Reunions, The Lives of Emmett and Hae

"What an interesting place!" Emmett declared happily to himself, reading over a small map of the city that he had purchased from a stand, while at the same time admiring the sidewalk that glistened in the mild sunlight. Although he had bee rather hesitant about coming here in the first place, but eventually tales of the city's grandeur had one him over, and he had to admit that even though he had only just entered the city, that the tales didn't nearly do it justice.
Not only was general look of the place outstanding, but if half this map were to be believed, and he was quite sure that it wa as accurate a map as he would find, then there were lots of places to go see. Yes, this was definately somewhere that he could spend some time in.
He decided to get the less fun things out of the way first. If he wanted to stay here for any length of time, he'd need to book into an inn somewhere, a place like this had to have some of them, and then he'd need to look into a place to work for a few days, part-time. So far, he'd always managed to find some odd job or two to put a bit more money in his pocket, keeping him constantly in the clear as far as money concerns went.
Shouldering his bag, which contained only some basic things like other clothes, his money, and some personal items, he set off, glancing at his map every so often to make sure he was going on the right track.

[Aria]

Hae sat on a bench in the middle of town. Her freinds surownding her. Whispering things like, "It'll be ok" and "Only you could be so strong". In her lap was a small photo of her father whitch she cradelled delacatly. A few tears streaming finding their way down her cheeks. It had been only an hour scence she had gotten home to find him lying on the floor. Less then thirty minets for her to discover that he had had a heart-attack, and that it was to late.
She sat in front of the main inn in town where her grandmother lived. As well as many of her freinds. Hae had discovered that her grandmother was out now but on her way home, and her friends had already heard the news. Silently she wept at it all. Her only 'home' she had ever had, now ruined with sadness.

It took a little while, but finally Emmett managed to find the Inn, or at least an Inn. Strolling inside, he wasted no time in getting one of their cheapest rooms for himself, he liked to save his money so that he could blow it on something more interesting later.
As he walked out, quite cheerful, he noticed the little group outside, and watched them out of one eye, wondering what the fuss was all about. As soon as he saw the girl in the thick of it though, he knew exactly who it was. It couldn't be anyone else. Not even four years could change his twin sister enough so that he couldn't recognize her.
At first he wondered if he should really talk to her. She was always such a bore, that it might not be worth it. But, for Allison's sake, he really ought to check up on her. She certainly didn't seem too good. He could barely remember the last time when he saw Hae cry.
Although she was surrounded by people, her friends he guessed he tapped one softly on the shoulder, and when she turned around he asked, "May I get through please?" coupled with a soft smile. She nodded, and moved aside for him.
Something must have happened, and he didn't really want to immediently start off on the wrong foot, if that was possible with Hae, so he used a kinder tone than he usually did with her.

"Hey, Hae, It's been awhile. Do you still remember me?"

[Aria]

Hae looked up with a start. She knew that voice, but she hadn't heard it in over four years now. Imeadiatly she recognized Emmett. Great. She thought. As iIf my life wasn't bad enoph right now I'm being visited by one of those I detest most in this world. Quickly she whiped away her tears. She at least would NOT let her see him like this. "Oh...hello Emmett. What are you doing here?" She asked stubornly quickly adding. "Now of all times..." Even with this atempt the quiver was hard to miss.
"Come on..." Siad the freind that had let him in. "He can't be all that bad can he? He seems nice enoph to me..." She returned the soft smile that he had given to hir. Slightly blushing a bit.
"Zip it Zoey...unless your suddenly for gay people." Hae quickly turned her atention back to Emmett. He looks just like dad! That was all it took. She treid desprately to keep a straight face but it was all in vain. Her lower lip began to quiver fighting back the tears before she exploaded. She dropped the picture onto her lap and began to cry. Grabbing onto her arms as if hugging herself and trying to be comphorted.
The freind who was aparently named Zoey spoke up first. Still not realizing that the one she was talking to was the detested twin brother that was practically taboo with her freind.
"You must excuse Hae. She's going through some hard times. You see...just earlier today...about an hour ago...she lost her father..." Zoey looked down from saddness but really it was to avoid Hae's glare. Luckily for her Hae had not heard.

"I'm just passing through." he replied, and was about to both thank Zoey for the compliment, and chide Hae about how she shouldn't associate homosexuality with such undesirable traits, even though he knew from experience that she would simply ignore him like she always did, or something to that same general effect, when she began to cry again. He took a step back, a look of utter surprise or shock on his face, the fact that Hae would begin to cry in front of him of all people taking him completely by surprise. He managed to regain his composure as Zoey began to speak.
"Hmm, so that guy is dead?" his expression, which before had been lighter, turned a good deal more serious at the mention of their father. "Convenient that I was passing through then. Otherwise I would have had to assume that he was alive." he took anothe rlook at Hae, who was still crying, "Pity she's taking it so hard. I'd try to comfort her, but why add insult to the injury?" he shrugged here, thinking 'She should have remembered that that guy always leaves before he should.' he knew better than to voice this particular thought outloud. He may not get along with Hae, but that didn't mean that he strove to make her bad days worse.
Despite the fact that he had just been told that their father had died, he still had a lighter tone to his voice, and although his expression was still serious, compared to what it usually was, it didn't show even the slightest sign of sadness.

