New Arrivals, a.k.a Fresh Meat

[Michiyo]

"Emmett~~" Miri yelled with a flying hug, locking his arms around his friend.
Laughingly, Emmett shrugged him off, "Is it time already?"
"You bet it is! Come on, come on, everyone else is already ready, we can't be late."
"Of course we can, it's a picnic, not exactly a timed event."
Miri frowned, "Just come on!"
More laughter, "I'm coming, I'm coming."
By the time they got over to the entrance of the school, the others were already ready.
Jeren looked slightly amused, "It's your fault I'm here, you could at least not keep us waiting."
Rishi had a far more negative reaction, "God, you two took freaking long enough. Let's just get this over with, already."
Ly was sitting next to the picnic basket, a very, very large picnic basket, and offered no comment.
"We're all here now, aren't we? Time to head out!" Miri exclaimed happily, grabbing the oversized picnic basket with his surprisingly considerable arm strength, gained from hours spent toting around and using heavy equiptment.

[Aria]

Tamara stood a little farther ahead of the groop. "About time you got here!" She called. Grabbing the hand of her 'adopted daughter' Mao, also known as the young protogy of the school. "Come on Mao! Time to go on a picnick!" She stated happily. Pushing the young kid in front of her. Mao of course trying desperatly to get free using many different cus words and trying to fight against it. "Now Now Mao! We're going to have fun!" She said. Not alowing her grip to loosen on the young girls shoulders at all.

Emmett spared a look of pity for Mao, who was never going to escape, before turning to follow Miri.
By now Miri had already gotten a good bit ahead in his excitement, and was already beginning to chatter about the great spot he'd found.

It took a bit longer than expected though to find this 'great spot' of his, much to the frsutration of everyone. ("No, it's over here, really, I swear!")
When they got there though, they had to agree, even if it was grudgingly, that Miri had found a perfect spot for a picnic.
It was comfortably large, but somewhat secluded by the surrounding trees that still let plenty of light fall on the clearing, and provided nice shade. A light breeze that rippled around them and made the slightly long grass sway around their ankles added to the effect.
Not terribly surprisingly, Emmett was the first to break the silence with a whistle that mirrored what they all had been thinking. Miri broke in only a moment afterwards with a, "See, didn't I tell you I'd found the greatest picnic spot?"
"Tch, it's alright, let's just get the foood out though, I'm hungry." Rishi would be the last to admit that he also thought the spot couldn't get any better.
At the slight growl of his stomach, Miri grinned a bit sheepishly, "Yeah, you're right. Food first. Anyways, you can't complain since I was the one who carried the basket the whole ways." At that though, he proceeded to fish out everyone's food as they wandered around to find the most comfortable spots.
"I wasn't complaining." Rishi corrected, before grabbing his food and sitting off with his back resting against a tree trunk.

[Aria]

Tmara was absolutely extatic at this point in time. "It's beautiful!" She thought aload. Even Mao had a slight glint in her eye showing that she aproved. Quickily she took her food and laid down in the grass. Just happy that Tamara had let go of her for once.

When Tamara had finished eating she still didn't want to leave. "Why don't we explore this place for a bit!" She sugjested. "I mean, it's really quite lovely here and all and it would just be such a shame to not enjoy it longer. Don't you agrea Emmett?" She knew how to get what she wanted. She went straight to the one person who controlled just about everyones thoughts. If she could convince him nobudy could really refuse.

Without hesitation, Emmett agreed. This brought a groan from Rishi and a sigh from Jeren, who had immediately come to the same conclusion. They had both known Emmett for a long time, after all.
"Come on everyone, off your asses!" Miri yelled, as he had immediately taken to the idea of exploring his wonderful spot further.
"You idiots go. It'll be quieter when you're gone." Rishi said, making no move to get up.
Miri frowned at him, "You're lucky I don't want you around to kill the mood."
He cheered up quickly though, and turned to Ly, "Come on, Ly!"
Ly, who had taken to a shady spot, looked up and shook his head.
"Aw, you don't want to go either! Oh well, I suppose I won't force you."
"But you wouldn't have any problem with forcing me." Rishi couldn't help but mutter under his breath, before closing his eyes to visibly ignore them to a fuller extent.
Emmett looked around and took tally, "Alright, so Miri, Tamara, Mao, Jeren, and I are going to explore. Ly and Rishi will stay here to watch the picnic basket, and clean up."
"Who said anything about cleaning up!?" Rishi demanded, proving that he had actually been listening.
This was met with a particularly nasty look from Emmett, the sort that was evil but made falsy sweet looking on the surface, "I believe I just did, since you refuse to come with us." then his expression really did turn sweet when he saw Ly looking a bit scared, "But you don't have to, if you don't want to Ly. Bye!"
He couldn't help but smile when he turned around and heard Rishi mutter under his breath again, this time, "Oh yeah, yet he's so nice to Ly."
The lack of venom in the statement only showed how scary Emmett could be.

Even Jeren spared him a pat on the shoulder, "That's what you get for being too obnoxious. Sorry you had to learn the hard way."

