Thanks again everyone! Here's Several Tanks I've been working on for Mariner's Blight. All of them were OOP Space marine tanks that I upgraded with new Chaos tank parts and Baneblade engine exhausts.

I added lots of valve seals and airlocks for that submarine look as well as Harpoon Launchers on the Rhinos. Extra armor plating, tow hooks and ladders completed the look. The Dozerblades on the vindicator are from Kromlech.

Oh, oh, oh! You got those Kromlech dozer blades. You wouldn't happen to have any scale shots of them on anything else? I'm really interested on how they'd look on say a Baneblade. I was thinking of using them as sort of spades on a banesword (the artillery baneblade).

Here's my latest addition; Mariners Blight Defiler Azathoth

This project has been a long time coming… One of the first models I conceived of for Mariners Blight finally become a reality. A mutated octopus , diver daemon engine of pure steampunk Lovecraftian evilness!

Named from Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos; Defiler Azathoth is a splice of a Collecta Octopus toy and a Forgeworld Khorne Blood Slaughter Impaler. I carried the top carapace armour pattern over to the octopus waist area and used Green Stuff Industries Tentacle maker to make loads of awesome tubing around the body core.

The arms were modified to be magnetized and the Khorne stylized impaler was converted to look like one helluva nasty harpoon launcher. The helmet much like my Mariners Blight Dreadnought was made by using a Chaos Tank Searchlight lens for a diver helmet look. The base was from Secret Weapon Miniatures, modified with a wrecked row boat and some additional floating skulls/bones.

I like the defiler, pretty awesome idea and well executed.

The only thing I would say is that the tentacles look a little too organic at the moment. I don't know exactly what your plans are for them, but maybe add a couple of spines or some type of chitin, maybe even a claw on the end of one?

But otherwise? Awesome work.

Thanks man smile.gif

I want to keep the tentacles organic..as if a giant octopus got shoved in a diving suit. It'll all blend when painted smile.gif

Well, that's fair enough. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result.

One of my final units for Mariners Blight…a squad of pre-heresy style Jetbikers.

These guys use Kromlech's Iron Shark Bike kit with some minor modifications (Tow Hooks). The riders were made just like my other blight infantry with the exception of the legs. They were regular Marine biker legs that I modified to look more like MKII Armour.

The bases I made from a combination of Secret Weapon Miniatures Bone Fields bases and regular calvary bases. I imbedded the SWM bases at both ends then filled the middle with pumice paste and assorted earthly remains.

@MrBigMr: I did see that the other day. He's a cool figure.

Progress is fast and furious on Mariners Blight. Here's a sneak peek of several units I'm working on.

Oh wow, just...WOW. I'm glad you were able to post that, I've been wondering how these would turn out. Thanks you as well for the DIY aging process, It never occurred to me to use crackle paint on a mini, just looks lovely. thumbs_up.gif

Hello i try crackle paint with "distress crackle paint" like you, but nothing happening ...
I don't spray it, juste put it with my brush.

Do you mix it with paint, or direct spray it on mini?

Thank for answer smile.gif

PS: i am frenchie, so could you explain with simple word please wink.gif
