There is one game there called Under Development that looks like a Gambiz style game smile.gif

The concept kid has literally "made gaming history" this time - with a game about the games industry itself! Spanning over 30 years from 1981 to 2011 and beyond, Under Development puts the controller in your hands at gaming's most pivotal moments. Walk the halls of 9 different companies and assemble a team of specialists in 6 key areas - from design and programming to graphics and sound. Then let them loose on over 30 pieces of increasingly sophisticated hardware - all lovingly brought to life in photo-realistic 3D. And every step of the way, you'll be using games to make games - via dozens of charming sub-games that reflect your efforts. But if you thought game development was about bringing dreams to life, prepare to contend with the nightmares of office politics, fickle fans, scathing reviews, and economic woes! Whether you aspire to make games or play them, Under Development is an affectionate tribute to the ultimate art form...

But with 3D cutscenes and more RPG like - you start off as a single coder/game creator, and can create and customise your character in 3D, plus stats etc much like current RPG games.

Good find! biggrin.gif

This guy looks like a prolific developer with tons of free games. I found an interesting wrestling management game (Wrestling MPire 2008: Management Edition), the first one that looks like it's any good since the on again, off again development of ESWF.

I've played a couple of this guy's games and they all are basically the same, I think. (I may mix him up with someone else.. but I recognize the images) I don't really like those games, though. Don't really find them fun - just confusing. My opinion, of course - Feel free to prove me wrong and make me have another game to try out! smile.gif

It looks like he uses the same 3d engine for all of his games, and reuses code, graphics and animations whenever he can so that might explain why his games all seem similar.

As for the confusing part, IMO having more detailed instructions would help with that, I found the games confusing at first as well, but with some trial and error, and what instructions he does provide, I have been able to start to figure some of them out. Due to the lack of instructions it just takes time and patience. IMO that's not a bad trade-off considering he's released all his games for free. If I had to pay full commercial prices for them I'd, of course, expect a full commercial quality instruction manual for each game, but for free games designed by one developer working alone, much like nino does, it's not bad.
