A woman with rich brunette hair walked into the Calypso Hotel for the first time in her entire life. Well, actually, this was her first time ever being in any casino in Vegas. She looked around marble entry way and was in awe. This was some ritzed up place. Elliot sure had it made.

She walked up to the front desk and smiled. "Ello, I'm looking for an Elliot Archer?" she asked and suddenly got confused look. Apparently not many guests knew of the Casino's Manager by name. "Please?"

The associate furrowed her eyebrow and looked slightly concerned. "Ma'am, unfortunately Mr. Archer is indisposed at the moment, is there anything I can do to help."

"Nope, I just need to talk to him," she said as she rocked up and down on the balls of her white tennis shoes. She looked completely different than her brother. She was dressed in a vintage looking Coke-a-cola shirt and a tight pair of jeans that were sitting on her hips.

The associate nodded and called up to his office, but there was no answer. "Is there a message you would like to leave for him, miss?" she asked, but didn't seem to really care whether she did or not. She didn't want to get in trouble and whenever a guest asked for Mr. Archer that meant that someone, maybe her, might get in trouble.

"No, I just want to talk to him. I know you can get a hold of him," Lorie was sort of getting a little frustrated. She just had the strangest feeling that this front desk person just didn't want to connect her to Elliot. "Look can you just ask for him to get his skinny butt down here?"

Frankie had been just about to head back to the surveillance room after taking a short break when she noticed a brunette woman standing at the front desk and she definitely did not look happy with the associate that she was speaking with. She observed the situation for a bit since she didn't really feel like it was anything that she had to step in on yet.

She overheard the associate say that Mr. Archer was indisposed and that of course instantly intrigued her. What did this woman want with Elliot? She had never seen her before and considering the conversation they had the other day over breakfast, she was pretty sure that it wasn't a girlfriend or anything.

She snickered slightly to herself when she heard the woman say that he needed to get his "skinny butt" down there. It was definitely a rare thing to hear someone address her boss that way, though she did have to admit that the woman wasn't far off in her description which meant she obviously knew him somehow.

She made her way over to the front desk, looking stylish and professional as usual of course. "What seems to be the problem here?" she asked, still smiling a bit from the woman's comment.

Lorie turned towards the woman that had addressed her from behind and was about to start complaining when she noticed how pretty she was. "Oh! Ello, love." She smiled and tilted her head, as if going on in her own world for a moment then suddenly coming right back in.

"I was... just wanting to talk to Elliot Archer, and this cabbage won't get him for me." The brunette looked quite annoyed, but this woman that had asked what was going on had put her in slightly better spirits. "Look, I don't mean to be a bitch, but this bird won't connect me and I know he's accessible, he's the bloody manager of this place, right?"

The associate narrowed her eyes and the guest when she called her cabbage. She didn't know what being called cabbage meant, but it couldn't have been good. "Miss. Thompson I tried calling Mr. Archer, but he wasn't picking up his office phone." That really wasn't a great excuse, however, and she knew it. Elliot was very rarely in his office unless it was 2:00AM.

"Yeah, you tried once," Lorie glared. "Elliot's a daft kid, he needs to be nagged to get him to do what you want," she said with a smile. "You do know who he is, right? I mean... is he well known or what?"

Hm... this woman seemed to have an accent that was rather similar to her good friend's which just intrigued her even more about the whole thing. It meant she was either related to the man or she was a friend of his from England. There was a bit of a sense of familiarity when she looked at her though so she was leaning more towards the former.

"Actually, Mr. Archer can be very difficult to reach at times since he seems to have a problem staying in one place for too long," she replied. Sure she knew the man well enough to refer to him as Elliot, but that didn't mean that she felt comfortable doing it around guests. She almost felt bad for the associate though since she had done exactly as she should have, even if this woman did not necessarily agree with it.

"If you would at least tell me your name, I might be able to track him down for you though." She knew damn well all she had to do was send a text to the man and she would be able to reach him, but she wasn't about to do that without knowing who exactly it was trying to contact him.

