Suzaku’s grin turned a little less nervous. “Even if they have no taste,” He began, finding it easier and easier to just follow Lulu without worrying about his steps, “they would still suffer the wrath of Hokuto.”
The words barely made it out of his mouth before a surprised little squawk and an incomplete curse followed them as Suzaku was turned in a circle. So much for his mindless steps; all of a sudden they didn’t matter, anymore, and Suzaku was just trying not to get his feet wrapped around each other as he spun. Belatedly, he realized simply lifting one off the floor made the spin quite a bit smoother, except that it, being belated, came too late and resulted in Suzaku stumbling back into place, clutching at Lulu’s shoulder as he counted the steps in his head to return to their rhythm.
But once his feet were in order, Suzaku was able to stand straight again, and loosened his hold hesitantly but considerably on Lulu. After a moment, he mildly massaged Lelouch’s collarbone, unaware of how strong his grip was, but sure it must have been at least a little uncomfortable. “Sorry,” He mumbled embarrassed, “my bad.”
