Test model for paint scheme
SM Captain on Bike
The Captain will have a Relic Blade, Storm Shield, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher and Artificer Armor.
I'm exceptionally pleased with the Captain. I'm rather disappointed with myself that I forgot to snap a picture of the top of the banner (which has a winged servo skull made out of Dark Angel helmet wing-things and the Devastator servo skull) and the Storm Shield on the side of the bike.

Captain loks good, how you gonna model the storm shield? Also think his boosted stat line is fairly good but he sounds a bit of a point sink. You may find in games he doesn't get the points back.. I've found trying to playtest as much as possible when building an army helps find these things out.
Of course u may proove me wrong and just have a damn cool army leader

Woohoo! Go Scars!
I think using Space Wolves bits is an excellent way to convert White Scars (especially the fur parts fit well with their barbaric theme), but were I in your place i would be careful about the heads you use. The ones you used dont look very mongol themed.
Also I think curved swords would fit better than straight ones. You should check out the old index astartes on White scars if you havent. The illustrations should give you a better image on what they should look like.

Looks nice! I just think that it doesn't look very barbaric, as was suggested earlier. Why? Well, the lines are too straight. Such clean zigzags and stuff. There needs to be tears and scratches and stuff.
but I suppose you are getting to that.
Also, 'snikt'.

That's irritating. Having been with the forum for over a year and a half; yes, I am well aware of the rules. This portion of the army happens to be a PIP, but the project as a whole is most definitely WIP.

i see you painting the army and thus its a paint in progress
if it were a work in progress then it wouldnt be painted at all, just modelling and converting your white scars.
if you wish to discuss this further PM me.
back to topic please

The white was done in an exceptionally lazy manner. The models were assembled and then primed white with Privateer Press' new P3 spray. I then took a thin liner brush and carefully laid GW Black Ink in the crevasses. After all the other detailing was done, I went back with plain jane Game Model Skull White and touched everything up.
I'll have to post pictures of the newly completed half of the first Tactical Squad and the Terminators (please don't ask me why Terminators in a White Scars army, I just had them lying about). I've been waiting to update til things are finished since my post got moved.

These aren't quite finished. Still some odds and ends to touch up, finish the Chainfist, highlight the storm bolters, and the missiles on the Cyclone Launcher will be yellow instead of red, as will the missiles on the Speeder.
I'm pretty disappointed with the decals on the shoulder pads, it's going to take a bit of work to repair. I even did the whole "gloss coat/micro-set/dull coat" trick and it STILL goofed...

Very nice White Scars!
I particularly like the Terminators - you really don't need to apologise for using them! White Scars are space marines, and do have the same equipment as other Chapters, even if they prefer to scream around on bikes!
