- February 7th -

The news has been the same since October, it was time for a change!

Even though noones on here to see it anymore. T.T

Also, perhaps a little surpise for the members is coming up, if I can get off my butt and do it. Cross your paws!

It was a miserable day. First she, Serendipity (or Seren for short), got lost in lands she suspected were probably ruled by someone else. Of course, with this blinding downfall of rain, it was hard to go anywhere if you were in unknown territory. Now it was night, and the rain still continued. Shivering, Seren eventually found a dry spot to rest and ride out the storm. As she stood just inside the small crevice in the mountainside she felt oddly afraid of what may lie in the dark just out of sight. Her lowering body temperature demanded she stay, though, and she did. Just as she was taught, she cleared a small area free of grass and twigs and anything else flammable. Then she made a crude little circle of rocks and replaced twigs inside. Leaning low to the floor and calming her breathing, she managed to get fire to start out of thin air. It ate up the meager fire supplies hungrily before nearly going out. It was through her willpower alone that it stayed lit now. She curled up against the rock wall, the flames separating her from the darkness that threatened deeper inside the hole she had crawled in. It wasn't long before she fell asleep inside her protective little halo of light.

"Nothing like a little rain to brighten up a gloomy night, Migeru said to himself monotone. After training with Siranul and spending some time with the pack he had forgotten to finish his patrol route earlier. No time like a rain storm for the enemies attack though if their are any. Not that he could track the worst smelling wolf in the territory with the rain covering his for very long. But suddenly he caught wind of something, or rather someone. It was faint but it was there, he followed it as it disappeared in and out in a no general direction. Finally it disappeared completely, but there was no longer any use in scent tracking, by now he could see a small fire, oddly enough in the middle of the wet weather, near the opening of the Crevice.

He approached cautiously and stealthily, making sure his armor didn't clank together. He had heard of special abilities having to do with controlling the elements but has yet to test his metal against fire. Upon closer inspection he saw.... a she-wolf? sleeping near the fire. She didn't seem threatening but he'd been fooled once before. He walked closer to her, only close enough that she'd be able to hear him, "Ahem! Excuse me... but I'm going to have to ask who you are and what you're doing here." If this wasn't a threatening wolf he only hoped his armor and claws wouldn't seem too threatening.

OOC: HOO! That was a long post, sorry about that. Just so everyone knows this takes place in the future of the main plot in case you're wondering how I'm in two place at once ^^;.

Serendipity's eyes shot open as a stranger's voice echoed into the chamber. Standing slowly, she let her focus change to the male in front of her. The fire at her feet went out as she did so, but she didn't really care. She looked at him, awestruck, as he moved and his armor moved with him. Rather than answer his question, she asked a question in return. "Why do you wear something of man's invention?" Eying the claws at his feet, she let a small line of fire (belly-high, they can see over it) grow between them. Now they were separated and she felt better with her friend, the flame, nearby. She relaxed slightly though still refused to answer his question. Who was this wolf? He didn't seem like alpha so she didn't give him too much respect. Those menacing claws reminded her not to get carried away though. She pushed her luck slightly by standing tall behind her defensive line of fire.

ooc- Long posts are fine. ^^ And doesn't this site allow you to be in two places at once? Most do... but the 'future' works too. Brownie has briefed me pretty well about the different people hear (include the 'Armored Wolf Squad') but sorry if I mess up a description at some point in this thread. ><

He didn't feel like making a new pack enemy today if he didn't have to, but as he was about to answer her question he jumped back slightly as the wall of fire sprouted up seemingly out of no where. He could only stare in awe, "Amazing! I have seen Ice manipulation and even spirit manipulation but only heard of control of fire... Ahem, sorry." He sat upright and saluted, "Steel Claws, Migeru, of the Armored Wolves. I've been sent to defend this part of the territory and am also a member of said pack... So, are you friend or foe? Perhaps if you're a friend I'd be more than obliged to tell you the story of my armor and claws." Not much incentive but he didn't have much else at the moment, wait, yes he did, "And offer you shelter from the rain with the pack... The alpha is a very accepting and kind one."

OOC: Yeah it's allowed as long as you make it make sense I suppose. If you ahve any questions about Migeru or anything feel free to ask. In or Out of character.

Smiling some at Migeru's reaction to the flames, she let them shrivel and die before sending one last stream over their heads and seemingly melting into the rock wall not far away. It was fun to show off every once in awhile. As she did this she spoke softly, keeping most of her attention on the flames. "I'm Serendipity, probably a friend unless you give me reason to dislike you." She frowned slightly, and looked at the male. "I don't know about joining a pack though." She paused a second time, settling back on her haunches and letting her eyes roam over the claws and armor on the strange wolf. "I would like to know your story, I imagine it's pretty interesting. I'd offer one in return, but I lead a pretty boring life." Nothing was boring when you control fire though. Others either shunned you and ran in fear, or even attacked. This wolf, Migeru, was one of the few who actually seemed to like the power. Who weren't afraid... Though maybe he had spent time with the humans to get that armor and had learned not to fear fire.

ooc- I'm sure Serendipity (aka, me, lol) will have some questions pretty soon after his story if Migeru ends up telling it. tongue.gif

"Well, as they say, you can never have too many friends.." again he was mesmerized by her ability to manipulate fire even with so much water falling. "You don't have to join the pack if you don't want to. Besides, that would be up to Cobalt, our alpha. Bringing you in out of the storm until it passes, how's that sound for now?" he asked smiling. "I can't very well leave a seemingly kind wolf out alone in this mess either."

OOC: That could take awhile XD. I'll try to sum things up if/when he does.

Serendipity stood and walked over to where her original fire had been. She stepped into the circle of rocks to make sure there were no left over embers still burning. Burning down the place wouldn't be a good way to impress the wolves in this territory. She walked out into the rain, core body temperature raising subconsciously. Even as the water fell on her, it fizzled and dried, leaving her dry and warm. Swaying slightly on her feet, she turned down her powers so that the rain could meet her skin without evaporating immediately. "I've been using them too much..." She mumbled, half to herself and half to Migeru to explain her nearly falling. She walked forward again, this time without difficulty, and turned to look over her shoulder at the armored wolf. "I don't really know where I'm going so lead the way." Sarcasm, it was great to use to get rid of the built up anger towards herself. She was completely drained. Most of the day she had stayed dry thanks to her powers, but now she was paying the price.
