It would be nice if you could make it use the proxy settings from IE or something, even if you make it so when it fails you return to the main menu, at the moment I see the "Checking for Updates" screen staring at me.

I will probably not add proxy support, but i might have to check if a timeout could do it..

However, this happens. Any idea how to fix it? Running Win 7 64bit - 1920x1080 - textsize smallest.

The programming language i was using was not made to for this kind of Alterations on the text size. So from XP an unwards it messes up a bit on the graphic placement if not using standard text size.

Both those topics are about this same problem and, although the game is Gamebiz 3, the solution is valid as this is an issue with operating system settings, not the internal code of the game. Both have info that you will find useful in solving this issue for Carbiz.