Tamara beamed. Knowing verry well that she had most definetly gotten it her way. She helped (slightly forced) Mao to get up and led her through the brush. "We'll check out over here~!" She called back to the boys. "Come on now Mao." She trudged through thew bushes although it wasn't far before her phone rang.
"Hello?" She asked. There had been no ID number witch said that it was someone from her school.
No reply.
"Hello...?"
Still nothing. Tamara smiled to herself with understanding.
"Don't worry Raisa. We'll be home long before we could posably need an escape artist like yourself. I don't want to have you worry. Kisses! Bye~!" She hung up the phone. Of course it was Raisa, she'd probubly take any excuse to drive her car around.

Miri had already taken to bounding ahead to be the first to see every new sight, then rushing back to hurry the others along to whatever he'd just found.

So when he came dashing back at full speed Emmett wasn't particularly surprised at first, until he saw that his friend's look of happiness had been replaced by one of fear.
"You guys, quick, come one!" he began to tug on Emmett's arm in the direction he'd come from.
"Calm down, Miri. What's wrong?" Emmett asked, concerned by this point.
At the question, Miri jumped into a rapid explanation, almost too fast to understand, "Well, I was just looking ahead like I have been, and then I stepped on something, because I saw this really pretty flower that was up in a tree and I wasn't looking down, but anyways, well I looked to see what I had stepped on, 'cause it was really soft, and it was an arm!" even now he paused enough to let that sink in before continuing, "I was really freaked out, and I looked closer and the rest of the person was there too! It was this guy, he was pretty good looking, maybe a bit older than us, but anyways, he was bleeding a lot, and I think he might be dead, so come quick!" he resumed tugging on Emmett's arm, but this time it wasn't necessary, as they had all started as quick as they could for the spot Miri was talking about.

Sure enough, when they got there they could all see the body of a boy who was a covered only slightly by a large bush.
And sure enough, he was bloody. Most of the blood was dry though, which wasn't exactly a good sign.
Emmett immediately stooped over next to him, and checked his neck for a pulse, and for any sign of breathing while Jeren stood by looking surprisingly fidgety, and Miri was hovering close, more in the way than anything else.
After a tense second or two, Emmett looked up, looking no less worried. "He's still breathing, but barely. I know you're not supposed to move injured people, but let's try to get him back to the picnic spot. Rishi's better at this stuff than me."

[Aria]

Tamara froze at the sound of rustling in the bushes around her, only to relax at the sound of the guys voices. This state of relaxation was short lived though at the panic that she had cought onto. Imideatly she grabbed Mao's hand and ran towards the voices. She froze imideatly at the site. Emmett was leaning over a bloody corpse and saying something about barley breathing. Imideatly she took control of her astonishment and lept into action. "Mao! You go over with Jeren! Don't leave his side understand." She ran up to the boy and slung his arm over her shoulders. "Emmett! Take his other arm! We don't have time to be cautious right now." She began to lift the body up. Rather expertally actually, and began to stumble forward under the weight. "Damn! How much does this guy weigh!?!?!"

Mao smirked. "I really don't see what the big deal is." She stated in a flat tone mostly to herself then anyone else in particular. "So the guys dying, what's the point. People die everyday, especially around here." She rolled her eyes in a bored manner. "I'm going back to the camp site now..." With that she turned around and slunk off into the bushes. Luckily unnoticed by Tamara or real drama would start to act up in no time at all.

As soon as Emmett lifted him up by the arms, he had to agree. This guy was awful heavy, and certainly not making the job any easier.
Jeren had simply allowed himself to be positioned however was convenient, and couldn't help but secretly agree with Mao as she slunk off.
It didn't matter what his personal feelings on the subject were though, because he would have hell on his hands if this guy went and died on Emmett.
They looked like thye were managing carrying him well enough, even if there were grunts if the other slacked up a bit, so he went about clearing the way as best he could while Miri clung onto his arm for nothing better to do with himself.

With a path as clear as it was going to get without help from construction equiptment and Jeren there to make sure that neither of them stumbled, they made good progress and made it into the clearing faster than they had left it, setting him down as carefully as they could manage on a soft looking spot.
Roused from resting idly by the rukus, Rishi got up and walked over to them, barely having time to register his surprise at their finding before he was beset by Emmett.
"Rishi! We found this guy out in the woods, he's was still breathing when we found him, but you're the best medic so we brought him back here to you, so help him!" he sumed up their experience quickly, not stopping as he was pushed away by Rishi with a rough, "Get away!"
He proceeded to clear away the others, and kneel by the guy. Geez, what a mess. A quick test told him that the guy was in fact still breathing, but barely. Further inspection revealed that the cause was several very uneven head wounds, which he relayed to the waiting crowd.
In the back of his mind, Jeren, who had shaken off Miri once they got back, remembered that this pattern was like that of when someone is beaten with a chain.
At this point, Rishi began barking out orders to whoever was closest, calling on all the decent bit he knew about treating injuries.

[Aria]

Tamara filled out the orders without a seconds hesitation. Putting in her own two cents about medicine as well, whatever the heck that was.

