New ANBU in town

[Ryusuke]

Ryu walked Satoru down the streets to the Otokage's Office. He ignored the people who gave them weird looks.
It's like they haven't seen a pair of injured shinobi... he thought angrily.
They arrived at the Haru's office and went in. Ryu walked past the many working shinobi in their and headed straight for Haru's door. You know Ryu's usual disregard for authority? Yeah, that didn't go away quite yet...
He knocked on Haru's door and waited for a response.
I hope he doesn't yell at me... Ryu thought.

[Satoru]

While they were walking down the street, Satoru wanted to punch half the people in the stomach. It's not like they hadn't seen a wanted criminal before. He grinned as he noticed Ryu's blatant disregard for authority in the Otokage's office. 'Couldn't have done that better myself.' His grin turned to a frown when Ryu knocked on the Otokage's door. 'Hope the Otokage is nothing like the Raikage.'

[Haru]

Turning the corner Haru saw Ryu and… someone else standing in front of his office door. Both stood facing it and looked as if they were waiting for something to happen.
Smirking he walked up silently behind them, one of his better skills, and stood, arms crossed and smirk still plastered on his face. Sometimes it could be quite fun to be the Otokage, he could almost get away with anything and everyone had to answer to him, plus he could be as disrespectful as he wanted.
“Baka Ryu, if you just did what you were supposed to you would have known that I wasn’t in my office.”

[Ryusuke]

Ryu sighed and turned around. He's used to the Otokage's annoying ways of showing up where you didn't think he would.
"Hey Haru," he said turning, that usual grin of his on his face.
"And you know as well as I do that if I did what I was supposed to I wouldn't be Ryu, now would I? And of course if I did what I was supposed to it would also be a sign of the apocalypse, and I don't wanna do that!"
"Oh," he said, suddenly remembering the semi-concious Satoru he was holding up, "this is my friend Satoru, missing nin from the Cloud Village. He wanted to talk to you..."
This should be a fun conversation... he thought.

[Satoru]

Having been startled, Satoru jumped forward a bit and rammed his head into to door. 'Ouch!' Good thing Ryu was holding him up, otherwise he would have fallen. He winced as Ryu turn him around to face the Otokage. Catching only parts of the conversation, he rubbed his head. 'Why me?'
Noticing the conversation had turned to him, he began to speak. "You must be the Otokage. Nice to meet you. I was just wondering if you wanted to hire me for something. I'm very good at what I do. And as you can see, I kicked Ryu's ass." Satoru grinned wondering if the otokage would catch his little lie in the fact that he had tied Ryu instead of beating him.

[Haru]

Grinning at the truth in Ryu’s response Haru tried not to laugh. ’An apocalypse is something we defiantly don’t need.’ The grin and laughter soon disappeared however and turned to a blank look as Ryu introduced the missing cloud nin as his friend.
“I never did know what to make of your judgment Ryusuke, but I’m willing to here him out.” Focusing on the cloud nin Haru noticed that he looked ready to pass out on his feet, hence the reason why Ryu was almost completely holding him up.

"You must be the Otokage. Nice to meet you. I was just wondering if you wanted to hire me for something. I'm very good at what I do. And as you can see, I kicked Ryu's ass."

Studying the teen he couldn’t find anything that gave off a sense of danger, other then the normal powerful feeling that all ninja obtained once they reached a cirtion level.
“Come.” Moving around the two boys he pushed open the door. Leaving it open for them, and walked into the familiar room.
If he was going to talk with a Cloud nin it would be better to do it out of the halls.
Waiting until they closed the door behind them he crossed his arms again, an old habit, and continued to study the teen before speaking.
“I take it, from the simple fact that you are even in Oto, that you don’t know about the problems we have been having with.. your home land.” He stopped himself from looking at Ryu, whose, if he remembered correctly, most resent mission had been to track down and kill a small group of cloud nin before they could propose an alliance with the hidden rock village. “If you receive any hostility well here, know there is reason behind it and trust is not something you will find easily.” This time he did glance at Ryu, wondering what the teen had been thinking when he let the nin through the gates.

[Ryusuke]

Ryu gulped but looked back at Haru as if daring him to comment on his choice of friends.
"Haru," he said seriously, which was enough to scare anyone who knew Ryu, "you know well and good that I care about our village and would do nothing to endanger it... ever. And I seem to recall you have trusted my judgement before."
He was almost in full glare mode as he continued.
"I had a feeling that he wasn't an enemy, and took a chance on it. I will admit that it was a risky chance, but trustin my instincts has saved my life more than once. And I trust him. We sparred in the training grounds before here, and there were at least three times he coulda killed me and I couldn't have done a thing about it, but he didn't. He didn't even CUT me those times. I respect you Haru, and have looked up to you since even before my parents died. You can criticize my judgement and punish me for it all you like, but I will not regret it."
He continued to glare at Haru defiantly, all the while hoping Haru wouldn't be too angry.

[Satoru]

'Thanks Ryu I owe you one.' Satoru looked up at his friend then turned his gaze to the otokage. "He does have a point. I could've killed you at least a million times, and I'd show you my speed to prove it but," He chuckled. "I'd probably pass out." Yawning he continued. "And about you having problems with Kumo, I understand. The Raikage's a real bastard. Why do you think I left? That bastard wanted me to kidnap a little girl, a 4 year old. I refused and he called me a traitor. Now you know why I'm a missing-nin." By the end of his little rant, Satoru was pretty pissed off. A random thought then entered his head. 'Hope the Otokage's not mad at me for threatening him.'

[Haru]

Haru kept his eyes focused on Ryus as the teen spoke, a stern look on his face. It was a little strange to see Ryu serious, making him feel like the person in front of him was a whole new ninja.
Once the young Jounin had finished his little speech Satoru started up, not even giving Haru a chance to sigh at the drama that seemed to be playing out.

Raising an eyebrow at the cloud nins choice of words Haru waited for him to finish before walking over to Ryu and thwaping him on the back of the head.
“First of all, you should pay more attention to the fact that both of you look ready to fall over as soon as fight, so you should watch what you say. And secondly,” Turning his head slightly to look at Satoru a dark look filled his eyes and his lips twitched up into a smirk. “You may have something that makes you special, but just like I have no idea what that is, you have no idea what I can do.”
When he finished talking the evil look vanished and he grinned at both the teens.
“Well it looks like you boys should get some rest, and Satoru, you can stay here as long as you like but for the time being I have no missions that can’t be handled without the forces we have.”

[Ryusuke]

Ryu blinked. Haru seemed to have gone from annoyed, to angry, to just plain evil (which always seemed to frighten Ryu) then to happy and kind.
Ryu grinned and rubbed his head.
I won't ever understand you Haru, he thought.
Deciding not to push his luck anymore, Ryu gave Haru a small grin.
"Thank you Haru-sama..." he said, which was about as formal he'd EVER be. Even with the Otokage, whom he respected almost as much as he did his father.
Ryu suddenly imagined his apartement, more specifically the bed, and suddenly couldn't wait to get to sleep... and stay that way for 2 days...

[Satoru]

Satoru stared a Haru, completely confused by his changes in personality. 'I wonder if this guy's taking pills.' When he heard that he could stay, he was happy but a little disappointed at the lack of a mission. 'Oh well, take what you can get.'
"Thanks Otokage-sama." He then turned to Ryu. "I think you should drop me off at the nearest hospital." As soon as the last word left his lips, Satoru fell into the darkness of unconsciousness.

[Ryusuke]

Ryu shot a final, thankful glance at Haru as he turned and began half carrying, half dragging Satoru to the hospital.
Thank you again, Ryu thought, and left Haru's office.
