Scratchbuilt Slaaneshi Soulgrinder, Custom sculpting and scratchbuilding

Okay, so I'm trying to get the pregger's done tonight, and needed to get the legs for the throne done. I was going to go with mechanical looking styrene legs...until I realized that the legs on the other grinder were just the right size.



Sometimes in the course of making something cool, sacrifices must be made... So, reluctantly took out my dremel and chopped my six-legged grinder up for spare parts. :'(



Now, don't feel to bad as she just wasn't working out: to symmetrical, to static, to boring, not sexy enough. Exhibit A:



Anyway here's the idea I'm going with now:






I'm thinking of making the chain legs mechanical, say like hedonism bot from Futurama. Someone suggested it before, but I don't recall who. Comments and suggestions are as always welcome.

well I have lurked a while at this topic which even inspired me to start some slaanesh daemon army of my own (still WIP)

So a little suggestion here, get rid of the mechanical chair and the bondage things for the pregnant soul grinder. It looks too much over the top, too many legs and a multiarmed being on it, itīs just too much. Use these legs instead for the spider like soul grinder you draw up/sculpted.

So instead of the spider legs I suggest you make some sort of disc/tableau for her to sit on which is carried by a horde of daemonettes or slaves.
You could fuse the hands or claws of the carriers to the disc or the flesh of the soulgrinder directly so that they have no chance to run away.
This way you combine this image of a "goddess of fertility" carried around/praied to with a horde of dedicated followers/cultists/daemons. I think that would be a very convincing and unique look.
You could also add some tentacles or loin clothes to the side of the disc so you donīt have to sculpt or use up too many mini for this You could even have some cultists tramplet about and left behind on the soul grinders base.

Seeing the model plus the legs, it does look very over the top and 'leggy'. Maybe you could have a hovering platform along the lines of a Slann from the Lizardmen armies, or maybe something with tracks or wheels?

I think a hovering platform would be better, but it might be difficult to get to balance if the model is heavy.

Legs are fine, but maybe make them more into methanical legs than organic. Make a distinction between the lady and the chair.

I really like the idea of putting her on a Dais/Pallanquin carried by Daemonettes! I personally think that would look fantastic.
