This is just a ruff idea pic of which he turned out a hell of a lot better after playing around with some stuff.

I will post stuff latter of the next few steps.

Seems like its going to be a create retinue. Even better it'll have a common theme going through even the Inquistor looks good (I seen some units where the henchmen look fantastic, but the Inquistor looks very out of place).
I like it, can't wait to see the finished results.

Good luck with them

Playing around with green stuff and starting to get the hang of it. Less is more is the key and working with soft sticky vs hard and needing to be glued is a learning exp.

Left hand will be the fabled Warp Window that I am thinking about doing. Front part of a tv or something that allows the sage to see things from the warp. Still up for grabs.

I really enjoyed this guy as he was a lot of bits. DA book bit, IG open left hand, Bretonnian guy, and arms all cut up. Empire feather of which i cut the tip off and played around with a bit arrow to make the point. I then cut into the hand so that I could move two fingers to place the quil pen.

I am going to do a background hock for these guys as to why and how they became Inq Lord Sheltons Familiars.

Hierophant--This guy just kind of has me at odds because of his head, though it might just fit if I could find the left hand items and the tank to finish him up. Comments about the head or one that could replace it and look better?

Still working on the lord and should have almost all of it complete tonight. Though he still is looking like he is going to be needing somehting to finish him off. I am at odd as to what this might be but will figure out it once I get a good final look at him.

Playing with green stuff again, filled in the back to make it look like the front with chain mail.

I have gone back and removed his null rod hand so that I can insert magnets on his arms. Its going to take some time but over all it will be a hell of a lot better to change out needed hands as I go.

Question Commets.....

I still have one Acolyte and a Warrior with plasma cannon.

As of now my plan is to have a cadian/necro warrior/bit SM plasma cannon for the servitor plasma cannon warrior.

As far as the Acolyte goes it going to be some time now before I figure out how I want him to look. Still looking for ideas.

MaltonNecromancer - June 15, 2008 12:11 AM (GMT)
These are really awesome; some of the most interesting and orignal conversions I've seen. The Inq Lord is particularly atmospheric.

However, they're still very Fantasy Battle. You need to "40K" them up a lot more; cybernetics, pipes, wizzy bits, etc... I would also suggest giving everyone a pistol somewhere to at least suggest modernity.

This is good stuff; I look forward to seeing how it progresses

I'd second the pistol comment. Maybe you could use some of the pistols from the Empire Pistoliers plastic set to give the holstered and drawn pistols. A bit of sprue or something to add a power cell to the archaic looking pistols and you'll be sitting pretty with a great retinue and inquisitor.

Ya, I was looking around and or just thinking on what I could add to change them up a bit. Though with the write up the Inq lord is very very very very old because nobbby really knows about the Deamonhunters. I will check that out when I get home from work in the morning.

Getting some pics down tonight of my rats that I completed a few days ago under the IG forum.

thanks for the ideas as I am still sitting with out an Acolyte of which I need some type of idea.

joker1972 - June 18, 2008 07:37 AM (GMT)
So I am not the only one who looks at the Warhammer for inquisitors. I think I going to steal some of your ideas for my new daemonhunter :D

Buggus - June 19, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
Have at it Joker1972 but their is one idea of which I have only talked with three people and never in my life of 40k have I seen it. So at the Chicago GT just a few days before I leave I will post that Idea and show how I did it. Its going to be a change in 40k unlikes any have seen.... :D

Buggus - June 27, 2008 08:50 AM (GMT)
Well all, I went back to the Sage unit and redid them by adding on some bits and such. I am going to have some pics up this weekend of what I have done with them. As far as the last two guys in the unit I am still working on them and have yet to come up with an idea for the acoylte.

Nemissary - June 27, 2008 02:51 PM (GMT)
I really like your inq lord. His retinue is very nice also. I don't have any odeas for the Hierophant except that the head does look a little large for the body and kinda crowds the mini when you add in the huge weapon. Waiting on more pics :)

Buggus - June 27, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
Ya, I am still thinking about just removing his head and adding another one I have around in my bit box. To me it just stands out to much and takes over the effect of the mini.

Shadow Nugz - June 28, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
I would take the Termy chest and take the top loopy piece and make an Iron Halo looking thing out of it. Love this stuff keep it up.

Here is an update to one of the guys and I will also be posting some pics tomorrow after I take them of a few of the other guys that I did a little work on.

