Making an adoptable character is almost exactly like making an actual character, with very few changes.
As such...
*copies and pastes out of severe laziness*
The main difference is that, while you make the character, you don't own them. Instead, you sell them off. Whoever wants the character can buy it from here for the price you list and you will get the marks for it. Sell them for whatever you want. Great characters will sell for a lot and sloppy characters will sell for little...or nothing at all.

PetsWhile your character may have a pet, firelizards are not allowed right off the bat. firelizards must be earned through contests. Your character also cannot have a cat as a pet since cats are feral and untamed on Pern. Rules and Guidelines- Only two characters at first. More will be allowed at a later time.
- Ask permission if you want a Queenrider.
- NO CATS. Ever.
- Length and quality are not entirely related. As long as you can write well, it doesn't matter how short it is. However, try to avoid one-liners.
- NEVER EVER EVER roleplay an unapproved character.
- Update your character's profile every once in a while.
- Canidates are generally young. Please have them in their teens at first.
- Dragons may not be a non-canon color without permission from an admin.
- Humans must stay within natural color ranges as well, or they'd better have a darn good reason for the strange colors. As awesome as anime is, it often doesn't apply to real life...or Pern.
- Keep your characters original: The sick character thing is overdone (Both admins have a character like this. Oops. XD), the tragic past thing is WAY overdone.
- If you can't decide on a gender for your Dragonrider, go with male. Remember that male dragonriders are more common than females.
