Erm, Wow!

I love some of your conversions, so simple and yet so effective! And to see 10 Baneblades together like that is just too cool!

In particular I think your Stormhammer is very well done. I have seen a couple of attempts at making this monster before, but they never appealed to me. I think you nailed it though, yours looks ace!

And I also like one of your siege tanks too. The one with the Demolisher Cannon mounted on the turret. It looks good on that turret, I take it it's one of the spare Baneblade ones you had left over?

I've not come across that load out before though, is that one of your own? I like it though, nice idea.

Great work all round. Just makes me wish I could work with plasticard like that!

thanks so much dude smile.gif

about the plasticcard
practice makes perfect.
and well i just started a year back. and i still got a very very very long way to go before i can call it perfect mellow.gif
just start with the simple things, and then go further from that.

plasticcard is difficult but the rivet making o boy.... sad.gif

i got some other titan weaponry that i put on my baneblades.
imperial armour books speaks about that.
that if the volcano canon is kaputt that some forgewolds make different kinds of superheavyguns on them.

so i made some other stuff than the forgeworld site does.
i call it corelian pattern.

-3 baneblades
-1 hellhammer
-1 stormsword
-1 shadowsword
-1 hellfireblade(corelian pattern''inferno gun'')
-1 stormhammer(corelian pattern)
-1 siegehammer(corelian pattern''double demolisher cannons'')
-1 lasersword(corelian pattern'''turbolasers'')

(you can do pretty much everything if you give it your own pattern) lmao.gif

What's the three-barreled gun supposed to be?

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/jackal.htm

its suppose to be an inferno gun.
normally found on a warhound titan.

its just a enormous flamecannon. smile.gif

Inferno cannon? As found on a Hellhound? Seems a little low-powered for a superheavy's main weapon. Maybe in a turret, but not as a fixed weapon.... Scratch.gif

no not as found on a hellhound.
its a titan based gun. so its a little bit bigger as the normal thingy
the heavy flamer on a hellhound is double barreled and it has not the range a titan infernogun has.

my thoughts about it is that when its in a turret than you have to put some massive fuellines tru that thing, and when you do that , it can,t do a 360 degree turn. so why then use a turret option??

no i made a inferno gun and put some smaller twinlinked heavy flamers for the sidesponsons. smile.gif

isn't a 'true' stormhammer supposed to have two turrets?

I'm talking in regards to the epic 40k style,

I like what you've done regarding the shadowsword and stormblade.... Just don't go look at the latest pre-orders from forgeworld... it'll only upset you smile.gif

well it isn,t a true stormhammer (that is the one with 2 turrets).
i don,t like the epic stormhammer that much, so i didn,t make that one. smile.gif
mine is based on the one that marco silvia made(thanks to him for this idea)
and as a command tank its still a beast 2 turrets or not. smile.gif.
i didn,t use 4 sidesponsons either. i used 2 and put another 2 twinlinked turrets instead of the lascannons.

ive seen that stuff of forgeworld. and me likes it a lot. but the prices are not that appealling to me.
maybe in the future i buy a 3pack of plasma blades from them.(that model rocks the world biggrin.gif )

it doesn,t upset me that easily. those people are so talented and so skillfull that for me its a little useless to be upset about it it would be a waste of time.
time that i can use for my 4 macharius tanks(well i got 4 turrets left is that a good idea?)

I like very much... Now of course the fluff and tactics amongst my armoured denotes tanks work in pairs of pairs so my planning so far only has me with 8 baneblades and variants. I have seriously been thinking of plasticarding a stormblade just like you have but I am likely gonna go with the FW one since for the moment I get so little time to work on models it would take me at least 2 months to do it with plasticard.

Could someone please slap me, coz I have to be dreaming.
Whats the points of the regiment? (and it is a super-heavy regiment, 3 companies of 3 baneblades, plus a command tank).
And I was serious, someone please slap me!

thanks to all happy.gif

@redshirt: madness is cool. as long as you don,t hurt anybody else. laugh.gif

@valaska: well maybe i will field it someday.