I added the radar dish from the rhino spur and a vox pack from the catachan spur line. I am going to green stuff straps or a strap as well as running a wire from the dish to the back pack.

Abomination-----

Their is a reason Inquistor Lord Shelton was dispatch, this reason shall be posted in 16 hours. You will see the Abomination for the first time, hope that its the last.

So I needed a center piece for my display and after some time I saw that I had this xtra bit laying around. Yes, this will be my center piece and the reason the Inquistor was sent. I will give out some more detail in 16 hour and the reason it will be 16 hours is that im tired of changing my passwords because my two computers keep forgething them. I have it set to hold the password but for some reason my home puter keeps removing the password, delete cookies? So I have to I have to go the forgot password and redo the work puter.

I have somewhat finished Inquitor Lord Shelton and will post him as well for commits gang. I have gone back on a few and will be starting on my servitor plasma cannon shortly. I am still looking for an acoytle as I have not found one that I want. I have seen a few under the empire line that would fit but then again I would rather have a created one then a already made one. Thinking about greenstuffing one with a basic guy and then robe him up? I am starting to get the hand of this green stuff ( You have raise your exp level by 1, you are now level 2 of 1000 ).

See you all soon. :D

got my Chicago ticket in the mail today,,,,,, Guard---tournies--- :o

Abomination---

So I was thinking about my center piece and the background hock for it. I am going to set up four pillars and chains. The chains are going to have a bit of a Hellraiser feel to it and the pillars will be called the Pillars of Enslavement. The idea behind this is the pillars with the chains, bind the captive and then it allows choas to attempt to poses the soul and mind of whatever they have bond in the center of the Pillars of Enslavement.

So here is a snip of the center piece?

The idea is that the Tyranids invaded the planet to harvest the resourses of which they did not know that nurgle had already prepaired for there arrival. Once the nids had started there assault on the planet, nurgle forces moved in and removed all forms of the hive mind so that he could attempt to poses the lower minded best of the Tyranid army. Most have failed but the carnifex is showing promis, thus the reason for the I picked him as the center piece. I am going to have a nurgle invested Carni in the center of the PILLARS OF ENSLAVEMENT... mahah mahah, haha hahahahmahahahhahaha hamahah

What do you guys think? Hell I might even make a nid army with a nurgle theme to it,,,,

Personally, I am more keen on icons rather than banners for inquisitors (or best, brasieros/infernos).

As you can see here : http://www.coolminiornot.com/122658 (image height to big for forum rules, but width ok).

Now, it's up to you ;)

Buggus - July 10, 2008 05:15 AM (GMT)
Ya, yesterday while doing a bit order I was looking at termi back icons. Oh and I finally found my preacher stuff to finish him. It just took me awhile to remember what I had done with it. I had placed it in a bag and placed that back in storage for some reason ugg. Now its back to finishing him up.

Buggus - July 12, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)
Precher is about 90 percent complete as I just need to run the hose to the tank. I am still debating on the new head I place but I think I might keep it for comic relief.

I have also started on my acoylte of which is going to take some work. I wish I had my camera with me tonight so that I could get some WIP pics to post. That way I can keep moving forward with the project. As it is I am going to stop on these two until I get some shoots. Idea for this guy came from the book so I am going to try and copy as much of the guy in the book that I can. Deamonhunters codex under ret.

Will post soon enough.

Buggus - July 12, 2008 09:37 PM (GMT)
Here is the precher that we I talked about. I am going to redo the pics as it was at the house and I did not have that much light like I do at work.

Acoylte

I started with a Flagallant and cut off his feet and trimed down the neck section. I then got a Bretonnian Archer from my bits box and snipped off his boots/shoes as you can see in the pics. I was also out of left arms so I hacked his off as well to mock up for green stuff. I am going to green stuff robe arms and then attach the chainsword and las pistol. Lot of work ahead of me...

Here is some of the work for the servitor as he will still need a fair amount of work. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to place the plasma cannon back pack on him. I am also going to green stuff another section in the neck so that it reaches the head I want to place on it.

I will redo the pics today for better lighting and repost them tomorrow.

As of now the thing that stands out the most is his flag on his hat. I am still thinking about going back and removing this before he is completed.

Update--Last night I was placing the green stuff flag section on and busted the top section of the banner. The green stuff was real sticky and I was trying to work the shape of the flag some when I pulled a bit to much and the support gave. I was like [I Swear Too Much], and then spent the next 20 mins drilling up into it some more. I then removed a half inc of metal from a paper clip and placed it on the hand and jammed the top section back on. So now that its good and pinned I am going to greenstuff it again. Prays to the Emperor that the it does not break again.

