Shadow Pack's Lair, Cloaked in shadows, they reside here

[Wolves Alphess]

The area where the wolves reside is in the deeper, darker part of the forest, cloacked in shadows. Thw wolves stay anywhere in the clearing where they wish, dens dug at the foot of trees, near rocks, anywhere. The Alpha's Den is a cave nearby, with a decent view of the wolf dens. Prey is placed and eaten just outside the Alpha's den, where he'll be able to monitor who eats first and how much they eat.

[Twist]

The Lair is wreathed in the pack's namesake, the canine forms that often slink in and out often covered in a perpetual gloom. So it is not surprising to see part of the darkness emerge into the scrappy, wiry, and coal black shape of Twist - a wolf small of build for a male. He lopes somewhat clumsily into the clearing, eyeing his packmates - his current posture seeming at first to be submissive with his head hung low. This is soon confused by his tail which does not hang in between his legs and the scruff of his neck which remains standing.

His striking amber eyes roam across - possibly looking for a particular packmate.

[Fuswar]

On the edge of the clearing lay Fuswar. A wolf that wasn't even a part of the pack. He stayed within the shadows, his straight sleek black fur blending well with the shadow. The deep rich brown that nearly looked red on his chest and his pale brown paws could likily be mistaken for rocks and dirt. The only thing that would stand out of place in this shadow was his emerald eyes. Deep and menacing. The slight breeze blew towards him, carrying his scent away from the clearing.

He observed the surroundings. The clearing looked like the sort of place he could settle in. Dark and shadowed, leaving plenty of places where he could sit and watch. It'd be easy enough to sneak around the whole clearing if he stayed quiet and in the shadows. All he needed was a target.

His gaze scanned the clearing, looking for whatever wolf may be the packs leader. He had already got a taste at being in charge, and he wasn't just about to lower himself back to being one of the lowly wolves in a pack that had to bow down to the Alpha. No, he'd be the Alpha. And he was going to take it by force. All he would have to do is take out the Alpha and this pack would be his.

[Wolves Alphess]

00C: I'll be rping Shadow Pack's current and to-be-killed Alpha... so yeah...

The lean yet sturdy form of Shadow Pack's alpha, Alpha Darkclaw paced around. Looking closely, one could just barely see several scars beneath his thick, dark pelt. Not for the first time, he was thinking about that night that lost him his daughter to a stupid wolfdog and even the pack's respect for him. A slight limp in his right hindleg reminded him of the time that son of a bison wolfdog bit his leg.

A low growl rumbling in him, the alpha padded over to the leftovers from last night's prey. There was a wolf looking through it, obviously looking for a small snack. Darkclaw let out a snarl at the wolf. He raised his head and tail, reminding the wolf that as alpha, he had control over who could eat and when. Almost instantly, the wolf lowered himself and began crawling away, but Darkclaw didn't miss the look of hate in the wolf's eyes.

that one. Fuswar nodded to himself. He stood up and, sticking to the shadows, got as close to the food as he could. when he had he padded right into the camp and bent over the food to take a bite.

[Wolves Alphess]

Though he wouldn't ever admit it to anyone, Alpha Darkclaw nearly jumped right out of his fur when a wolf suddenly came into view, seemingly out of nowhere. Anger instantly replaced his shock when the wolf approached the food and bent down to take a bite, taking no notice at all of him, the alpha of this pack!

"Who are you and what do you think you're doing?" Darkclaw snarled, hackles raised, ice-blue eyes narrowed.

Fuswar raised himself up to match the other wolves posture. "The name's Fuswar. And I'm for your Pack." He said, keeping amore calm pose. Meeting the wolfs eye but not raising his hackles.

[Wolves Alphess]

00C: Don't you think you should use your Fuswar account?

BIC:

Darkclaw kept his glare on the wolf. Just who did this Fuswar think he was? "If you want to join my pack, Fuswar," he spat out the wolf's name with disgust, "You should do a little more than just barging in here and taking our food."

[Fuswar]

bic: "Join? And what? Be under your rule? Sorry, but that doesn't sound so good to me. Theres no place where we can take this without having to damge this nice place is there?"

[Wolves Alphess]

Seriously, who did this wolf think he was? What gave him the right to just come here and think he could take the pack? "Are you suggesting you become alpha of Shadow Pack?" Darkclaw took several steps closer to the wolf. "What makes you think you can be?"

[Fuswar]

"First off, I think I have better breath." Fuswar said, pulling his head back a bit. "ANd, if you don't think I'm fit ... why don't you take up my challange? What harm could it do you?"

[Wolves Alphess]

Darkclaw let out a wordless snarl before turning away from Fuswar and addressing the pack. "Y'hear that? This trespasser thinks he can challenge me for the position of Alpha! Crazy, ain't he?" Fury and frustration filled him when he was shown mixed reactions, some laughed along with him, others made several taunts and insults directed at Fuswar, but disturbingly, a good number of the pack seemed to think Fuswar could win. Darkclaw could tell by the way the wolves turned to whisper words to each other, shaking their heads when they looked in his direction and nodding when they were looking in Fuswar's direction.

Alpha Darkclaw made a mental note to see those wolves after he dealt with the crazy trespasser. "Alright, then." He turned to face Fuswar, "I'll fight you, and beat you in the Battle Ring."

[Fuswar]

"Fine by me. I'll let you lead the way." Fuswar gave a slight bow to the Alpha.

[Twist]

The Lair was different, somehow, as Twist entered it, his nose sniffing the area. It was more than it being the first time he would be seeing without Darkclaw, no, the Lair reeked of promise, as the wolves gathered around their home. It reeked of the promise of blood.

Licking his lips and nodding to himself at something or other, the young black wolf looked around, wondering if things will take the turn he'd been nudging in. Licking his lips yet again, he looked around for something to eat, to fill the belly that demanded something to consume.

Turning, he regarded the pack's new leader, wondering, his features now blank. "Alpha."
He turned to study the wolves. "Perhaps, since your rise to leader has been quick, so should the rest of your battles be. Quick, efficient, and before they know what's hit them, the Shadow Pack would have the four packs underneath our paws."

He walked toward a somewhat clear part of the lair, the ground dry and impressionable enough. Lifting his right paw, he traced the approximated figures of the area, with the light, fire, shadow, and water packs territories marked. "It is probably best to turn one of the packs against the other, first..." He narrows his amber eyes. "I'd say turn the Light against Fire...and I think I know how..."

[Fuswar]

As they entered the clearing, Fuswar got his first good look, or maybe it was just a new perspective. Walking right into the clearing without slinking through the shadows almost made the clearing look brighter, though at the same time darker, and a little more sinister. He liked it.

He noticed Twist licking at his lips and just then realised how some of the wolves looked like they had barely eaten in the past few days, while Darkclaw had been fully fed, if not over. His wolves looked strong despite that. And they'll be stronger with a little food in their stomachs, He looked around to the left overs from the last hunt. That needs to be worked on, he decided to himself, then turned back to Twist as he began to speak.

He followed Twist as he led Fuswar over to the patch of earth. He watched as he created the map and remembered the area from the battle ring in the center. He nodded as Twist finished speaking. 4 packs would make an even split, two vrs two. having an ally on the other side of the river seemed a wise idea. So that One pack could stay in the others the night or so before battle instead of swimming across and being spotted right away.
If they could get Light pack on their side without Fire or Water pack having any word aout it there could be a 2 on one situation. And the one would have no clue what hit them.

He looked up at Twist when he stopped talking. "How?" Fuswar asked.
