Rather than finny monstrosities produced by GW - i want my submersibles to be essentailly Akwatic. biggrin.gif

I need them to be done for Orkfest VI -- this summer.

the first is based loosely on moby richard (since you cant say d_ck here)

the second will be just a conning tower, gun and flight deck breaking the surface

and the third will be an unloading submerisble tied to shore

anyway - here is the first - still some work to be done and i forgot to add hatches but since i am lazy i am calling this one almost done anyway

[I Swear Too Much].

Huh, I did not know that...

Anyways, they're looking really neat! Keep up the good work.

EDIT: Just noticed the 'Niddly/Sea monster beast crawling out of the water, that's cool!

you should do a U-Boat style one, that would look really cool

infact that has sparked an idea off for me laugh.gif

ive always liked the idea of ork subs, interesting aspect to have in an army, but hard to field i would say, as most battlefields ( or gaming boards ) dont have the ocean on them haha

forgot this picture of the front - oops

for water I will be painting the wood and then pouring some resin for the first time - probably with dye in it.

don't know if i can achieve effects like these, but willing to try

water effects

as far as terrain goes -- if someone is holding a glass of water, this baby is going to rise from it. biggrin.gif

No. 1 not done but started #2 - this one is just the decking above water so building from the top down -basically building the interesting bitz first then fitting them to a minimal hull showing above water (probably just conning tower and gun decks)

the gun and an akwatic deffkopta with flight deck

the mek will be in there too somewhere -- he's a classic -- probably snipping tie down chains

These are great! Are you putting some water effect resin onto the bases?

yes - just a heavy resin varnish for now -- i will paint on a thin coat to seal it and then pour - i also intend to tint the poured resin with a few drops of paint - not sure if that will work but i am giving the "godzilla" and "shark" away to others and it becomes their problem thumbs_up.gif

i got aproximately 30oz of resin at the craft store, simple mix and pour - binary equal parts. So even i shouldn't be able to screw this up too badly...... laugh.gif
