Title: M&m Scarabs
Brother Captain - March 25, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
I had another go at trying Foundation Paints recently and I decided I wanted to paint some bright colours. Then the idea sprang into my mind. Since I had some spare bases of Scarabs laying around why not paint one of them in bright colours. Then I remembered I like M&Ms (the variety with the peanuts inside being my favorite) so the M&M Scarabs were born. The pictures could have been better but that's the best I can do at 3:30 am

I hope you like 'em. And here's the link if you 'd like to vote on CoolMiniOrNot:

These look SO cool! Mind if I borrow the idea? ^_^
I'd hate to be the poor Guardsmen having to choose between killing them, keeping them as pets or eating them (in turn, killing them!) :D

As your attorney, I must advise you to change the name of these confections to avoid litigation. Perhaps "N & N's" since theyre of Necron origin.
Of course, these would be the "fun size" package.
Nice work.

Oh... sweet ^_^ The orange one is my favorite, it looks best in my opinion  Say... is that with one or several coats of foundation paint? I've heard some pretty amazing stuff about their coverage.

I painted one slightly thined down colour of Foundation Paint, then 1 or 2 coats of normal GW colours and the highhlights. It might sound strange but I think Foundation Paints cover better if they are slightly thinned down. And they don't ruin details as well.
