Solitude Of A Snow-covered World, [Open]

A solid thump could be heard every time his leg hit the wide wooden pole, around the same thickness as a large tree stump and taller than its attacker, in another well-aimed kick. He grunted slightly as his last kick hit on an old bruise that was almost finished with the healing stages.
"That's enough for now." he spoke aloud even though their was no one listening, and walked back to the edges of the coutyard, his feet cruching on the thin layer of snow on the ground. The same powdery snow could be seen clinging to his ponytail, shoulders, and sleeves, though he made no move to brush it away. Letting the snow melt where it had fallen was easier, and helped him cool down a little after training.

Sitting down on the stone steps that led up to the rest of the Temple, Gareth grabbed his water canteen and took a long drink, letting small trickles run down the sides of his mouth. With a contented sigh, he wiped the remnants of water from his face, and stood back up, this time turning his back on the white-blanketed courtyard and heading up the five stone steps to the rest of the Temple.
By the time he was inside the temple a few seconds later, most of the snow had melted from his hair, making it glisten slightly in the light that came through the windows of the building as he made his way through the long cooridor until he reached his destined room, which turned out to be a small storage room where various bamboo sticks were held.

He tested of a few of them in his hand before settle on a long, willowy stick, and heading back out to the courtyard. More snow fell on him as he began to use his practice sword, with the same stout wooden pole as his target. If you were to look closely at his target, you would see that it has been well worn, and is as old as the surrounding temple that it sits in the direct center of.
With a final blow to his 'opponent' his pole snapped cleanly in half. Picking up the two pieces, and chucking them to one side, going through a mental list what all he had to do that day.

In a blaze of fire around his feet, the fair skinned Teko walked out of the blaze, The snow around him melted. He looked up to see a temple, A nice place to rest for the night... When the snow was melted at least. He walked inside, Looking around for a while, hearing then a -Snap- Instantly his hands were ablaze, As he Navigated his way toward the sound, inching closer, silencing his flames. He took a peek around the corner, seeing a Tall...Demon. He couldnt silence his small gasp, seeing the person. If the creature was anywhere Half good at hearing, he would be discovered.

At the sound, Gareth's head whipped towards the entrance, his mental list forgotten entirely. All that was on his mind now was that there was an intruder, and wondering who it was. Judging by the noise they had made, and that they came to the temple in the first place, this was obviously not someone who knew at all where they were.
If it had been someone looking to steal from the temple, they wouldn't have gone to the courtyard.
It could be either an explorer or adventurer, but he had scared all of them away quite a long time ago. At least that is what he assumed happened when they stopped coming.
And it was obviously not a challenger, as no challenger would have behaved in this manner, unless they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. And he wasn't a good opponent for beginners.

But still, it could be a minor threat of sorts, or someone who at least would need to be dealt with, now that they had found his temple. It wasn't a kind system by any means, but it was the only one he knew how to effeciently use.
He strode over to the intruder, standing tall in a very dignified pose that said that this was his turf, "Who are you, and what is your business here?" he asked, using a commanding tone more by a combination of default and convenience.

Thoughts raced through his head. Human.. Lauange... I..?.. Got it.
In an non accented voice, He said only "I am Teko. Spirit of Fire. I Came to your world to find the Rouge on the planet. The one from our race, on this planet." He clarified. "He is called The Demon Of Ice On this planet. He seeked refuge here, at the top of your planet. I am searching for him, Looking for shelter this night, and in my search of any place with excessive amounts of Ice, I came here. May i find refuge here?" He finished. Human Lauange was easy. He had already learned this lauange, Japanese, And Greek.

Gareth was taking slightly by surprise at this. He had much more expected a quick apology about having stumbled upon this place after getting lost, and being from the nearby village. He considered this, then decided that this could be a respectable person, since as of now he had been given no reason to not believe his story. He had seen and heard of plenty of strange things that this didn't come as too much of a shock.
"Yes, you may. On the condition that word of this temple is not to reach the ears of anyone outside of here. I am Gareth." he added in his introduction really only as a last minute thought.
He had not given an introduction in so long, he had only remembered that it was polite to at the last minute. Even before he had secluded himself here, introductions were only given as a formality in Duels, for his clan had all known each other's names.