We can rebuild him, we can make him stronger, faster, better than before....

I chopped this guy the other day so that I could return to him and repose him. Just waiting for the glue to dry was a bit tricky as I did not want to add weight on him to cause him to fall in some form or fashion. Well I am really happy with the way this guy is turning out and wow he has been a lot of work.

I give you my Plasma Cannon Servitor not complete because when you say dont touch please because the glue is drying. Then your return in the morning only to find the guy simi snapped in half uuggg, TYLER>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>10 year olds.

So I am back to the waiting game before I put the rest of him together because of the amount of weight from the cannon and back pack.

Buggus - July 13, 2008 10:47 PM (GMT)
So we have here a head attached to a body but its missing something behind the head. See in pics to better explain.

user posted image

As you can see there is nothing leading up to the head so I had to really start to think on how or what I was going place there. At first I was going to dock some terminator storm bolter arms tubes off and place. Then it hit me and it was the item that allowed me to connect the plasma cannon back pack as well. So I started.
user posted image

Operation, the big question was I going to hear the buzz and or get the 500,000.00 buck for preforming major surgery.

user posted image

As you can see I started to hack out the lower two vertibreas(spelling)

user posted image

So far succes but I still have work to do,,,

user posted image

As you can see I glued the section back in up top so that it connected the head to the spin.. sorta,,

Now this is the reason i needed the smoke laucher section from the Leman Russ Battle Tank...

I removed one of the launchers and docked the tip so that I had a round surface. I then removed some of the launcher section so that it would fit and stick out only so far.

user posted image

Well, now it was onto getting the rest of the stuff completed. More to follow in a few mins.

Buggus - July 13, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
So, how am I going to attach this plasma cannon to the servitors arm?

user posted image

Well I figured I would drill into the back of it and place the hand inside as if he was holding it up via a handle or something. After I drilled it out I noticed that it would look better if I removed the inside wall so that the hand would show. This is what I really wanted and had pictured in my mind.

user posted image

Notice the necron hand,,, thumb,,,,After a few mins of cleaning the area I was able to remove it and replace it on the side.

So, after sitting there looking at what I had created and thinking some more of the over all look I wanted. I saw this green rod still in my boxs and started to think

user posted image

I was thinking that maybe after it was painted that I could melt this stuff down and place it in the cannon section. Though this answer is still way off as I have still got some work to do before I paint it.

Here is a pic of the body and legs and head and I added a stand in to show how tall he was.

MOAH FLUFF for my Chicago GT list.

Just finished another section of my GT list. So let me know what you guys think with a little feedback pleab. If you see mis-spelled words please point them out or fragmets and such. You know when you look and look and look some more that sometimes you over look. Just seeking a little help from the group.

Officio Assassinorum Operative: Eversor—95

Out of all the Operatives that Lord Shelton could pick, he tended to pick the Eversor the most. Lord Shelton could not recall how many times he had used this assassin though he could recall one fight that the Eversor paid in full while giving up his life. That very fight happened on Dordaron II, and with out this type of assassin this mission would of required a more subtle approach.

It seems that the summoning was further along then what was thought. While trying to make there way deeper into the cavern they came upon this notion when they started to see a greater resistance in the form of lower level Deamons. Though they encountered a greater number of Deamons they still had a chance. If the summoners had fully opened the gate though, a dispatch would be sent out to recall all troops involved and to leave for orbital bombardment. In effect the end of the planet and everything on it!

As they reached what appeared to be an open cavern. They noticed that a group of human looking mutants were dressed in robs and bowing before what looked like a portal. The portal was small and fluxing but was allowing for the Deamon to enter our realm. As Lord Shelton moved forward he found that they had prepared a defence in the cavern that all but stopped forward progress. Over time the portal grew and the fluxing slowly changed to almost a permanent fix.

Time was running out and a bold plan was needed to end this hypocrisy. At first Lord Shelton was going to lead the charge before he was stopped by one of his sages. The sage had already calculated the outcome of the rush and the odds were heavily stacked in favor of enemy. At that point a shadowy figure stepped out of the darkness and reported on what he had been sent to do. The Evesor had returned and with out any luck as to finding an alternate route to the center of this cavern. The Evesor informed Lord Shelton that the walls around the cavern have been re-inforced, so melta bomb charges would be unable to penetrate. The Evesor himself looked like he had been in quite a few fights along the way as well.

