"most of the time we don't really have much a say in it, it's just the way it is." Fang said silently.
"right now, we need to get some help for the wounded. Can you call upon some of the healers?" Harlock asked and looked to Firefly that nodded shaken by the turn of events.
"first officer, get us back on corsage back to Luviji. I think we need to have every one safe and sound there for some time." he growled finding some worry arise again for the two that were already there. and that raised some of his sorrow again. images of Maya, Tochiro and Marian flashed quickly by in his head.
I don't want to lose anyone else like that, ever again. he thought silently knowing that Lighting could still hear him as well as Mimee and the ship itself.

Without even saying a word, Kenshin reached over and placed a firm hand on the pirate captain's shoulder; giving him a look that told him that he understood the anguish he had gone through, only too well.
"Whoever it was you had lost, my friend, they are watching over you now. Stay strong for them, if nothing else.....and stay alive. Honor them that way." Kenshin silently said; surprising Harlock with his insight, yet sensing that he understood what he meant by that.
"You're right.....It's about all I can do now. Thanks for the advice." Harlock replied, and got a sad smile from the ancient rurouni in answer to that.
"It's from hard lessons learned, from too many years of wandering." Kenshin sighed, then looked down at the wolf laying in front of him, "In many ways, I am a rurouni who will never stop wandering. Are you willing to wander with me, my friend?"
"As far as you go.....I'll be by your side. Count on it." the red-furred wolf promised, painfully.
"Then consider yourself a rurouni as well.....Wanderer." Kenshin said; noticing when the wolf's ears perked up, and his eyes widened slightly, as well.
"His true master has just named him.....and he's noticing the difference." Fang mused, when he saw this; grinning slightly when the other wolf's tail started to wag a little bit, and a contented smile appeared on his face, as well.

"i have to return to Emeraldas side.. rader befor she kills all of the attackes.. we wil need one alive to tell us what is going on here." Angel said with a fait smile.
"be careful, we'll talk back at Luviji." Ligthing said nodding.
"just make sure they make it." angel siad low and hurried back though the gate.
"aah." Harlock siad low and looked to the smaller screens showing the sickbay, where Doctor Zero were doing what he could for their friends.

Within just a few hours, Kenshin again found himself on Luviji, sitting at his master's side. He noticed (with some very evident relief) that the elder swordsman seemed to finally sleeping peacefully; his ki was calm, and there was no hint of stress.
"You've rescued the young lady he'd made contact with, I take it?" Winter asked, as he approached the rurouni's side.
"Aa. And it was a timely rescue. If we had gotten there any later, even Maetel-dono wouldn't have survived the ordeal. Shishou's warning had saved her life." Kenshin replied, quietly.

the healers were working hard trying to tend to Maetel and Tetusro. Harlock was more than relived to learn that he would be soon waking up his wounds fortunately not so deep as they first had seemed.

"But I still haven't figured it out....Why were the hunters after Maetel, this time? So far, Prometheum's been dormant." Tochiro Sr. muttered, in the back of Harlock's mind. At this, the elder pirate could only inwardly sigh, then uneasily leave the healers' sanctum; heading outside so he could see the stars, and try to find some form of solace in their light.
"I don't know.....and that worries me. Kichigai is dead, and Gokai had been dealt with long ago.....It is probably a safe bet that Maetel doesn't know who had hired the hunters, either." Harlock mused, as he leaned against the building, briefly removed his eyepatch, and rubbed both eyes tiredly with his left hand.

"we will have to wait and see what Emeraldas and Angel gets out of the hunters themselves.. granted I don't like any of this.." Ligthing hissed angry. there felt like yet another dark shadow had fallen over them.

"I know." Harlock muttered, rubbing Lightningtooth's ears before looking back up at the stars with a foreboding look in his eye, "I don't like it, either....."

"this is the second time Bounty hunters have used electrocution rings.." Harlock cursed. he did not like it all as he remembered all to well his own run in with does things. but where did the hunters get hold of the rings?

"It won't do either of you any good, if you worry yourselves sick over this. Go back to your ship, get a drink, get some sleep, and then figure out where you're going next. That is what my friend has always done, in the past." Kagemaru muttered, as he came outside and sat down alongside them; his expression bordering on annoyed and minutely concerned, as he gazed at the pirate captain and the wolf clan leader. At this, Harlock could only sigh and smirk slightly in response to it.
"You're right, of course." Harlock agreed, then glanced at Lightningtooth, "Do you think any of the Luvijian sake is ready?"
"It's probably so potent now, that it will knock even you off your feet, my friend." Lightningtooth mumbled, yet started leading the pirate in the direction of the liqour shops, regardless.
"And that is exactly what I need right now." Harlock said, as they both walked away from the healers' home; their worries temporarily eased by the prospect of some good strong drinks....

Emeraldas cursed. the bandits had not known anything about why her sister had been wanted only that it was someone private that had not given them a name or a face. the queen Emeraldas were on it's way back to Luviji after making the conductor and Claire clear that Maetel and Tesuro were okey and safe and that they would be returned to the train as soon as it were safe for them to do so.

"There's still so much we don't know....I wonder what will happen, before we can find out what's going on?" Emeraldas uneasily thought, as she stood at the Queen Emeraldas' helm; her unmovable facade actually showing a hint of her nervousness in her eyes.

"lighting just told me that the healers have done all they can. they expect Tetsuro will wake up soon. hopefully he can tell us something.." angel said low as Emeraldas sat down in her chair.

"Hopefully....." Lady Emeraldas agreed, then silently and uneasily added, "But I have the feeling that it will be quite some time, before we understand any of this......Yet I can only hope, that we'll find out what it all means, before any more tragedies can happen....."

We eventually found out about the imminent invasion of Rhine, a few more of our old allies were found there, and we stopped history from repeating itself by battling Prometheum and winning." Kagemaru said, as the story came to a close; smirking when he saw the almost-enthralled looks on Gemini's and Silver's faces, as he finished.