"Oh!" Lorie bit her lip slightly, "Well, isn't that lovely." She turned to look at the front desk associate and glared only slightly. "See, I just need to talk to someone with a little power around here and things get done." She nodded slightly.

Sticking her hand out to the woman in the suit she smiled. "Names Lorie Archer, Elliot's my idiot older brother who doesn't call enough, and I'm his younger sister that nags him too much... well, at least that's what he says."

Lorie smiled and put her hands on her hips. "And you, love?" She said in a flirtatious tone. "Elliot never told me there were such pretty ladies working with him..." she suddenly looked down, slightly distant as she lowered her volume. "Which only makes me wonder why he isn't married yet. Do you figure he's gay?"

The second the woman introduced herself as Elliot's younger sister, Frankie took her phone out and sent her friend a text message. Of course, all it said was that there was a matter at the front desk that needed his attention. It would be far more entertaining to see the look on his face when he saw his sister. Plus, it would be nice not to be the only one who had family randomly show up. She was pretty sure at least that Elliot had no idea that his sister was here.

She had been about to introduce herself, ignoring the flirtatiousness in the young woman's voice as much as she could, but she was a bit distracted by the fact that she asked if he was gay. It took everything in her not to start laughing her ass off right then and there, though a few chuckles did make their way out. "No, I really do not think your brother is gay. I would say it has more to do with the hours we keep than anything else," she replied, deciding to leave out the fact that he had just mentioned that he wanted to get married.

"Its nice to meet you though Lorie. I'm Frankie Thompson."

"Frankie, eh?" Lorie asked as she gave the woman a one over. "Yeah, yeah he said something about a Frankie," she nodded. "Didn't think you were a woman, though... sort of why I was starting to think he liked the boys... not that that would have been a problem though, ya know."

Lorie started to ramble as she normally did, probably giving more information than she probably should have. "He did bring home one girl when he was younger..." she started to think. "He was his 'girlfriend,' but I never saw them kiss or anything," she laughed a little. "Where's my brother again?"

Elliot was in housekeeping when suddenly his PDA started to vibrate. He finished speaking with the head of the department then walked off a little to see what was up. It was a txt from Frankie, and she usually didn't contact him for something unless it was really important.

He slipped his PDA back into his slat gray slacks and straightened his pink tie and white gray and pink pin striped shirt. He walked towards the employee elevator and walked in the moment it came down to pick him up.

When he got onto the Hotel floor and straightened his hair and little and walked confidantly towards Frankie who he saw was speaking to a young woman with dark brown hair. He looked passed the young woman and at Frankie with a raised eyebrow.

"Ello, my name's Elliot Archer, I'm the Hotel and Casino Manager, is there something I can help you with?" he asked with a smile. Not yet recognizing the young woman as being his bratty little sister.

"Really?" Frankie asked, a bit surprised that he had mentioned her to his sister... though it kind of made her feel good since he had for some reason. "You aren't the first to make that mistake though and I tend to use it to my advantage. It tends to throw people off when they want to speak to Frankie, Head of Surveillance, and they get me."

She was just about to comment that she was sure that Elliot was on his way when she heard him making his way over to them. She was a bit surprised at first that he did not seem to recognize his own sister but considering it had been a bit since they had seen each other, it probably wasn't all that odd.

She contemplated calling him on it, though she decided that it would be far more entertaining to just watch things unfold. She was very curious about how Elliot would react around family. It really made her feel a lot better that someone else was having a random family member drop in on them though.

Lorie turned the moment she heard her brother's familiar voice, a huge smile formed on her face when she saw him all dressed in his best. The fact that he was wearing a pink tie was just an added bonus. "Good morning, love," She said as she jumped up and gave the much taller man a hug. The men in her family always seemed to be a good 6-7 inches taller than the women.

She twirled her hair around her finger playfully and bit her lip. She knew her brother was going to be shocked about her randomly showing up in his country, let alone his casino; and she was pretty sure he was going to be a little upset.