Lord Shelton looked over at the sage and asked what the total outcome would be. If a full on charge was set then withdrawn so that the Evesor could attempted the final charge. The sage looked puzzled as he did not know all the details for what Lord Shelton was talking about. Though he did start to calculate the outcome and after looking at the data, the sage informed that the Evesor would have a 34 percent survivals rate. Lord Shelton informed the team of his plan and the assault commenced. As the team moved forward so to did the Deamon. They were set on defending this portal at all cost and it showed. At this point the team fell back into the areas that they could take cover while the Evesor moved forward with his advance.

At first it did not look good as you could see that he was taking hits from all direction. Then again taking hits does not mean that he is taking wounds as even though they might hit the Evesor he could still roll with the punch as they say to bounce it off. In all effect he could still dodge the blow even though it impacted him. It was during this moment that the Evesor vanish as his combat drugs kicked in thus hurling him to the center of the summoning. At this point the Evesor started his assault, brutally ripping the head from one of the Deamon that was protecting the summoners. In a matter of seconds the rest of the Deamons assault the Evesor assassin.

It was at this very point that the Evesor paid with his life, though fulfilling the request of Lord Shelton at the same time. The Deamons assaulted the Evesor and though he fought well and managed to remove seven of the Deamons, they had won. Victory cried out from the remaining Deamon in the room while they held his body up laughing at what the Inquisitor had sent at them. What they did not know was the main reason the summoning ended. At that very moment when they held his body high, it exploded killing the weak fragile summoners and two more of the Deamons.

With out the summoners the gate slowly closed and the fragil grip that the Deamon had on the world vanish, and so to did the Deamons. Another cry rang out in the cavern but it was not the Deamon but the Inquisition and his forces this time. Victory sounded all threw the large caverns and so yet another world was saved, saved from the grip of CHOAS!!!!

Later that day Lord Shelton found that the world was still infested, and so order total annilation of the planets…. THE END :)

Here in a few mins I will post another section I did last night over his familiars.

Buggus - July 26, 2008 12:32 AM (GMT)
MOAH FLUFF for the Chicago GT list.

Here is the write up on the Familiars that I showed in the pics on the first page.

3x Familiars,

Lord Shelton first encountered these creatures on a distant planet while investigating some rumor in the system. At first Lord Shelton was thinking that he was seeing things as each time that he turned around the trees themselves would have changed pose, or moved. It was not until he returned to his ship in space and ordered a scout ship to do a fly over, that he found out what was really going on. The trees themselves were some how alive. Lord Shelton returned to the area with a small force to investigate the matter.

At first the creatures did not move while he was looking and it was not until Lord Shelton walked up and threatened one that it did not react. The creature was weak and its reaction was slow but he did get the creatures attention. Lord Shelton was intrigued and realized that they had started to back up. The next thing he new a much larger version of the creatures was standing near him. At least four time the size of a rhino and the ability to inflict mass amount of damage. The creature did not attack but merrily started to speak. At first the words seemed like gibberish but the sages soon found common words of which these creatures understood.

While they talked, the larger tree moved its branch and three of the smaller ones stepped forward. Lord Shelton realized that these three were given to him as a form of ambassadors. Soon after Lord Shelton made a detailed report and escorted these three to a chamber until he returned home. On his return the Ordo Mallues High Counsel ruled that if he wanted to keep these creatures as pets, then that was his call and other than that the Ordo Mallues would have them shipped off for study.

Lord Shelton informed the High Counsel that he would keep these creatures and use them in the service of the Emperor. At first he could not think of a use being that they were so small, none the less he took them under his wing. 22 years have passed and still he had not used them in the service. They themselves were not much taller than his waist and could see no use for them, or at least he thought. He had also spent a fair amount of time with them and had grown attached to them. Attached was a word often not used because of what it meet to Lord Shelton.

It was uncommon for Inquisitor Shelton to grow attached to something, being that almost everything he had loved or enjoyed its company had been killed off in the service of the Emperor. These fragile little creatures showed promise but he did not feel they would be ability to perform in the environment. Though that would all change when one of the three followed him off the ship. The next thing Lord Shelton new was that this little creature had infiltrated behind enemy lines and was giving a detailed report. At first he was upset and it showed as the creature coward before the mighty Inquisitor.

