Character #: Fourth
Name: B'rian
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty-four Turns
Status: Weyrleader
Dragon: Bronze GarethPersonality: B'rian takes the role of the 'father' in the Weyr and treats everyone like he would his own kids, if he had any. He cares deeply for everyone and treats them all as equals, Rider or holder. Strangers might see him as being gruff, but he's a kid at hard and is easily moved.
Appearance: He's rather...large and has all the looks of a mountain man. His appearance of size comes both from his height and his presence. As clean-kept as he tries to appear for Chloe and the weyr, his gruff appearance always shines through. He has short, shaggy tan hair and dark brown eyes.
Biography/History: B'rian comes from Benden Weyr. When, as a candidate, he met Gareth, his dragon, the weyr had high hopes for the two of them. B'rian, however, thought differently. He was assigned to another weyr and soon grew tired of the drama of the north. It wasn't long before he met Chloe and the group going to Southern. He saw it as just what he needed to get out of his slump. He didn't expect to become the Weyrleader, but he loves the job and being able to watch out for everyone in the Weyr.
Every since becoming a Weyrleader, he takes it upon himself to be a peace maker, although he insists that he doesn't go looking for trouble. According to him, looking for trouble to happen makes you miss the real problems.
Family: His cousin,
Trisha. She's the sort of family that you just have to humor, lest you be disowned by richer family members.
Likes: The inhabitants of Westing, Chloe, flying, Gareth, gambling, games of chance, food (particularly meat)
Dislikes: Not a whole lot, although he isn't very partial to vegetables.
Hobbies: Gambling, flying, and the occasional fishing
Friends and Enemies:Chloe, the Weyrwoman -
K'ay - While K'ay was on his 'journey of self-discovery,' he met B'rian. It was B'rian that finally convinced K'ay what being a Dragon Rider really meant and it was K'ay that suggested that B'rian come with them to Southern (although it may have been a ploy to give B'raden some competition for the position of Weyrleader). The two of them are fairly good friends and root each other on.
