Decided to try my hand and building MegaArmor from Plasticard. Used an AoBR Warboss as I have five of them. :smile.gif

First, the bitz and other supplies followed by some cutting.

After cutting off his arms, some bitz, shaving off his back and front, and cutting him in half, I began to add pieces of his MegaArmor.

I glued his torso back onto the legs at an angle and added the parts to cover his crotch. These two, front and back 'skirt', pieces, I cut out of much thinner plasticard because I needed them to bend around his waste. It took several tries to get it right. biggrin.gif You can also see the circle band I cut to cover his waiste like a belt. It is also cut of the very thin plastic card.

At this point, I decided that trying to cover the legs in this kind of armor would be more difficult than I could handle at the moment, so I cut a couple of pieces to cover his thighs in Orky Skull shapes.

Then, I went to work on his cybork right arm.

I finished the right arm with the original hand and Twin-Linked Big Shoota (with extra ammo ;D) and cut the Powerklaw arm at the elbow in order to bend it forward. This left a gap in the back, which I covered with some elbow armor made from the super-thin plastic card.

I used a Nob head as I wanted to represent a bosspole without an actual pole, so chose one that had an iron gob. I alaso covered the neck/head cut-out in the top of the MegaArmor.

I added some Orky paraphenalia to complete the look. The tooth necklace and ork face I shaved off the front of the torso returned to that same spot as a piece of Orky jewelry and some computer parts become smokestacks. I also returned the power bitz of the Powerklaw to the model's side.

I cut the gob and topknot off the bosspole, rearranged them, and added them to the back of the MegaArmor. I cut a couple pieces of plastic card in the shape of a fist. That should be plenty to represent being equipped with a bosspole. smile.gif Also, added a couple of teef symbols to the right upper arm.

And, there you have my new Ork Warboss/Nob in MegaArmor. Now, to make 10 more for a full squad! blink.gif biggrin.gif

Looking good! I like how you used the wire wrapped bits on the right arm. I've often thought about getting some wire to make my own, made some really cool power cables that way as well.

Not a fan of the "extra ammo" on the shoota, seems a little too big. Other than that, looking good.

Yeah, I would agree if it was a Space Marine konversion, but I decided that, being an Ork, bigger is better. So, I went with it. biggrin.gif

@ Coco

Those wire-wrapped pieces came from the motherboard pictured at the top that I scavenged for cool-looking parts. Broken motherboards are awesome for Orky bits and for being cut up to use as vehicle dashboards. wink.gif

Thank you both, and Wally, for your C&C and praise.
