 Rope/ Cable Modeling

What You'll Need
-Electric Drill
-Chicken Wire (or some sort of thing wire)
-Pliers
-The wire i used.

Step 1:

Cut wire at desired length.

Step 2:

Bend wire in half and lock into the chuck of the drill.

Step 3:

Grab the two loose ends with the pliers. Turn drill on. (Be sure to pull the pliers away from the drill to keep the wire strait).

Step 4:

Keep turning drill until the ""rope is at the desired thickness.

Step 5:

Remove wire from the chuck and cut off the loose ends of the wire.

Well done!
But if you want a more realistic steel cable, you have to use five or six copper wire of very little diameter (0.05). put them toghether with superglue in one end and do as Melkor says. When done make a loop in every end and add a little stripe of plasticard.

Nice! As KingAzog says, you can always add more strands to get different rope/cable effects.