"Frankie and I were just discussing your sexuality, I'm pretty convinced that you like your blokes, but she's set on you being happy with the ladies. What's your take on the discussion?" Lorie loved teasing her brother. "I think your tie just proves me point," her smile was unmistakable.

When the guest turned around, his heart suddenly sank to the bottom of his stomach. This wasn't one of those family reunions where people hug and kiss each other. There wouldn't be any 'oh, it's been so long,' or 'I've missed you so muches' in this little meeting. Really, it wasn't that the two siblings didn't like each other, it was just that they were so different.

"L-l-l," he stuttered out the moment he saw her bright face staring up at him. "Lorie?" his eyebrows shot up, confused on why she would be there. He received the hug, with little energy returned, then sat in complete silence as she went on and on about his sexuality.

While she did this however he looked towards Frankie with a look of shook and 'WTF' written all over. This head of surveillance had to know who this tiny woman was to him, and why she didn't txt him the little detail of the sister part, he couldn't understand.

As Lorie continued to talk he started to point at Frankie with a glare. He wasn't incredibly angry, not by any means, just annoyed. "Oh, you, you, you, you," he said as he pointed a finger at her.

When she saw the look on Elliot's face, Frankie knew that she probably should have included who it was in her text message. She could always say that she didn't know until after she sent the text, but she wouldn't lie to him about it. She just simply shot him a look that said sorry as best as she could without actually saying it. Of course now she sort of didn't really want to stand there and watch the family reunion so she thought that perhaps she should go.

She was just about to excuse herself but figured she couldn't just leave Elliot there like that so she turned her attention to Lorie and decided to try and get the subject off of his sexuality for him. "So what brings you here?" she asked the girl partially out of curiosity and partially because it was a change of subject.

As she waited for an answer, she glanced back at Elliot and gave him yet another apologetic look. She got another look at his tie and thought about it for a second. Even if it was pink it suited him and not in the way that his sister was implying.

Lorie giggled a bit as she watched her older brother pointed annoyed at the woman before him. She covered her mouth as best she could as she tried to hide her laughter.

"Oh! That's exactly why I came to speak to you, Elliot," she turned back back forth towards both Elliot and Frankie and waved them both off slightly. "You see, I sort of walked in on Alice with another woman a few months ago and it's just put me in a funk lately at work... so..." She lead this next sentence with tiny bit of excitement. "I moved to Vegas to be with my favorite brother in the world... Now if only I could get a really great job... hmm... who do I know who has connections at restaurants..."

She looked up at her brother from beneath this eyelashes and batted them a few times. She knew convincing her brother to allow her to work for him was going to be tough, but she was always one to believe that the worst that could happen is that he could say no, and she wouldn't allow him to say no.

Elliot knew exactly where his sister was going with this, and in the middle of her little rant he immediately started to shake his head no. "No, absolutely not," he said right off the bat.

Elliot loved his sister, but never did he want to work with her. Never in a million, trillion, years would he want to work with his little sister. He looked down at her as she gave him those puppy dog sad eyes and furrowed his brow. "No!"

He turned towards Frankie and glared. "No! Tell her no, Frankie," he wined slightly. He was about to throw a mini temper tantrum if things worked out how he was about to see them work out.

Frankie flinched slightly when she heard Lorie mention that someone named Alice had been in bed with another woman. It probably could have been mistaken as being in regards to the fact that she was referring to a woman in the first place, but in actuality it was because it just hit a little too close to home. She brushed it off quickly though.

She watched as Elliot came close to throwing a temper tantrum and had to work not to smile since it was just so adorable to see a grown man whining like that. She thought about suggesting moving this but wasn't sure how he would feel about having his sister in his office so instead she simply turned to Lorie and said, "Excuse us for a second."

