May I just correct [4.] - you're right, it doesn't work, but the 1/0 setting means "car will make a stop / won't stop on the roads" which was meant for a taxi or bus or police or whatever etc.; the intention was creating certain groups of traffic cars that would suddenly stop

Ah, you mean "darf Recht ran fahren" ... as it was originally stated in the SLT ... I smirked when I saw that sentence.

It's jus funny because that position was described to be after the "may appear more than once or just once" position.

I don't recall it that way ... I believe they introduced this feature with Cobra 11, not WR2. (The "may appear more than once etc.")
I'm sure I'd have messed around with it if it actually appeared in WR2 traffic back in 2005 - until I'd have found out that it wouldn't work I remember I tried to connect the vehicle groups (1-8 or whatever the highest figure was) with the frequenzy of specific cars on the roads. It is my understanding that Synetic tried to implement several parameters for traffic configuration and behaviour which didn't make it into the final version, due to lack of time (deadline for the release) or performance reasons. What we found in the files were the remains ... Every software developer is doing that. In the Battlefield series (EA) an experienced coder could find valuable pieces of code or entire features (deactivated and hidden) which could easily be enabled - and fixed/polished where necessary. That was fun. Unfortunately, Synetic hasn't left this kind of hidden present in the game ... -------------------- |

Meowies, thankies for your post.
Traffic groups would have been nice, like in GTA, where only some sort of groups of traffic were allowed in certain regions of the map, and the speed changed also from countryside to cityparts etc. I think WR2 traffic is already quite good and funny to experience with, butt a bit more intelligence would be nice. -------------------- ![]() |
