big rivets and would probably look best on a LARGE VEHICLE! i must say though i also hate lentils

Hmm, your storm troopers have a LOT of similarities to various units in my army (the veterans, standard troops and my Afriel commandos for different reasons) I like them a lot.

OK what is a small round pulse. do you mean pees I know people use pees cut in half for rivets but thats just gross. All of my rivets are old sprue cut in sections. So all the model kits that come in different colors is the reason it looks like a christmas ornament.

And this project is on hold. Do not try to convince me otherwise.

And by the way those are some nicely converted eylusians. And if you do hyjack my thread at least fly us to where ever girls are going wild.
