"Hmm?" Fortis tilted his head to one side. What was Roric talking about? What did he mean by that? What did Roric owe Fortis? "What do you mean?"

Roric's blue eyes suddenly widening only increased Fortis's curiosity and confusion. "Roric? What is it?"

Roric looked back to Fortis and shook his head. "Sorry, just saw Gin for a moment."

"No, you took me into your pack and so I owe you that endless loyalty alone. Then, you saved my life so now I owe you that too. So simply put, loyalty till I die, no matter how swiftly that comes."

"Bored.. Bored... Bored..." Gin said softly to herself as she came back out of the den she just went in, wondering what to do as she paced in a small circle before giving a sigh. There was nothing to do, and everything seemed a bit. . . weird. It was like she felt like she should just sit and do nothing, but that would be boring. Her ears perked though when she suddenly saw Alpha Fortis talking with Roric. She smiled a bit, tail swishing before stopping herself from bounding over there. They seeemed to be discussing serious matters, so she stayed put where she was befoer sitting down and then staring at the sky.

"Oh..." Fortis glanced in Gin's direction before returning his attention to Roric.

The large wolfdog managed to smile, "Thanks, Roric. That means a lot." Though now, he had pretty much gained his pack's respect, past experiences, alienated and disliked in his youth were the reason why wolves promising him loyalty still surprised and touched him.

"But don't forget, as Alpha, I've my own loyalties and responsibilities to the whole pack."

Turning his head to face Gin, he waved his tail, and nodded his head, gesturing for her to come over since she looked like she wanted to.

Roric nodded and laid his head down, his neck getting tired from holding his head up. He looked past Fortis as the Alpha waved over Gin. He smiled slightly as he wacthed her restrain herself from approaching before-hand.

Gin had her head to the sky before seeing a small movement. She looked over to see Fortis shake his tail to signal her advancement. She gave a small smile and a nod before coming over and wagging her tail slightly. "Hello gentlemen." she commented. "What'cha doooinnn?" she couldn't help but ask before tilting her head curiuosly with a smile.

"Ohh... nothing really..." Fortis replied before he let his eyes rest on his paws, "Talking about Alphess Kallah..."

The large wolfdog opened his mouth to say more, but he couldn't think of anything he could say that wouldn't result in him and probably his packmates too feelings sadder. Besides, at the moment, he didn't quite trust the steadiness of his voice. He closed his mouth.

"O-Oh..." she said softly before having her ears behind her head for a moment. "I see... I'm sorry, did I.. interrupt...? I really don't want to be an uneccessary attendant in this conversation you're having." she said with a small smile. She gave Alpha Fortis an apologetic look, an unsecure one though. She didn't mean to make things go a bit sour. Maybe she probably shouldn'tve asked at all...

Roric stayed quiet, though almost gapeing at Gin. She wasn't thinking already of leaving after just being called in, was she? He surely hoped not, though it really dawned on him then how odd it was to be talking of Kallah in a past tense, rather than what she is or will be doing. He hadn't been there very long but he had grown accustomed to her pressence in the camp, and he realised that too was gone. It was all gonna be odd now and he couldn't help but a little whine escape his muzzle as he let out a breath of air and watched it stir the dust at his nose. He narrowed his eyes at how alittle breeze from something new to the area could stir and unsettle the dust that had claimed that bit of earth long ago. Narrowed his eyes at how easily things changed.

The Fire Pack Alpha's head and ears shot upwards. "No, it's perfectly fine, Gin."

"Uhh..." He wasn't sure, but Fortis suspected there was something... something a little more than just friends between the two wolves. And the whine he thought he heard from Roric may not have been out of physical pain.

"So... you... If you two want your own private time, I don't mind leaving... Ferox probably regained some energy by now after his nap..." The last statement was just an excuse.

Roric's eyes shot up to Fortis as he guessed what the Alpha was thinking. If he were human he probably would be on the verge of blushing right now, but instead he just felt his pelt heat and he glanced a Gin, wide-eyed. He looked down and shifted uncomfortably. He didn't know what to say, but he felt that if Fortis left, it would almost be quite as uncomfortable still.

GinHikari raised a brow. She was pretty much oblivous to this, so she in turn tilted her head a bit. "Um.... ok?" she said unsuredly. "I mean,.... you don't have ot leave, Alpha Fortis. I mean, uh...." she paused before giving a slight annoyed growl. "I'm not making much sense today, am I?" she joked with a soft chuckle. "Well," she paused, glancing off to the side. "I-If you wanna leave, Alpha, er,.. with all due respect I don't see why you can't." Wow... She felt like she was totally being disrespectful now! A slight sweatdrop rolled from the side of her head as she gave a rather cheesy smile with a sweatdrop falling as her tail made a few swishes before stopping.

Fortis raised a brow, mildly amused, a smile tugging at his lips. Turning to Roric, he said, "Well Gin's fine with me staying or going. You, Roric?"

In all honesty, he didn't know what he wanted to do. In the den... well... he wasn't up to scenting his mate but not seeing her or sensing her presence. Staying around here... or in the camp in general... memories abound... and if he went on his lone-think-time walks... he didn't want to end up thinking about how he had had been doing just that while his mate went to risk and loose her life...

"I'm fine either way, Alpha" Roric nodded. Maybe being around wolves would do the alpha good, and not just this weak and wounded one at his paws.
