Hi folks, summer time vacations is here and I took the freetime to work on something really fun just for myself this time.
For some time I wanted to make a small terminator heavy deathguard army, so I started sculpting some normal Plague marines. Without further delay I introduce you, The Worm Lords.
THis one was done many months ago for a project that never really took off so he was kind of the first to be done.
These next 3 Plague marines were done just recently in my vacations.
And the familly picture
To finish this squad I need to make 3 more Plague marines, 2 of them with meltas... and a Rhino. So this is my last mini project and I'm having lots of fun with it.

Excellent sculpting skills. Well executed and crisp. Because it is so crisp, I think it might take away a bit from the Nurgle feel...but just a small amount. I'd love to have a cast (or twelve) of the 4th guy's head...that respirator is absolutely perfect. Nice work on the bases as well. It takes a lot of skill to sculpt rigid shapes like those canisters...

Thanks mate
More pics of The Worm Lords, this time its all still very WIP. So I have 2 ikea displays furniture side by side, they almost look like they are just one big display, although they have a major problem since you cant customize the shelfs height... so space between them is huge and really a wast of space.
After thinking about it I decided also to make a big display base for my Worm Lords that goes from on furniture to the other, one of them I started converting a landing pad so this is like a extra free shelf for the display, yay! I made pillars bigger and landing pad widder... yet all still in early wip but you can see how its all going to be on the displays ( I need some bastions)... also covered imperial eagles with nurgly things...
Heres some wip pics of the splitted display im builting
Oh and a comparative pic of marines sizes
And a wip of the melta marine head just as a teaser.

That last head sculpt is a very impressive piece!
And I second the thumbs up for the respirator head, very nice work on that one. How did you get the GS to be so precise on the filter part of the mask. Did you use something like a drinking straw and push the GS into it?

Very wicked greenstuff skills and a nice twist on Nurgle. Also not only are your sculpting / converting skills awesome...but you have a good design eye as indicated by the Worm Lords banner and nurgle symbol you made.
I can't wait to see more progress on these guys. Especially the termis.

The gas mask was sculpted not all at once, I scuplted face and let it dry, then the mask and then the canisters and details... if you work in phases you have more control on the GS.
The titan is waiting for the clients replies to my mails, if he doesnt reply soon i will finish it the way i like it and call it done.
Thanks all for the feedback At this time I'm waiting for post office to arrive here with my ordered GS, I'm out of stock

Hi again, after a crazy week of real life work I finally got the time to unpack some goodies that arrived at my mailbox. With a new bastion and a defense line I started bulking up the nurgle display dock...
I did a smaller tower to work as the plataform elevator for the dock.
Here's a wip view of the all thing planned( I do need to add lots of stuff before I call it done)
And I painted the interior of the bunker on top of the platform because even with the ceiling atached theres some grids there that let you look just a tiny bit inside... No one will notice it but I will hehe.
Thats all for now... Only thing annoying is the ton of eagles on these kits, that I need to cut off, so many of them and, Nurgle dunt laike it!

Thanks all, armorcast titan is waiting for client answers to my mails... but mostly finished...
And I just finished painting the defense line that will be on the display... I tried to make the exterior sides more dusty and gritty and the insides cleaner and more scratchy. I think I just found the colors combination for my display. Feels good to paint again I havent painted nothing more serious for such a looong time... I think years.

Excellent paint effect.
As demeaning as it seems compared to all your other wonderful sculpted stuff, I was curious to how you did it. The broken bits of gridded metal on their bases. What material did you find to imprint the green stuff with? I would really love to do the same thing as to avoid buying heaping piles of the plastic stuff. Or perhaps that's what you did? Just bought some pressed it into something then used the mold to make the green stuff variant? Oh jeeze, now I just realized how easy it is...
Excellent stuff all the same. Will the marines be painted more or less the same way as the barricades? Can't wait to see everything all done and accounted for. Though I still think your Tyranids are more cool anyhoo.

Thanks
Bako the texture was a accident, i needed textured plasticard for bases but didnt have any and store had it out of stock so i used the texture that is on the pin vice and pressed it on GS then just cutted it.
Ok time for things get nutty concept wise... I always wanted to make crazy rhinos so this is my chance to have fun with them... the Rhino for my first squad is done and its like a huge fumigaror of nurgly gas, made a little nurgle acolit to distribute the nurgle smell to all that venture to get close to this rhino...
I know, I know... many if not all will hate this because its neither just a realistic troop armored vehicle or a so common possessed chaos rhino with lots of bubbles and blisters and things. What can I say, Its the way I see fantasy industrial rhinos and I'm really going deep on my fraked up concepts ideas ehehe.

Another update, this time I have been priming and cleaning some biohazard barrels, painted some parts of one nurgle marine, painted a bit of both guns for the display and sculpted a more demonic head for another marine for this squad... all just fast wip pics to show were the project is atm.

Thanks
Another step closer to finish this army muhahaha
Really I know these are not something special and really kind of boring to watch, but what can I say its part of the process to complete my Deathguard... So this weekend I painted the 35 Biohazard barrels and they are ready to go for a cool display spot. And here they are the barrelandia...

Great work!
how big are those barrels? and where did you get them?
Also your rhino just gave me a great idea for a Nurgle-Hellhound: big tank in the back and one trooper in the front spraying all the nurgly stuff from the tank with a big fire hose!

Barrels are from fenris games... good service and great product. They are about 1.4cm diametre and 2cm tall so they are tiny and perfect for 28mm miniatures.

Please do share how you painted those. They are stunning.