With that, she grabbed the sleeve of Elliot's shirt and led him a little ways away from the counter. "First, let me finish before you start arguing with me please... Second, would it really be that bad if you gave her a shot? I mean they are looking for some people in the restaurant afterall. Third, how could you possibly be willing to find my niece a job here after what happened but not even think about doing the same for your sister? Besides, you can make it a trial basis and if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out."

Elliot listened to her arguments and quickly went through his mind on what he could argue back with each point. "Ok, well, you don't know my sister that well. We're related, but that's as far as the similarities go between us."

He held out his hand to start counting on his fingers. "She's always late, she's completely unorganized, she doesn't pay bills on time, she doesn't wake up before noon, and she annoys me," he glared at her from across the little space that they had walked away.

"And when it comes to the fact that we're a little understaffed at the Moonlight Cafe... we could always close it for a couple of months, maybe do a little bit of redecorating." He knew that that suggestion was completely out of the question. The Moonlight Cafe was a great asset to the Calypso. "Please don't make me hire her, Frankie," he begged, but knew he was probably going to lose.

"I can't make you do anything Elliot," Frankie responded quickly to his last comment. It was true as far as their positions went considering the fact that he was her boss and not the other way around. "And though it may sound like a good idea to close down The Moonlight Café for a bit, you know that it really wouldn't be a good thing to do at this point."

She felt bad for him at the moment but this did not have to be a bad thing. He just simply wasn't thinking logically because it was family and that was definitely something she had a bit of experience with recently. "You say she is all of those things and I have no reason to doubt it, but again I must mention that you were willing to think about giving a girl who broke the rules when you first met her a job... how can you not look past this or are your personal feelings simply clouding your judgement?"

"Like I said, make it a trial basis. If it doesn't work out then don't keep her here but why not give it a shot? I mean other than the fact that she's your little sister of course."

Elliot thought for a moment, then sighed quite defeated. He would have to give her a shot, at least. She was family after all. "Alright," he half whined then turned and walked back towards his little sister. He glared as she continued to rock back and forth like an excited child... never mind the fact that he had the exact same mannerisms.

"Trial basis. One chance..." he said quite simply, as he raised up a single finger. "I know you have the education and the experience, so you don't have to audition or anything, but one chance. No more," he wanted to make sure that was quite clear.

Turning back towards Frankie he glared. "Happy?" he asked, as if she had actually made him do it. He knew she hadn't, but felt that that was the best way for him to feel better about the situation. Elliot loved his kid sister and he knew she was talented.

The moment her brother said she could have the job she jumped up and down, a huge smile forming on her lips. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Lorie kept repeating as she clapped quite excitedly.

She turned towards Frankie and almost tackled her in a hug. "Thank you!" Lorie almost screamed and got a little more touchy-feely. "Oh... thank you..."

Lorie pulled away and then stuck out her tongue, she had just been joking, and she hoped she understood that. Though Frankie was totally hot, and definately her type she also saw that she was Elliot's type too. Though she didn't think he knew that quite yet.

Frankie made her way back over to where Lorie was waiting when Elliot finally decided to give her a chance. As she watched the way Lorie had been rocking back and forth, she could definitely tell the two were related. His mannerisms were quite similar and often amused her so it could be rather interesting to have them both around.

She nodded slightly when Elliot asked her if she was happy. She had in no way made him do it but she would let him continue glaring at her if it made him feel better. If he really hadn't of wanted to hire her then he wouldn't have. He obviously had to know she was good before he would have agreed.

Of course, she didn't have much more time to ponder that though since she was suddenly being enveloped in a hug and that was definitely not something she was used to. The fact that Lorie's hands had started to roam a bit was a surprise as well... Not that the girl hadn't mentioned the whole liking women thing when mentioning her last girlfriend, but Frankie had just never considered the fact that she might do that.

She was very grateful when she noticed it was simply done in jest though. "I would like to add one more stipulation to that... don't ever do that again," she stated. She was smiling a little bit though which showed that she was just joking a little bit back... well not about the whole not doing it again thing. She was serious about that, though she could still see the humor in the situation.
