For those who haven't heard about this yet, this September sees the release of a new two player starter boxed set. Its been listed as approximately $99.

17 plastic Warmachine models with corresponding stat cards, which are;

Warcaster Kommander Sorscha
Juggernaut Heavy Warjack

For those who are unsure of what this means, to put this into perspective, the Khador starter boxed set contains Sorscha, the Juggernaut and Destroyer Warjacks, and costs $49.99. The metal Man-O-War unit would cost £83.97 to buy the 5 minis. Straight away, you see the price saving. That is a 25point army.

Looking at the Menoth army, you can see the same. The starter boxed set contains Kreoss, the Crusade, Vanquisher and Repenter Warjacks, and is also $49.99. The Exemplar Cinerators would cost $44.99 to buy. That is approxmately also 25points.

So, for roughly $99, there is nearly $229 worth of minis in the boxed set, thats two fully fledged armies.

(Incidently, anyone who buys the boxed set, I might be willing to swap you the Menoth minis for the Khador ones ;) )

Oh, and it seems that August's new releases have been moved into September's, due to the increased demand, with the Cryx Nightwretch bonejacks being released in plastic, as well as the Cygnar Sentinel and the Menoth Redeemer light warjacks.

You know I just bought my first Hordes army.. have several figs and 2 armies for War Machine so finally had to do it and buy me a Hordes army.. bought the Skorne army.. something about them beating elephants tell they get mad enoguh to kill you made me buy them... hmm :drool:

I know, I've got 25 points of Cygnar forces on my painting desk, and now I see this! Oh well, thats plenty of time to get the money....oh, and the desk cleared.

But you're right, the starter sets are an amazing deal, like for example, the Khador box is a huge value for money, you basically get one of the Heavy Warjacks for free.

Now, if only there was a Hordes starter boxed set with the Circle and another faction in there. Then I'd be happy :lol:
