+++++ INCOMING +++++

Bit Kingdom's 60mm Challenge!!

The new competition to keep all you conversion, scratch building and gaming addicts active this Fall is this – the 60mm Challenge!.

The folks over at Bit Kingdom and us here at Work In Progress, have a small challenge for you. Simply put, if it belongs on a 60mm base, or less, then convert it paint it and take a picture of it and e-mail THE IMAGE to the contest guy (who moronically worded this at first)! yes it's that simple. Why is it that simple? Simply because Bit Kingdom wants a lot of entries for their prize.

Bit Kingdom will be giving the winner of this contest a free battalion or battleforce! Why would you not try to win that!

We will accept conversions, scratchbuilds or straight-out-of-the-box builds in any scale (on a base that's 60MM or less). Any race/army accepted and encouraged, and any rules system! If you need some parts, ask Nate over at Bit Kingdom, they are sponsoring this contest after all!

1) All entries are due by 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time (GMT-8) on the 11/13/09 (November 13th, 2009).

2) All entries must be submitted are to consist of ONE 700x700 pixel max photo (you may make it a collage, you may also send more, but only one will be posted). Any entries not fitting that criteria will NOT be entered (if there is time left you may fix and resend it)

3) All entries will be submitted to "The Contest Guy" (the Contest Guy will be Brother Weasel, and Brother Weasel only on this one!)

4) All judges ruling is final.

5) Voting will begin shortly after the 13th, and will last for approx 2 weeks

+++++ END TRANSMISSION +++++

Excuse me while I collapse to the ground, start to hyperventilate and begin to giggle like a manic Homer Simpson.

While I'm down here could someone please be kind enough to get me a sketchpad and a pencil, I have a few ideas!

I'm guessing that was just poorly worded? Otherwise I'm gonna try to model up something rude and fit it on a base and mail it too you with haste.

Rules edited to indicate that WIP does not actually want the actual entries, just a digital representation thereof. biggrin.gif

Errrr Boerk....I think it can be anything as long as it can fit on a 60mm base. Diorama, single mini, small vehicle, the only thing that should matter is that it fits on a 60mm base.

Sooooo....you can make anything if you aren't on your computer? if your internet connection goes, wouldn't that allow you more time to work on your entry for the competition? Or do I live in crazy world? tongue.gif

It just has to belone on a 60mm or less base...

IE i dont' want someone to put on baneblade on a 60 and call it good...

(unless it's an epic blade i suppose)

use some common sence, if you question it's legality to hard, it's probably not legal...

I could see a couple of smaller minis on a 60mm base, but i'd say ghazkull vs a dread would be too tight...

if you really want to know, send me your idea in a pm and i'll make a desision:)

Its great to see another contest so soon.
Only problem is I gotta finish pretty sharpish considering I leave home in 1 and a half weeks. laugh.gif

May I suggest a little more advertising of Bit Kingdom though considering they're being kind enough to provide prizes? I don't mean anything overboard, its just at present I don't think that theres even a link. (And no I don't have anything to do with their company by the way!)

And one final thing, what if one of our many talented European/rest of the world ex. US) members was to win (I'm pretty sure Klaus (see last comp) isn't from the US for instance tongue.gif)? Can stuff be shipped internationally?

IGNORE THIS: just read the opening post a bit closer and found my answer

Sorry all!

Unfortunately I'll have a hard time fitting the ATHENA on a 60mm base...
but I'm tempted...
I could probably get her landing gear on a 60mm base...

Just kidding

Dammit! Klaus is entering the contest, lets all just bow out graciously then. tongue.gif

Go with an Epic Scale version of the Athena. Should just about fit on the 60mm base.

about the 'any rules system'...

any GW-related rules sytem or really any rules system? Because i'm scratchbuilding a Battlemech for the Clix System at the moment, which might perfectly fit into this scale. But Wizkids is really not GW-related.
