Lost in thought, reading while walking is not a good idea

[Satoru]

Satoru was walking through a forest with his nose in a book. It was not just any book, but the single greatest book ever, Come Come Paradise! He had been walking for a couple hours reading the book when he suddenly ran into a tree. 'Damn tree.' He grimaced, picking himself off of the ground. Reverently he picked up his fallen book and placed it back in his pocket. Looking around, Satoru noticed huge gates a little ways off to his left. 'Thats strange, I didn't realize I walked this far.' He shrugged. 'Might as well see where I am.' And with that he pulled the book back out of his pocket and began to read again as he walked towards the gates.

[Ryusuke]

"Hello there," Ryu said grinning, leaning against one of the gates, "travel far?"
And why is he readin... oh, it's that book... he thought, and who is this guy? He's about my age, but his forehead protector says he's a missing nin from the Cloud Village.... better be on guard, just in case.

[Satoru]

Satoru looked up from his book. There was a guy from the sound village, leaning against the gates. 'So this is the sound village, interesting.' Returning to his reading, he shrugged. "You have no idea..."

[Ryusuke]

Ryu grinned, Hmmm, I like this guy already, he thought.
"So what brings ya to Oto?" he asked.

[Satoru]

Realizing he wasn't going to get to read his book, Satoru sighed and put it away. 'And I was just getting to the good part, oh well.' Glancing behind him, he made sure no one had followed him. Life as a fugitive makes you a tad bit paranoid. Turning back to the jounin in front of him, he scratched his head. "I really don't know. After fleeing from some hunter-nin I wound up in a forest and decided to read," He shook his head. "Then I ran into a tree and found myself near here." All while talking he wished he could finish the chapter he was on, but it didn't look like that would happen. "To be perfectly honest, I'm looking for a job."

[Ryusuke]

"A job?" Ryu asked. He paused, looking thoughtful.
"I'm sure our Otokage could find somethin for you to do, if you're interested. I'm Ryu, by the by," he said grinning, holding a hand out to the other guy.

[Satoru]

Satoru shook Ryu's hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Satoru. And I hope the Otokage has some cash, cause I don't come cheap." He chuckled remembering the last guy who hadn't paid him enough. 'Bet they never found where I put the head.'
"If it wouldn't be too much trouble could you lead the way." Just then his stomach growled. Satoru grinned sheepishly. "Ummm... Could we get some food first?"

[Ryusuke]

"Whaaatever," Ryu said, turning around and beginning to walk into the village.
"I'll show you where the food is, but you're buying you're own food mister 'I don't come cheap'."