Mao smirked contentedly. "Looks like I'm no longer her only 'child'." She stated with a satisfied, I win, tone. "Maby I do have a reason to let the guy live after all...He may just prove to be helpfull." She grabbed a watter bottle and a napkin and proceeded to clean the wonds slightly. This, much to her dismay and annoyance, resulted in a high pitched squeel of joy from Tamara.

After a little while of this Tamara seemed to grow rather angry. "Damn it! I shouldn't have told Raisa no!" This was more so said to herself but she didn't mind in the least if someone else overheard. It could basically be spoken for itself what she ment anyways just by mentioning the name.

After a bit they had his head bandaged up in a makeshift fashion with the bleeding pretty much stop, so Rishi checked for other injuries.
What he found brought a new frown to replace the one that had momentarily faded away because of their success with getting his head in a slightly better condition. "Well, other than the head wounds there's a nasty swollen bump on the back, which needs ice. Other than that, he's banged up, looks like someone kicked him in the knee, I don't know if he'll be able to walk even if it heals, and it's swollen. Emmett, knife."
Emmett, who had been waiting for further instruction right next to him, produced a knife from seemingly nowhere and handed it to Rishi with a surprising lack of the flourish he ususally used.
Taking the knife, Rishi proceeded to cut off the pants leg above the knee, revealing a nasty sight. It was definately hugely swollen, and the skin had broken in various places too, and was producing pus. The entire area was a rather nasty color, one huge bruise.
"Damnit," Rishi swore, "It's even worse than I had expected it to be. Whatever. Someone get some more cool cloths, or ice. Also, he has at least one broken rib." Here he pulled up the shirt he was wearing to reveal the nasty bruising around the ribs.
"Oh, is that all?" Emmett asked, handing him a newly wet cloth.
"No. He might have brain damage, he could be in a coma, any of his wounds can get infected if they aren't already, and there's a good chance he's about to die. Happy?"

[Aria]

Tamara gasped in fear. "Oh you poor baby!" She cooned like that of a worried mother in a hospital. "We simply must get him somewhere safer right now! You never know when other school mates might show up and at the moment we couldn't really stop them much!" She got up as if suddenly determined and fwipped out her cell phone. She hovered over a number for a second then sighed. "I don't want to worry her after I told her not to..." She mentally scolded herself for telling Raisa that her skills weren't needed. "Emmett, who do you supose I should call? I don't want to bother Raisa after I already told her not to worry. Chances are she's half way through a flower arangment or drawing right now and I don't want to pull her away from that..." She thought for a moment and sighed. "I guess anyone would really do right now..."

[Michiyo]

Even Emmett had to frown at her over that, though it could just be that he was worried, and less patient than usual. "This is honestly more important than Raisa's hobbies, as beautiful as they are, and she could get here the fastest. Anyone who is competent and can get here quickly with supplies and transportation will do though, just get on it, or stop worrying and help."
Meanwhile, Rishi was urging Emmett to get back over here this second, so he complied without waiting for her reply, figuring she could just tell him anyways if it was important.
"You're obviously the best with knives, so take one and cut the picnic blanket into long strips. Average thickness, even you should know about how long."
On any other occaison, Emmett would have responded with something like "Yessir" or "Alright, captain" to tick him off, but at the moment he didn't truly feel like it, and set to work immediately, his practiced skill showing quite clearly as he cut into the cheap material without a movement wasted.

[Aria]

Tamara waited for a heartbeat loinger before calling up Raisa.
"..."
"Honny! Baby! I know I told you not to hury but we could desperatly use your skills right now! We need medical care prontoe and everyone knows you are the best with these things...I'm so sorry if I'm disturbing you..." She spoke quickily and to the point. When all that was on the other end of the line sudenly became a dial tome she knew that she had chosen the right person to call.
Mao smirked. This was getting slightly interesting for once! She was actually semipleased that she had come.

After aproximetly five minutes, most of witch spent trying to find the place, Raisa pulled into the clearing in a horozontal motion. Stopping inches away from the picknick basket. She had brought her minivan for once for the amount of room that it gave. Stepping out of the car she pressed a button and all of the doors opened. Giving everyone the quick one twoo look over she got back in to tell them to get in as well.

When she expertly skidded in, they had almost managed to bind up the knee like they had the head, and secure and icepack to it.
Rishi stood up immediately, stretching to relieve the slight tension he knew was building up in his back and neck from kneeling over and craning his neck for the period of time he had.
They quickly packed up, first by sending the smaller people and those of no real or particular use, aka Mao, Ly, and Miri, to the back, with Emmett, Jeren, and Rishi in the middle with the boy lying across their laps, and the two other girls in the front.

Since he couldn't do anything else at the moment other than try to get him to drink something, Emmett sighed and brushed the hair out of the boy's face, since he had purposely gotten in first so the head would be lying on his lap.
Rishi had gotten in last so he could finish the work on the knee, and snapped irritably at Raisa to make sure that she was careful as she drove.
This of course left Jeren in the middle, with nothing to do other than try not to move so he disturbed neither the boy's broken rib or Emmett's head, which had managed to find a presumably comfortable spot on his shoulder to rest on with an almost inaudible sigh.
