Since I'm continuing my work on LifeBiz (the project before IslandBiz 2) I'm creating a
thread here too. Since I've learned alot from IslandBiz it's gonna be some changes to how LifeBiz works. For example, eating food. Now you goto to Mall, and shop food that's stored in your refrigerator. And at the home window you can eat from that refrigerator. I believe this is a much better solution. I'm also doing some changes to the interface, re-allocating almost everything. If you want to try LifeBiz, 0.21 is the latest version, and can be downloaded here: http://stigern.net/blog/?p=67 EDIT: It's now in the game, alcohol and smoking. Also it's possible to get addicted if you use it often. And when using it for a long time, it's hard to quit, as depression become a problem when quitting. And when hes addicted he'll smoke and drink by himself if you got some in the storage/fridge. It's a nice way to keep happiness up, buy alot of smoke and just let him use it Also alcoholism will eventually make you loose your job. Some screenshots of the interface changes: The main window. ![]() The grocery store. Notice game is paused while shopping. ![]() The hospital, notice game is also paused, and addictions are listed. ![]() Also found a "serious" bug, cause when your running the game offline or stigern.net is slow/down it will freeze for around 30-40 seconds when starting lifebiz.exe. Because the update checker is active, so I removed the autocheck. Speeds up the start of the game Okai. 0.3 is now ready, but as always bugs aren't extinct. Give it a try. Download LifeBiz 0.3 |

Planned features for 0.4:
* Music (custom made for lifebiz, not by me tho) * Crime (steal stuff, goto prison, get a team & plan robberies) * Automatic Eating (explained better under) * Loan Shark (pretty self explaining) Automatic Eating: I've been thinking about this for a while now, and figured out that the best way to solve the "repeating" and boring action of clicking the eat button is to let him eat when he gets hungry. So you only need to buy a certain variety of foods for him to eat. This only goes for the general food. Food or drinks like Candy and Alcohol needs to be manually consumed. And as before he might develop alcoholism, so then it's automatic |

msharpy: Thats very good!
A little update: I've been quite busy lately, alot stuff going on. So haven't really had time to do anything on any of my C# projects. So all I can say is, that when I get the time I will post a beta to all here with the auto-eat system. So it can be tested, and hopefully I get useful feedback on it. http://stigern.net/upload/download.php?fil...b7d150503cbd4f3 Downloadlink for autoeat. |
