It felt good. Early morning riding always felt really good as soon as you actually got going. Waking up early, to the low buzzing of an alarm clock, nothing sucked more than that. It was early when he actually was buzzed from his alarm clock vibrating on the desk that was in his room, and by the time he grumbled and rolled over to turn off the clock, he was starting to wake up. His blonde hair had been plastered to his forehead, lank without a quick brush-through, and his blue eyes were tired. He faintly recognized the numbers on his clock, reading out 6:00, and glowered at it the whole time while he had started to get up.
After that, waking up was easy. Marc had trained himself to get up early, and once he was out of bed, he could actually wake up. He walked around with ease, gently tip-toeing past Liz's room, as to not wake the stable owner, and closed the door behind him, as he walked outside in his riding gear. His helmet was latched, but not on his head, and dangled by his fingers as he walked towards the stables from the house, trying to be quiet. The large doors of the stables took a few moments to open, but now that Marc had been living here for a little while, he had gotten used to it. He wouldn't leave them open though; even if it was the beginning of spring, the mornings, especially at seven, were still cold. He didn't want to get in trouble with Liz for leaving the doors open.
"Hey Blaze, you up yet?" he asked, cautious and quiet, as he closed the doors to the stable. He could hear some rustling of the hay, some mild snorting, and a small smile touched Marc's face. Just as he thought; Blaze was up and ready to go. He could see the black stallion's head through the spaces in the stalls, and Marc quietly paced over there, and unlatched the door. "Hey buddy..." he whispered quietly, raising his hands and Blaze stuck his head inbetween them, headbutting Marc's chest lightly, "You ready for some excersize?"
Marc didn't take long to attach Blaze to the cross ties and get him all ready to go. Curry comb, brush, hoof pick, mane and tail brush, and then of course all of the riding gear. Marc chuckled, as he led out his best buddy, "You are one handsome boy, Blaze." Marc was thinking about tackling one of the trails today, seeing as Blaze was so lazy going anywhere else. Normally Blaze wasn't so lazy, but after moving in, Marc had to agree that he wasn't as active with Blaze now as he had been on his parent's farm.
It took a few minutes, but they were soon at the mouth of the trail, and Marc looked expectantly at it. "Here we go." He strapped on his helmet, making sure it was tight, and pushed all of his blonde hair out of his face. "Let's go Blaze," he said, nodding to his horse and patting him on the neck, and then lifted his leg, placed his foot in the stirrup, and then hoisted himself up onto the saddle. Blaze figited for a moment, but Marc grabbed the reins, completely in control. "All right," he said, a smirk lighting his handsome features, and he clicked his tongue, and said, "Walk," and immediately got a reaction out of Blaze, as he started to walk slowly into the trail.
