Character Name: Shidou Hikaru
Anime: Magic Knight Rayearth
Gender: Female
Age: 15

Bio:

Hikaru is a fifteen year old girl, with red braided hair. She is the youngest of four children, having three older brothers. Her brothers run a kendo dojo, which Hikaru has trained at. Due to all of this, Hikaru has a somewhat tomboyish and lively personality. When she doesn't eat regularly, she seems to become less energetic.

Biology is Hikaru's favorite subject in school, while singing is her most difficult. She has expressed interest in becoming a dog trainer as a profession. This is likely due to her love for animals, which is apparent in her strong affection for her own dog, Hikari, and her relationship with Mokona.

During a school trip to the Tokyo Tower, Hikaru, along with two girls from other schools, were transported to another world, called Cephiro. Hikaru, along with Ryuuzaki Umi and Hououji Fuu, traveled the strange land, learning magic, fighting sorceresses and magical beasts, and awakening the three mashin (legendary guardians). Their journey ended once they truly became Magic Knights, and fulfilled the wish of the pillar of Cephiro, Princess Emeraude.

Some time later, the three girls met at Tokyo Tower to commemorate their meeting and strange journey. It was at this time the three found themselves once again transported to Cephiro. The land, however, was not as they had left it. Neighboring countries were converging in hope of invading, and the land itself was beginning to crumble due to despair and an unseen evil force. Cephiro was without a pillar, and Hikaru was forced to deal with her guilt over the death of Princess Emeraude. Through determination and perseverance, the three girls convinced the three invading countries to help Cephiro in its time of need, and the evil, created from Hikaru's guilt, was vanquished. In the end, Hikaru's strong will qualified her to become the next pillar of Cephiro, however she turned this great power over to all citizens of Cephiro, so that they could rebuild their own world as they wished it to be.

Personality:

Hikaru possesses a strong devotion to her friends. She goes out of her way to do what she believes is the right thing, and she does all she can to protect that which she loves. Her headstrong determination, coupled with her innocent nature and child-like personality, has led her friends to do everything they can to protect her.

Sadly, after the events of the Magic Knights' first visit to Cephiro, Hikaru began to doubt herself, and question her own motivations. She became lethargic, much to the concern of her brothers. It was observed by her friend, Fuu, that "Hikaru is really strong... but never seems happy."

During her second visit to Cephiro, she wanted to know all she could about a situation, so that she knew that what she was doing was truly the right thing to do. Much of this was due to intense feelings of guilt after the death of Princess Emeraude at the hands of the Magic Knights. While Hikaru dealt with these feelings of guilt during her second visit to Cephiro, it is unlikely she will ever forget them.

Other:

In Cephiro, Hikaru possessed magic armor, a sword made from Escudo, and two magic spells. The functionality of this magic outside of Cephiro is unknown.

"Flame Arrow" (hono no yaa) - This spell begins in the form of an arrow, however once the target is hit, it appears to surround and consume the enemy.

"Ruby Lightning" (akai inakuma) - This spell is more powerful than the first. It manifests in the form of a red-hued lightning balls, which cause significant damage to unguarded targets.

RP Sample:

Hikaru sat quietly staring at the bowl of rice sitting before her. She'd been sitting this way for several minutes. There was something about the way the rice sat, the gentle slope and contour of the rice grains piled up before her. This means something, she thought to herself.

Watching from another room, one of her brothers, Kakeru, was growing concerned. Was there something wrong with the rice? No, that couldn't be it. Something must be wrong with his little Hikaru! This was awful. His adorable little Hikaru must be feeling down again, and, as an older brother, it was his duty to see to it she was happy.

Hikaru was oblivious to the plotting taking place behind her. It wasn't until her stomach began to rumble that she finally realized that she'd been staring at a bowl of rice. The rice did look a little like the floating mountain in Cephiro, but in the end, it was rice, and she was hungry. Hikaru picked up her chopsticks and began to reach for the rice, when suddenly, she felt a warm arm wrap around her from behind.

"Are you feeling alright today, Hikaru?" Kakeru asked, as he hugged his sister from behind.

Hikaru quickly turned her head to see who was there. "Kakeru! " She exclaimed, a bit surprised. "I'm fine, really," she giggled, as a smile spread across her face. "Doesn't this rice look like a mountain, though?"

Kakeru blinked and moved in a little closer to examine the rice bowl. "If Hikaru says it's a mountain, it must be a mountain. A mighty mountain of rice! Whatever will you do with your mountain of rice?"

"Eat it!" Hikaru announced.

The rice was delicious.
