I love the look of the Mordheim "Possessed" warband:


So, recently, I went on a eBay spree and bought blisters and bitz. I got virtually all of them, excepy for some of the Brethren, if I'm not mistaken. Although I skipped the mutants ;)

But why am I telling you all this? Well, I've decided to create an Empire army based on them; they'll be the unit champions and leaders :) Rank-and-file will probably be converted Bretonnia Men-at-Arms, because those fit the robed look pretty well; I'll basically be giving them new arms, heads and shields, that's about it.

I found the following fella's for my six handgunners:

Painting and slight conversions are underway :)

But I'm still looking for idea's and more miniatures. Specifically, I want the army to be lead by an Captain on a warhorse, plus a bodyguard of five knights. I'm not quite sure what I'll do with/for them...

As one can see, I'm not averse of non-GW mini's, so by all means, suggest them :)

Heh, cool to hear. I'm liking it as well; there's something about sinister armies that get me going :)

Anyhow, my current idea for the Captain would be converting Magister #2:


Slice him in half, find a proper lower body, go from there?

Why not mount him on a nightmarish steed?

That is, in fact, something I'm planning :)

For his bodyguard, I'm currently thinking of taking Chaos Knights, but toning them down; "de-Chaos-fying" them ever so slightly and giving them heads akin to the Possessed Brethren.
