Fuswar versus Alpha Darkclaw, for the title of Alpha of Shadow Pack!

[Wolves Alphess]

Alpha Darkclaw's lips curled in disgust and annoyance as he walked towards the river, hearing the pawsteps of the pack and Fuswar following behind him. He'll knock some respect into Fuswar soon. It wasn't long before they reached the river, and on the other side of it was the battle ring... and, it made Darkclaw growl to think of it, Fire Pack's territory.

The Alpha went into the river, making as little reaction to the moving water as possible. He walked then waded when it got deeper in the middle, then walked again as he reached the other, the shallower side.

The black and grey Alpha of Shadow Pack shook his dark pelt before entering the area circled by stones, known as the Battle Ring. Wordlessly, he glared at Fuwar, his hackles raising even more as he tensed his muscles and bared his teeth in a snarl.

[Fuswar]

Fuswar dove into the water after the Alpha. His sleek fur barely holding much warmth but letting him pass through the rive quickly. He shook off the water aswell, then brought his hindleg up to scratch behind his ear, all the while staring back at the Alpha.
"Whats you name by the way?" He asked formally, though his tongue lolled as he scratched his ear. He brought his foot back down and stood, staring at the Alpha. Waiting for an answer.

[Wolves Alphess]

"Give me a reason to tell you, you flea-bitten rat." Darkclaw growled. Once his wolves took their places around and outside the ring of rocks, he began walking. He mentally cursed the wolfdog now ruling Fire Pack as his hindleg began hurting, causing him to limp slightly as he began circling his opponent.

Doing his best to hide his limp from Fuswar, Darkclaw growled, "I'm going to make you regret giving in to your ambitions, rat." He'd show Fuswar, and he'd show his pack that he was still a great alpha and a powerful battler. He'd show those young wolves who'd been whispering behind his back that he was not getting 'old and weak'

[Fuswar]

"Ah, because I would like to know your name when I'm giving you praise while standing over you're dead body." He began to circle with the Alpha. He quickly glanced around the group while he had the chance. The pack looked strong. Fuswar regretted having to do this, but he wasn't about to just lower himself back to the rank of a mere wolf again. Not after he got a taste at what it felt like to wake up knowing that the wolves aroung you were at your comand.

He scanned his opponents face, searching for weakness there. He didn't notice the limp. If it was hurting the Alpha bad enough it'd show in his eyes.

[Wolves Alphess]

"I see," Darkclaw replied, "I thought it was because you wanted to praise Alpha Darkclaw's name and beg him for mercy as he stands over your battered body." The Alpha of Shadow Pack didn't let his eyes leave his opponent as he continued walking in the circle he and Fuswar were making.

Instantly, in the fluid flow of movement of an experience fighting wolf, Darkclaw crouched then sprang, aiming to land on Fuswar and dig his teeth into the back of the wolf's neck.

bic: Fuswar leapt at the same time to catch the wolf in mid air rather than to have Darkclaw land ontop of him. His paws outstretched to catch the wolf on either side of his high and mighty head, and his neck posed the reach out for him to bite down on the Alphas neck when he got the opportunity.

Darkclaw let out an enraged snarl as Fuswar leaped as well and even managed to bite at his neck. Still snarling as he hit the ground, the black and grey wolf struck out hard with his hindlegs, putting his energy into them in an effort to kick Fuswar into the air and off him, before he would be able to dig his teeth deep into the alpha's neck. As he did this, nowhere in his mind were the deep bite wounds in his hindleg that would surely burn with pain judging by the amount of force he put into the kick if it would land a hit on Fuswar's stomach.

When Fuswar got the initial grip he jerked his head to tear at the wolves neck. Then they hit the ground, loosening Fuswars grip slightly. Just as he reached to get a better hold, the wolves strong hindlegs caught him in the stomach. Being a tad smaller then the Alpha, the blow took his breath and knocked his grip on the Alpha completly away. He stumbled backwards slightly but quickly caught his breath and lunged at the Alphas hindleg, aiming to sink his teeth into not just fur but to damage the muscle aswell.

The alpha grunted as pain shot up his right hindleg. Curse that wolfdog! He'd make that dog pay for what he did after teaching Fuswar a lesson on respect. He rolled onto his side and was about to rise to his feet when Fuswar lunged again. Darkclaw yelled in pain as Fuswar's teeth dug into his already painful leg.

Snarling, Alpha Darkclaw struck out with his other leg, aiming to trip his opponent.

[Fuswar]

The Alphas strike was true. It knocked out Fuswars front legs but instead of releasing his grip he bit down harder, putting all his weight on it to hold him up for that split second, since his forelegs had been swept from beneath him. He quickly recaught his footing and, with a growl to match the Alphas, began to jerk his head with small sharp movements to dig his teeth deeper.

[Wolves Alphess]

Darkclaw was on his side, forcing his whimpers to turn into growls before they grew audible enough to be heard by his enemy. He had to get his leg free, but how? Maybe those cubs were right. He wasn't as young as he used to be. Just as this thought entered his mind, another part of him snarled in defiance, unwilling to admit it.

Determined to win this fight, Darkclaw bent his body so his head was near Fuswar's. The black and grey wolf aimed for Fuswar's ear, planning to hang on and tighten his grip until Fuswar let go of his leg.

[Fuswar]

Fuswar watched out of the corner of his eye as the Alpha bent towards him. He snarled louder and shook his head more vigorously, tearing a little more at the Alphas leg before he felt the teeth latch onto his ear. He howled a wimper slightly and struggled to hold to the Alphas leg. He couldn't jerk his head anymore or he'd lose his ear.

[Wolves Alphess]

Darkclaw tightly shut his eyes for a moment, his leg burned with agony, but at least it was aching a little less now that Fuswar couldn't jerk his head and add to his leg's pain. When the Shadow Pack Alpha opened his eyes, he could just barely see his blood staining the grass.

"Lit goh o' my lig!" Darkclaw growled through a mouthful of Fuswar's ear. He readied a paw, if Fuswar still refused to release his leg, Darkclaw planned to strike the wolf's chest with a forepaw.

[Fuswar]

Fuswar let go and brought his paws above his head, trying to pry the Alphas jaws off his ear.

[Wolves Alphess]

Darkclaw instantly released Fuswar's ear the moment Fuswar released his leg. As quick as he could, using his three remaining 'good' legs, Darkclaw scrambled to his feet and positioned himself a small distance from Fuswar, a distance about the length of two tails.

The black wolf balanced on three legs, keeping his bleeding leg off the ground as he gritted his teeth in pain. Forcing his voice to sound calm and taunting, deprived of the extreme pain he felt, Darkclaw spoke, "Hah! I see you're starting to learn how to obey my orders. By the end of this fight, you'll be doing all I say, head bowed, tail between your legs!"
