The only thing I don't like is the wings. Due to having them backwards, he'd crash and die the first time he tried to turn (the wing flaps are at F'ed up angles).
Then again, he'd crash & die trying to get airborn.
What I absolutely LOVE is the work you did on the cockpit & pilot. Fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!!!

You can never have enough shootie bits on Ork stuff. For some reason I imagines a few big cans of fuel and some very bad plumbing connecting them to the engines. The cans would be on the top of the wings near the fuselage...

i hate people aerodynamicing ork vehicles. they dont need to be make aerodynamically, orks have psychic fields that make their weapons, machines and even the orks themselves, able to function because they distort the material world around them. hence, if an ork builds a cardboard box with wings, and actually believes it can fly, therees a chance it actually might..
anyways, i am loving the fighta bomber as it is. Are you leaving the ork pilot unarmoured, or put a cage round it or a canopy or what?

Something about this WIP just cracks me up when I look at your images, Wally. Oh and may I suggest a pulley and gear link to the elevators? Something slapdash and exposed. I don't have any ork stuff but I may try some just because it looks fun. Straight edge? Who needs that, we use RIVETS!
Flight controls? RIVETS!
Seatbelts? RIVETS!
And so on...

Aside from the slight twitch I get seeing a HE162 not being and HE162 (I LOVE that plane), that is an AWESOME orkyplane. Can't wait to see it finished. Outstanding work and great inspiration.
I've been doing some planning for one or two myself, but thinking about propeller driven planes...possibly a Russian I-16 as a base. Older Russian planes just lend themselves to being "orky" to me.

When you started out I wasn't liking the fuselage but now that you have added alot of extra plating I'm definitely liking it. The turret is also awesome.

That is very nice, well done and keep it up
1 small thing i would suggest is where plasticard layers join etc there are gaps which I think would look better if a majority of which were filled ( using putty or melting plastic in glue and brushing it on )
