Hi there!

I´m MrSchande from Germany and first of all i have to apologize for my english, should have learned more vocabulary during school days.
Secondly i have to thank you for let me become a part of WIP, as most of the work you do here is totally outstanding and very inspiring.

To tell something about myself, i´m totally new to Warhammer as i needed to search myself a new Hobby - long story, lets just say i can´t play my bass-guitar any longer due to some neuropathy - and i was always interested in Games Workshop.
I got Hero Quest as a birthday present when i was about 8 years old, liked it, played it a lot, bought every expansion and forced my dad to paint all the orcs and stuff biggrin.gif And i have to admit that he did a really good work.
And now, 20 Years later i needed a new Hobby, grabbed one of my friends who used to play Hero Quest with me in "days long gone past" and convinced him that starting with WH40k would be just the right thing.
So he bought some Space Marines/Blood Angels and i went for their betraying Brothers of Chaos, because everyone who has seen "Star Wars" knows that the Emperor is a bad man biggrin.gif
I haven´t decided what chapter (or legion? dont know what´s right...) i should play but as Huron Blackheart is such a cool model i might go for Red Corsairs.

Inspired by some of your work i bought some cheap "bitz-boxes" and some plastic-card in the internet to have a good base for starting my very own conversions and i´m proud to tell you that my first model is about to be finished.
As it is a walker i´m thinking of putting it into the walker-contest but i´m not sure if i´ll get it painted before the deadline ends, for my painting-skills are beneath contempt.
And i can´t ask my father as i did 20 years ago, when he saw me sitting in our garage glueing the Chaos Marines together he just shaked his head, said something about "not again tiny fiddly orcs" and left laugh.gif
Also i´m not sure if i want my first scratchbuild to be in the spotlight of a contest. So as soon as i decided whether to put it in or not i´ll post some wip-pictures and stuff.

best regards,

MrSchande
