the Dragonfish is a medium altetut gunship similar to the Mantee "Graydeath's converson" it is bylt on the hammer head chasis and ar armed with a vast aray of wepons. it is jused as a firesuport when air caste is unawalebol.

it has twin-linked railgun, networkmarkerlight and targeting array.

back with rules
as i said it has: forword munted twin-linked railgun, networkmarkerlight and targeting array.
it must be upgraded with ither 2 lb burstcanons fore 15p ore a Dragonfish smart missil system fore 20p. it can be ecvipt with forloing upgrades from tau codex: blacksun filter 3p, decoy lunchers 10p, distrupsons pod 10p and up to 3 seker missiles at 10p etch.
it has gunship spesial rules.

profile: cost: 210p
front: 11 side: 11 rear: 10 bs 3 (4)
type: gunship

Gunship spesial rule: a model with the gunship spesial rule it move as a flyer but must ither start in reserve ore on the table, onc on the table it canot move out of the table like a normal flyer. esensial dos that mean that it has permament vtrol mode. it can move max 24 inches at the turn and may stil fire all wepons it uses flyer dameg table for hiting purposes and is onle hit on a roll of 6 if it has moved more than 12 inches. if it hav not moved more than 7 inches than you hit on normal bs

I think the "to Hit" rules you mention apply to non AA platforms, so an Anti Aircraft weapon can hit it on normal rolls.

Just... use the flyer and VTOL rules from Apocalypse? They don't leave the board anymore, and IIRC flyers in VTOL mode essentially count as Skimmers with the 'aircraft' range modifier.

i mean that you dont need AA to hit on bs, unless the gunship moves more than 12 inches. i made those roles before apocalypse was realized.
and they count as flyers for hit purposes only. "meaning that you must add 12 to distance when measuring." im working on making a diagram.