Lord Shelton soon found himself feeling something he had never before felt. An emotion was rushing over his body and he was unable to control it. He was mad, angry at the little creature for not staying on the ship. He was upset and the retinue saw this and sorta found something else to do with there time while Lord Shelton talked with his pet. It was a matter of minutes before he understood what was happening to him. He cared for this creature because it was one of the few things that had been with him for the last 22 years.

Lord Shelton informed one of his Inquisition StormTrooper squad to escort his pet back in his personal rhino. Little did he know that this rhino had been marked by the enemy and though his pet tried to inform him of this, his anger did not allow the creature to speak. Hours later after the intrusion was removed did he find out the fate of his squad and his personal pet. Lord Shelton ordered a full dispatch to the location of the Intel of the destroyed rhino.

As the rhino arrived that carried Lord Shelton he could see there faces. Lord Shelton heart raced as he ripped open the door not waiting for the gear to manually open it. He stepped out and moved quickly to the destroyed rhino only to find his first and most trusted Strom troopersquad standing with there faces hung low. The veteran sergeant from the squad stood before him and informed him of the news. Lord Shelton turned to his Hierophant and informed his to extract the bodies and bring to his ship. He slowly returned to the damaged door on the rhino and asked for forgiveness from the machine spirit with in. After which he summoned a servo skull and sent a detailed message of his transaction against the blessed rhino to the High Council on Mars.

On his return he set down and pick up the two remaining treelings and spoke with them about it. After talking with them about it he dispatched them to there chamber. The next day the priest prepaired the body of the creature with anointments of scared holy water from Terra. After which the body was placed on a slab and was set to be sent into the Emperors Flame. The follow morning the service was completed and the chamber was set in motion so that the scared body of the creature would be cleaned by the Emperors Flames.

Lord Shelton looked up at the marble statue of the Emperor and asked that this creature be allowed to stand at his side. He said that this creature died in the service of the Emperor and should have all status and honors of any that serve the Emperor. The doors to the chamber that housed the Emperors Flames opened and the body of the creature slowly moved towards the chamber. The two treelings moved forward and started to tug on Lord Shelton cloth. He noticed this and nelt down with them and started to talk. The treelings would not allow him to speak or even listen but insisted on pulling and tugging him.

The high Hierophant that was over the sermon noticed that the single treeling on the slab somewhat moved. He them moved forward and shut the system down and looked at Lord Shelton. The two treelings pulled him over to the other treeling on the slab. All watched as the single treeling stood up slowly but stood up none the less. Lord Shelton was puzzled at first but soon realized like any living plant it can grow again. Joy spread through out Lord Shelton but he new that though his pet lived, one day it would die like all things that have come under his watch…

Copy past from word and sorry for size and format.

Let me know if you see anything that needs to be adjusted.

Parts: SM Commander head, SM plasma cannon, Necro complete, SM Bolter holder left hand, LRBT Smoke Laucher section.

The SM bolter holder left hand was cut off. Then the hand was cleaned and then each finger was cut away from the rest. I then snapped the thumb half off so that I could bend it forward. I filled the gap and then spread the fingers. After which I used a thin blade to apply glue to each of the fingers. That way I could pose them and keep them that way.

I am going to give these guy a few more days before I return to clean him up. I need to remove some of the glue as I used it to bound certain item and fill in gaps.

What you guys think, somebody reply :(

Really love your idea for the plasma servitor...other than the plasma gun itself. Just seems a bit large and bulky for the spindly body. Just my thoughts.

At first I was going to cut up a cadian, necron, and then add in the cannon. After that I noticed that it was just to big for the guy. The next step was to creat my own cannon though I had no idea on how to do this. So after looking at the bits I went with this idea instead of trying to do my own because of time. As of now I am working on the Inq Storm trooper and trying to get this side of the project finished.

I have so much to do and time is running out on me....

As always thanks for the replies guys. I just wish more people would chim in with in put as it brings about a creative side when we put our minds together. Just posting my lascannon team in my IG section gave me a whirl of ideas for the other two teams once I start.

I am going to return once the green stuff has time to really set and do some more work on the flag. As it is you can see that back and that it needs some cleaning up. I am also going to test out with adding line and such to the flag.

In the next day or so I am going to be getting my paints ready for these three units and two rhinos.

Inq lord plus ret,

2x Inq Storm troopers
2x Rhinos

I am thinking about going with a really light/baby blue on the lord and then either follow suite on the rest and or going with a grungy look on the ret and following suite with the rest? I really want a bright army that pops on the board instead of a dark color, thus I will be starting with a white primer for this project.
