Now that Gamebiz II is slightly obsolete, would you consider releasing the sourcecode for either gamebiz II or Deluxe edition under the GPL or a similar open license in the future?

I'd love to get my hands on it and have a go at porting it over to a slightly more open platform and maybe it could be released in a similar way to that of blender - ie: set a financial target, ask for donations, and when your donations have hit that target, release the code into the wild.

the main problem of releaseing the code is getting time to prepare it for release. If people is going to be able to use it for anything A lot of comps and stuff has to be documented and downloadedable. Also this brings me to documentation of 3rdparty freeware comps whihch is not all downloadable any longer so i will need permission to put them online for download and provide a description on how to install them.
This is a task that i will save for rainy day i think smile.gif

Well... what about releasing the source? ;-)
I don't need any components, I just want to see the system inside computing the development, sales and employees progress :-)

just the source in one zip file ;-)