He stepped back into the courtyard, saying, "If you really are looking for large amounts of ice, this is about as good a place as you will find. There are few other spots that contain this much snow, and next to none that retain it all year long. I have not seen any strange ice formations in my rounds though, and none in unusual places either." he thought back to his last thorough trip through the woods, which had been a few days ago. Yes, there had definately been nothing out of the ordinary.

Teko appeared About 3 inches away from Gareth, infront of him, Blinked, and asked "So, Are you lonely? Out here by yourself, training so much With little to noone to fight?" He expected Garteh to preverbally Open a can Of Whoop A** At his mind bieng read, but he stayed calm, and Exclaimed "It seems like you know this area.. This world well. Am i correct?" He winced at the thought of Him Hearing weird stories.. He was from across Dimensions, yet this Demon Knew his One World so well. Teko could not say the same about himself... His world bieng about 8000 Times Bigger then this one, the cities alone Streaching from the leangth of here to the other side of the equator for this world.

Gareth. A rather odd name, Even for a demon. Bringing up more questions, Teko asked "What kind of demon.. Are you?" Still curious about the many races of this planet. Then another question "And where is your family. As you state it, your "Clan"." He hovered slightly in the air in Delight. He was starting to acquire emotions now.

"Is that some form of teleportation? Interesting skill." he considered this talent for a moment before he got to the answering the actual questions.
"No, I am not lonely." he made 'lonely' sound like an extremely pitiful word, as though he has been asked if he wereweak, or something similar. "I fight intruders if they come along and I deem them to be a threat. I have lived here for quite a while, and I know the vast majority of the woodland quite well. So yes, you are correct." he watched Teko hover, wondering just how many odd abilities this newcomer had.
"I am a Dragon Demon. And my clan is dead. At least all of it that I know of. That is, anyone of any amount of blood." he spoke with exceptionally little amount of emotion in his voice, stating it as another regular fact. There may have been a slight twinge of mingled pride and regret in there, but it could have just as easily could have been the wind.

Teko Stared for a moment. "You do close to nothing here.... Exept train your body Little by little, to protect... This temple? Why are you bound to such... things?" He asked quickly, then looked around, asking finally "Your Daily routine must get boring eventually... Does it not? It seems like such a Dull life. Out here in solitude, missing many of your world's Glory's. Such as Love, Happiness. I am here For a purpose. So you must be here for a reson too. What would that be?" He finished, His eyes Shining less and less, Possibilly getting Duller. What an Odd Demon. A Dragon Hybrid. The last one in existiance, as far intell as there is. Yet he lives in solitary not even seeking revenge.

Gareth nearly scoffed at the notion of his existence here being dull or boring, which made it sound rather unrewarding at the same time. "I'm not bound to the temple itself, though I enjoy this place very much. I protect it to protect my training. On occaison it may seem monotonous, but I am often rewarded with the results. I don't need the world's glories. I make my own. I get all the happiness I could want when I teach myself something new, and test it in a Duel. My reason for staying here is that I will become as strong as a full-blood Dragon Demon. When the time comes, I will leave, and prove this, but for now, I must simply train so that I can be ready for that day." he wasn't sure exactly why he was answering all of these questions honestly.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he had asked these questions of himself before, and had given himself the same exact answers.

"This Demon of Ice that you said you were after, how strong is he? He must be a decent threat for them to be sending someone to a different planet just to track him down." he decided to ask a question of his own, since he was curious. For all he knew though, this could be a standard procedure for their race. It didn't really sound like it though.

Teko Scoffed. "He's Only Number Two on the Galaxy's Most Wanted List. A bounty so big, My family would be set for Life for over 50 Generations. An Adequate Foe for you, Is it not? Are you thinking of accompanying me on my journey? We could train on the way, As much as we could Here, With the exercise of Search." Teko looked Down at himself. Exitement wasnt something he Thought He would Use. Yet already, the earth had suprised him. What was next...? "Your Life is yours, and i guess that is your life. But, come with me, and youll face a threat greater then anyone youve faced before." He finished.

