The elevator looks great and fits nicely on the landing pad..... One question: Where did you get that large Adeptus Mechanicus logo? Or is it a scratch made one? It looks brilliant.

Thanks for the info! I have to take a close look on the Forgeworld area on the german Games Day on sunday for this little bugger because I need some of them for my plan of a techmarine workshop.
I love the Wall-E movie...this little fellow is so great!

White or grey. White stands out well against the rest of the model, but grey fits the colour scheme better, seeing as the base of the pillar is grey too.
I love the elevator btw, great idea. happy.gif

Grey. IMO it would make the piece look like they poured the concrete and then riveted on the brass armour bit.

thanks a lot!

I will paint it grey, like the base even a little lighter.

and now a pic what I've done so far (not very much - had a match today, was a draw against orks with my bloodies.)

Too much bare metal on the back and top sections (the platformer kits, I think). It would look better if you added some color, as you did with the other sides. Maybe it's not done yet?

The other parts (with green, etc.) look very good. I like the two metallics together also.

Yes I know what you mean, the front plate looks to metalic - i think so too.
I will add some detail paintjobs. On the following pics you can see some detailwork I started with.
The "entrace"wall downstairs will be covered by the elevator itself. On the roof I will paint the tubes in a differend colour and the barrel too. The "exit"backwall wont be seen, because it lays to way back in the shadow.

Thank you for your criticism! smile.gif

the pics with some detailwork, like painted wires, tubes and knobs ...

The painting and the little details really make this piece pop! Great work!
Does the elevator floor actually move? or is it glues in place?

the skulls get a bonecolour, of course the little aquilla will get a golden paint the lamps metall and the big black parts get a pattern of black and yellow stripes.

I thougt to paint the big aquillas in a white shape, what do you think, maybe a golden or brass look will fit better?

I would try to add some black outlining or shadow to the white eagle to make it more visible.

The number should be painted the same: white characters with black outline, like some navy ships.

Example here
