I've been wanting to do this build for a while and I was still in the mood to cut and glue my fingers.
Mogul Kamir may not be a popular character, but since I have an all cavalry force, it was natural I pursued it.

Pics are bad. I tried to quickly clean them up a little to help, but whatevs.

THAT is really cool. I've wanted mechanical horses for rough riders. I never had the nerve to try and build them.

Looking good. The posture and gait seem right on.

Thanks Tebrey. Coming from you (he who kicks plastic butt!) I feel like I did something good (albeit not finished).

I used a spare horse for its stance and general proportions. My model is SLIGHTLY larger than a standard horsey (on the order of mm's), but I figured it should be a bit bulkier.

I always wanted mechanical mounts, but never had the nerve but you have and what a turn out.

The stance is good and looks like it can actually work, just one question though what does it run on ? …….. and I don't mean the ground.

There's always the WHFB Empire Engineer on Mechanical Steed model.

I also remember someone doing mechanical steeds from Tomb King/Vampire Count skeletal steeds with some engine bits inside the ribs.

God, for the life of me I can't remember where it was, but I remember some mechanical horse thing that ran on steam and the furnace was housed in the rear quarters and you loaded the logs from... the behind.

Doesn't the Leman Russ run on pretty much anything combustible? Make a machine like that and you could feed it hay like any other horse and still have it running.

I'd say magic and rainbows.

That's an amazing start to your cyber-steed! Everything looks very horse-like and functional.

Don't forget to give a tip of the hat to "My Little Pony" and put Mogul Kamir's personal crest or regimental colors on its robotic flanks as a 40K version of a cutie mark. biggrin.gif
