Well, the FW landraider finally landed a few days ago so I cracked on and made a start on the Army, a few elements were already in place of course such as the Titan and Dreadnought but I have a few troops and heroes to add. I have initially planned this as a small support force for the Crimson Ultrawings

As I said I have initially planned this as a small support force, saying that the Crimsons started life as a 'small skirmish force' so who knows where it may end up <rolls eyes>

Anyhow, pics below, raider just finished, DN and Titan done a while back of course but will stick em all here to remain coherent, looking forward to an army shot when its all done!

Bagged the DN second hand from ebay, saved a few pennies on the RRP and it was already assembled and undercoated to boot....bonus!

Lot of you are already familiar with 'Gloria' more pics here big stuff bottom right of page

To be honest the main reason I am doing this army is because I think an Army shot when its all done with the backdrop of the titan will look cool! oh and poor Gloria was getting lonely...

i like your paint job with the grey to black

those transitions are really good dont know why this is in the conversion section but i really like it

you must have been painting for a long time

how many hrs did you spend on each of these, besides the titan.

Added a few troops and specials to the army, still a pain setting the cam up to show the silver at its best so some table shots will have to do for now!

More pics over at Grey Knights page

Few below of the Grey Knights, Captain Stern and the FW Inquisitor Lord Hector Rex and his little buddies

makes me wish I hadnt thrown my grey knights out now (sold not literally throw*)

I think plastic grey knights are coming out soon though so your in luck if you want to continue the army further, which Im guessing you do.

Quick update as I haven't had time to take any decent pics as yet.

Terms and additional GK troops done, hopefully that's it for this force. I am hoping I aint gonna get sucked into it like the Crimsons, however I am liking the look of the Lord/retinue packs.....uh oh...

Will get some army shots with the titan next week hopefully wink.gif

Finally found a little time to paint these Inquis Stormtroopers and transport!

Corteaz and his retinue are next followed by a couple more GK Landraiders so I can put together the Hector Rex formation from the new Vraks book. Might paint up another squad of GK's too if I ever get the time

Anyhow, in the meantime here are some pics

Just a small update here, Vraks part 3 allows the stormtroopers to upgrade to a razorback transport sporting twin-linked Pyscannons so I decided to go for it. Payed off really in it's first engagement it dealt the death blow to a pesky Eldar tree hugging hippy hero type....huzzzaa!

On a slightly more epic scale I have been doing some trawling on ebay and after deciding to expand the pure GK army to 3000+ pts. Plenty of paint stripping later I now have an additional 40 PAGK, 7 more Terminators, a redeemer and raider to paint.....sigh I really should have known it simply wouldnt stop at a 'small allied force' on the plus side that little lot being second hand and having some quite horrific paint jobs to boot only cost me about 70 quid....woohoo!

Updates to follow when I get stuck into them wink.gif