@lord of rebirth: well you should always make the things you want to make, when you see the possibility. and if that means you work in pairs and you buy 8 or you wanna buy 1 then its always oke.
i bought 10 over the last few months and maybe i buy some more in the future
just like i did with my landraiders.
if you like tanks that much its not a waste of money. i take 10 tanks over 120 men anytime because i like tanks so much more..

@anarnaxe: SLAP!!!!! smile.gif and let me tell you a secret.... THERE IS NO POINT!!! smile.gif
i like baneblades i like tanks i like big army,s i like every cool model so i buy more of them , and i never played the game. but the models alone are cool enough. happy.gif

@loki: well i got a good job at a DIY store, and when you live with your parents you don,t got that many costs, its 950 euro,s well people of 25 year earn enough in euro,s a month in holland. i bought the models spread over october, november and december.
so there is no problem with wallet fires. smile.gif

No wonder your wallet doesn't erupt in flames. Anyhow, nice conversions by the way. I forgot to mention that on my first post on your thread since I was...well...shocked to see a whole Baneblade armoured company on my screen.

I'd love to...if they were finished. As it is I'm having a hell of a time getting the FW one together. I'm not all that good at working with Resin yet, so I'm finding I have to pin a lot of the bigger things to keep them from falling off!

Once I get it done, I'll probably work on the other two. But for now, They'll be a nice back drop to the tank company I bought recently as well...also still in the box...HEY! I work a lot without lots of free time, I used the overtime money to buy them for the day I do have lots of free time!

Oh, and....

I LOVE TANKS!

I don't wanna think about my models stock cost. I have an assembled tank company and three baneblades sitting around then 2 more tank companies in boxes and 4 bassy battery boxes. Then piles of CSMs and various parts and you know what is funniest? My Eldar side project has 4 revenant titans and two nightwings before you could the Falcons and war walkers and wraithlords.

Could be worse? Dirt biking cost me about $25,000 in 2007.

@mechanicore: well the quikest way to make a regiment is to buy 10 blades biggrin.gif
there is no other way in imperial guard that you can make it faster.
maybe with leviathans...

@loki: yes i,am a cheesehead(how appropriate lmao.gif ).
well there are 3 company,s and one command tank so this is a regiment.
according to the whitedwarf from december 2007.

1 tank is a battlegroup (with leman russ its 3)
3 tanks is a company (with leman russ its 9 plus a command)
9 tank is 3 company,s
and with the command its a regiment. a superheavy regiment.

second (small) armoured regiment is in the making, it consists of:
-20 sentinels
-50 stormtroopers
-30 heavy weapons teams
-20 ogryns
-10 leman russes
-4 macharius
-3 basilisks
-3 hydra tanks
-3 manticores
maybe some other stuff.

and i got an idea for a third, i still got the ''emperors blade'' leviathan tank sitting around.
so then it would come to this :
-leviathan (has a quake cannon)(counts for 3 baneblades its so big and huge)
-2 stormblades(with plasma blastgun)
-2 vulcanhammers(with vulcan mega bolters)
-2 jackhammers( artillery support baneblades)
-1 hydrasword (with two hydra turrets)
dunno if i make a third, that would be a ''years from now'' plan.

@burnie: apocalypse is the best thing that ever happened to the hobby(in my opinion), it has not broken the other codex rules as it is a stand alone version of the game.
it give so much big army deals and it will bring more big models to the table then ever possible before. big models in plastic, how cool is that?? thumbs_up.gif

@byram: have you got plans for that kind of regiment too then?? smile.gif

@numinak: take your time dude, better do it right than to do it right now.
resin is sometimes a pain in the ... drilling alone is a pain in the ...
working hard is always great, its good for ya and it leaves you with money to spend.
there is no point of saving it all up your whole live , since you can,t take it to the grave with you.
saving money is a good thing thoug.

@demonhost: yeah i did that with my regiment. tongue.gif

@lord of rebirth: deng dude... blink.gif that is one serious regiment you got there when its finished?? thumbs_up.gif
keep us posted with the progress... smile.gif

yes and no, i want a super heavy regiment, but i way cant afford it, so i may have to use FoTs method of mass production biggrin.gif with of course buying a few bane blades here and there lmao.gif but at the current moment there is no possible way i have time, Calc 3 with Physics, 2 Law classes, and an engineering class are shaping up to be a brutal semester sad.gif