[Aria]

Hae noticed this and grew angry. "You could at least pretend to be sad you know! You ungreatful girl! He was your father to you know!"
Zoey was probubly the most surprised at this. She blinked and turned to look at Emmett. So HE'S the insignifacant twin? She suddenly felt verry ashamed of herself.
Hae had stopped crying now and was only frusterated. After all, he had been just the person she wanted to see, but at the same time the last person in the world that she wanted to associate with. Her face grew stern as she made up her mind and abruptly she stood up. "Emmett..." She hated herself for saying this. "This is the hardest thing for me to ever say but...please...Emmett...take me home. I havent been there in so long I don't know where it is any more. And I've so longed to see Allison..." Her eyes grew softer at the name. "Please Emmett...please take me to see them...mom, Allison, and every one else..." She had choked down her pride. Knowing verry well that the regret for this would start no matter what his answer. But it had to be done. Not only for her or Allison, but for dad. His last wish that their family could somehow become one again.

[Michiyo]

"Why would I do that? I'm not sad, and I have no reason to be. Nor do I have more than the slightest reason to be grateful to him. And calling me a girl is your tactic now? You must really taken off guard, since that's such a lame line. And don't call that guy my father. It really ticks me off." Because of the subject, his expression had grown even stonier, and his voice had turned solemn as well.
He blinked at her request, taking a few seconds to process what she was saying exactly, and how much she had to hate saying it. "You don't even remember where your own home is?" he had to say that, before giving her a straight answer, "Fine, sure. I'll take you there. I was planning to wait more than this to go visit, but I'll still take you there anyways. For Allison, not you, for the record." That was entirely true. He knew that the trip there would be hell of a pain, and he wasn't looking forward to it, but the smiles on everyone's faces would have t be enough to make up for it. And the fun that could be had at their old homecity.
"But first," he continued, "I'm doing some sight-seeing. I didn't come all the way to Ishiki just to pick you up and escort you back home. I was going to find a job, but I suppose that won't be necessary now. I've already got a room though, and I'm not going to waste it. This is one interesting place, so I'm going to make the most of my time here. A couple days should serve me well, then you find me, I'm staying at this Inn here, and we'll head off. Got that?" What a shame, he had really been hoping to relax in such an interesting place for awhile, but a few days would just have to do.

[Aria]

Hae surprising smiled at this. One less thing to worry about. Maby if she smiled it wouldn't be so bad either. Not to mention she had a few days to prepare and hate herself. Her fathers funeral was tomaroe so it would have to work. "All right." She simply stated and turned to walk away. Then she paused. "Even if you don't want to admit it he is your father as well. I don't plan on seeing you but if you can venture to be kind enoph to him to go to his funeral it is tomaroe at the graveyard just outside of town." With that she walked away. All of her freinds following her exsept Zoey. Who hesitated a moment looking sadly back-and-forth between the grownd, Hae, and Emmett before running off to join her freinds.

OOC-if you didn't catch that i think Zoey rather liked Emmett.

"That works for me." he decided that he wasn't going to the graveyard for the funeral. He didn't feel any strong connections to him, and he couldn't bring himself to feel sad. It would be more of an insult than anything else if he attended. So it was a good thing she knew him at least well enough to not plan on his attendance, otherwise she would be awfully disappointed.
He gave the girl, Zoey if he had been listening properly, a quizzical look, before realizing that she probably had thought that his politeness towards her meant that he held some sort of romantic affection for her. He would admit that she was definately rather pretty, but so far he had never met a girl interesting enough to catch his attention, and he was glad when she turned and left to go with her friends. That was definately for the best. She wouldn't look nearly as pretty disappointed.

He slowly turned on his heel, and looking back down towrds thhe map that he had just unfolded again, decided where he planned on heading first.

Yes, I noticed. Poor girl, she just doesn't seem to be interesting enough for him to overlook the fact that he doesn't go for girls.xD

After about a week, the most time that Hae could avoid the joirney, Hae went off to find her brother at the inn. They hadn't met up the entire week whitch was a great releif but it was time to go now. She had asked the inn keeper to send him down and was now impatiently waighting for him in the front entery room. What is taking him so long? She wondered quite annoyed. I've been waiting for at least ten minutes now! Grumbling under her breath she looked up at the clock. Five minutes to ten. Where could he be at this time?

It sounded like he would be doing something perverted wherever he is, just from the way you worded it, and my own very twisted mind.xD He wasn't though, unless you really wanted him to be. And of course you're doing it. It was your turn to actually write in the story.

Finally Emmett arrived, looking about as grumpy as Hae did. "You sure waited long enough. I'm not complaining about the extra time, I've been having lots of fun, but if you were going to wait this long then you should have told me. I lost a few days of good work because of your inconsideration." he sighed to puncutate his point. "Anyways, I ned to go get my things, and I'll assume that you're ready to go. When I get back we'll set some basic rules for this trip." although setting rules typically caused a negative reaction from the other person, sometimes it was necessary, such as now.

[Aria]

Hae simply rolled her eyes at his remarks. He could have been packing in those ten minutes that she had waighted, but none the less she stayed where she was until he came back down with his belongings. The bag with hers resting by her feet.

[Michiyo]

He was back in just a very few minutes with everything he had come with, and a few odd trinkets for those waiting back home in his bag, slung over one shoulder as usual.
"Let's see." he said, already starting on those rules he had mentioned, "One major thing is that you better have enough money to support yourself on the way there. I'm almost positive that you do, and I don't want to have to spend my money on you. Also, I don't want to here about that guy, nor do I want to here any gay jokes, or girl jokes directed at me. That's all that immediently comes to mind. Anything you want to add?" he knew that there would most likely want to be some things that she'd want to add, so he beat her to one thing that she might have thought of, "And let me have my fun, even when my fun involves someone else."
