Water Pack Camp, Near where the river flows

[Wolves Alphess]

The wolves of Water Pack reside near the river, a line of wolf dens are positioned nearest the river. Near these dens, three holes that go deep into the ground is where wolves who have or will soon have pups stay. Past these are the dens where elders stay. Past all those dens, is the Alpha's den, where the wolf leader can easily see his pack. Prey is placed in the center of the Water Pack Camp, between the elders' and mothers' dens.

[KuroGin]

Kurogin and Aoikage were just lying under the sun. After having admittance into the Water Pack the two wolves were content with their life as it was. The birds chirped and the sound of water flowing in the river were music to their ears.

Aoikage rolled over and said to his best friend "Hey Kuro come on let's go swimming!"

Kurogin looked over at his friend and replied "No you go. I'm more into running than swimming."

Aoikage cocked his head and smiled his wolfish grin at Kuro. "Ok then." Then he ran and splashed into the river causing Kuro to get wet in the process.

Kurogin slept on as Aoikage splashed and played in water. He looked up at the sky.

"It's about time for a Howl gathering", he said to himself.

[Yumisuzu]

Yumisuzu had just come back from her hunt with a few others, bringing in some deer and pigeons. There wasn't much, so for now that would have to do. Looking up, she noticed that it was almost time for the Howl gathering. Hearing splashing noises from the river, she went over and said Aoikage and KuroGin.

"Hey you two, it's great to see you're having fun and all, but would it kill you to actually help some of the wolves out here for the gathering?" she asked, getting splashed by accident as Aoikage continued his swim. She shook off before walking over. "Let me try that again. How about work now play later?" she asked, sitting down and licking a paw.

[KuroGin]

Kurogin looked over at Yumisuzu, his fellow packmate and then stood up.

He stretched and said "Sure, what do you need help with?"

Aoikage had then gotten out of the river and shook his fur dry drenching Kuro and Yumi in the process of this shaking. When he was done he looked over at the other two and laughed when he saw water dripping off of them.

"Haha sorry about that. Okay no prob Yumi. What needs to be helped with", as he wagged his tail excitedly.

Kurogin sighed and shook some water off his fur too as he waited for Yumi's response.

[Yumisuzu]

Yumi rolled her eyes with a small smile on her face. "Could you help me and the others carry what we managed to snag today? Three deer, five rabbits, and three squirrels. We can't carry it all at once so all the help we can get is appreciated." she said and shook off before walking toward the pile of meat carcasses.

[KuroGin]

Kurogin nodded his head and followed Yumisuzu to the pile of fresh kill caught. Aoikage trotted along beside them.

"Wow, you guys caught a lot today", Aoikage whistled as they neared the pile. "The prey must have been all attracted to you today Yumi, since you're so pretty."

Kurogin looked at the pile and began to drag a deer closer to the center of their camp. He sneered at the way Aoikage was trying to flatter their beta.

[Yumisuzu]

Yumi rolled her eyes. "That's a wonderful compliment Aoikage." she commented. "What's the catch?" she added with a laugh, sticking her tongue out as she grabbed one of the deer nearby. "Flattery always has a hidden agenda, if you know what I mean." she added casually.

[KuroGin]

Kurogin chuckled as he heard Yumi's reply. He continued his way with his deer.

Aoikage laughed as he was used to Yumi's replies. "Hehe there's no catch, just want to tell you the truth of your beauty."

[Yumisuzu]

"Oh really? You're not just saying that just because I'm Beta now are you? Honestly Aoikage you never change." she said with another laugh, they each were getting closer to the center of the camp. "But, I assume that while you're at it, the compliments about me can continue." she said with a wink.

[KuroGin]

Aoikage stood there with his mouth hanging a bit. He closed it and then followed the other two with a rabbit in his mouth, a bit embarrassed.

Kurogin, still snickering, walked to the middle of the camp with his deer and the others followed behind.

[Yumisuzu]

Yumisuzu had a small sweatdrop behind her head. "I didn't mean that offensively or anything, you do know that right? It's just playful teasing, I'll say." she said with a hesitant grin.

"Hahaha it's ok", Aoikage replied with a wolfish grin. He then playfully nudged Yumi and Kuro and got between them smiling as they kept walking.

Kurogin then sighed but tolerated it anyway.

[Yumisuzu]

"I've always envied your careless and free ways Aoikage, not a care in the world, a little bit on the hyper side, hm?" Yumi said with a smile. Being the Beta meant there was more responsiblity of course.

Aoikage looked over at Yumisuzu. A light blush was plastered on his face. As he looked away, Kurogin looked over at his best friend. He knew that Aoi had had a slight crush on their beta ever since they came to the pack, but this was the first he had seen his hyper friend quiet.

"Yumi, Kurogin started. "When is the gathering exactly? Has Alpha picked the members who are going to go yet?"

Yumi either A ) seemed to not notice Aoikage's apparent crush or B ) ignored it as she turned to KuroGin.

"The gathering shall be at the Alpha's den, when she returns from her travels. I'll send a howl when she has arrived." she said. When they reached the center and unloaded the carcasses, she turned to them saying, "Care to go for a hunt with me again? I figure we're gonna need as much as we can. That was all we could carry, but I figure that with you two by my side we'll be able to get more." she said with a grin.