"Number two in the Galaxy's Most Wanted List? Pretty impressive. The idea hadn't occured to me. The idea of going with you to search for this person, that is." although he knew it was obvious what he meant, he wanted to say it out loud just to make sure he liked the thought as much when he spoke it as when he thought it. He did. "After so long, it will be a shame to be leaving this temple unprotected, but it would be unhonourable of me to pass up a quest as beneficial for both of us as this over something so trivial. I have faced very big threats before, so we shall wait and see if this person of yours can live up to my expectations when we track him down." he finished, managing to say yes without ever literally accepting the invitation.

Despite the fact that he knew it was silly, he had already begun to imagine what sort of powers this knew foe would have, and to what degree. It was a shame that he had never learned much about demons outside of his own race. Beyond basic abilities, he knew next to nothing about them, and figured that he could count out most of what he already knew considering that this Demon of Ice certainly didn't sound like any sort of demon that normally existed here.

Teko smiled, Took it as a yes, and said "Well then... I may need to rest here for a little bit." He sat down, and closed his eyes. Around Two minutes later, He opened them again, Yawned, and Said "Allright lets go. Im not bound to earthy bodies like yours, so i dont need to rest for as many things." He explained, hoping it would Kill out any questions that surfaced. He looked up, and said "It wont exactly be Cake to get there. From what i hear, He already has 5 Minions.. For then 5 senses of your planet. Dont expect any peace or--"

"QuIeT..." The voice came out of nowhere, Shrill and Damaging to the ears. It came again, No more bearable, finishing its own sentense "Is NoT iN mY dIcTiOnArY"
A figure appeared infront of them, a Psycho-Freak Kind of smile on the creature's face. "So.. YoU kNoW aBoUt uS?..." He said, finishing "I hEaR aLl. I hAvE bEeN SuRvEyInG tHe SpIrIt FoR sOmE tImE nOw." He appeared to not hear himself speak, for he'd be dead by now. He adjusted a thing on his neck, His voice becoming normal again. "Id say Sorry. But i Don't Care!" This was echoed by a shrill laugh.

Instantly teko was behind him, A hand on his Garments, Saying "Burn." As the creature instantly burst into flame, Followed by a Strange Lift, as Teko threw him up into the air, appearing behind him, and Kicking him onto the snow. The thing dissapeared, in a Large burst of sonic energy. Strangely.. Tekos eyes stayed exactly the same as they were before throughout the whole fight.. Not much of one anyways. Cold, and silent. He appeared again next to Gareth saying "Clone. Barely any strength at all, just a.. Intimidation. Dont be worried. Ready to go?" He asked, a smile on his face, as if that before scene hadnt happened at all.

Gareth watched Teko's short nap with mild amusement. So they were planning to set off quickly then? He made a quick mental list of what they should bring, which actually amounted to nothing. Some packs for carrying anything they needed, and water canteens would be standard equipment, and he did know exactly where those such things were lying within the Temple, but in the case that they would most likely be staying within the Renewal Woods, such things were unnecessary. He was a bit curious about the whole deal of 'not being bound to an earthly body', but there would be plenty of time for questioning later.

When the creature spoke he just barely winced before the damaged sections of his ear drums rapidly healed themselves, more or less letting his block out the sound. He got into a customary fighting stance, wondering what sort of attack would be thrown at him, when Teko appeared behind the creature. He watched the attack with interest, although he didn't release his stance until the creature and the last sonic energy burst had faded away completely.
Completely ignoring the whole 'don't be worried' comment, he nodded, "Yes, I am."

"Okay, Lets go then." Teko said, Matter-Of-a-Factly. He started walking at a slow pace into the woods. "Be careful where you step though. He's watching us." He remarked, and kept his pace nicely.
