Starting off, Kamui and I have noticed a bit of inactivity recently. I know that a lot of you have been studying for finals recently or have been having internet trouble, that's fine, please make sure to post soon! lol

Event!

We have been considering a new event to boost board activity, it has yet to be decided what sort of activity will take place, but I am up for ideas at the moment! Maybe some sort of spring festival will boost spirits!

Well, you know how we are with events, though, Dou. Perhaps if we made something with an actual goal? although it does seem somewhat absurd.

I like the festival Idea. The thing is, would we make it like a carnival type thing, or would it be more like a japanese festival?

A 'bit of inactivity' is an understatement. >x>;

I intend to send out PMs to our more inactive members to see what their status is and if they intend to stay or not.

As for an event, I have somewhat of a different idea in mind. I think the most effective way to generate activity would be through a game of sorts. So I've been tossing around the idea of a prompt rp.

Basically, it would start out with a list of random words (maybe 7 or so?), and all the posts that follow would have to incorporate at least one, more if you want to, of those words. The posts can be as dramatic or as cracktastic as you want, involving whoever you want, where you want, when you want. It would be really open ended and hopefully will be a good way to get people posting, as well as possibly generate new ideas for long term rps.

Fuuma thinks we should do a trial run to see how it goes and if it goes well, we could turn it into a more permanent game with a new list of prompts each week or so.

Thoughts? Opinions?

But yes. I do think a trial is in order. With an announcement so everyone knows they're free to participate.

I think it'd be good to see how it goes and how creative it gets and how much fun people have before we make it a set-in-stone event, yanno? Because if no one wants to think that hard, then it won't get very far. But if it gets really crazy and people laugh a lot, then we should totally do it all the frickin' time.

This prompt rp sounds like a good idea. I've been so busy with finals and such that I haven't been checking the board!

Sure, for a prompt rp. Sounds like fun!

I would like to be more active, but I seem to get "painted into the corner" now and then, where I can't do much until others post. Another thread with lots of stuff going on would be nice, because there would be plenty to do and events to wander off into should a character go silent for an extended period.

I know how you feel. =.= And I think we're feeling the same because of the same person. >~>

I'm thinking maybe the prompt rp might fix some of that? People can respond to as many prompts as they want as many times as they want so...if things die down, people can start something new. :x

Otherwise, do you have any ideas for a thread with lots of events?

I really don't like that. It's hard to do things on your own, and I know the Clamp Cafe is dead, even though I wanted it to flourish. I liked that rp. Still, I'm always up for new ideas if it means we can all have fun being our characters.
