This is really hard to say this. It is better to say it now than later, so brace yourselves...
VGCC is going through another extreme makeover. This time, in preparation for the biggest path a card game can ever take - Real Life.
Of course, this means practically everything on the forum is for nothing. Money, card storage, practically all for nothing. This is even hard on me to say it. I won't delete anything, so you can stare at where you were.
For now, I suppose all of you can play on lackey with any cards and completely ignore the collection aspect. You can still have fun with that.
On a brighter note, each one of you is automatically a beta tester for when VGCC is redone! You all will help find any inbalances in cards and playtest it!
The actual time when we will start overhauling the whole card game will occur in 2 weeks, when winter break starts.

I slightly changed the names of cards such as Omega, Roll, and Shadow so Lackey won't mix them up. I think it will work...
Update now. In preferences, under auto update, click Update from Url. |

Yep, as you may or may not have figured out from the topic title, I might be back.
next week I have thanksgiving break, though, so i'll be gone from monday to probably sunday night.
also, for those of you who don't know me, i am the guy who tries to balance the cards, along with my team (who dismissed the site as dead a long time ago, thus leaving me on my own for a few days until i can convince him otherwise)
i'm also the guy responsible for the metal gear set, final fantasy set, and some others that haven't been released/discussed yet
i'm also the best card player ever 
so....
um...
yeah..
i'm back, with more sets almost ready for release that should be finished with balancing by the end of the month. |

I redid some cards for the Megaman set...
You need to do 2 things: First, update the plugin. Go to preferences, and click Update from Url under AutoUpdate.
Next, you gotta remove the megaman images.
For those that don't know how, in My Computer:
Go to lackeyccg, to the plugin folder, to VGCC folder, to sets folder, to set images folder. Delete the Megaman folder. Then you can download the images like usual, putting your mouse over the card and letting it auto-download.
In other news, the Megaman Starter Deck is complete! |

It's a new school year, which means less time on the computer, etc etc.
First off, I'd like to show the times I can be on the computer. Feel free to post your own times.
Monday: Varied Morning, 10-10:30, 1-1:45, after 4.
Tuesday: 8-11:50, after 2.
Wednesday: 8-8:50, 10-10:30, 1-1:45, after 4.
Thursday: 8-11:50, after 2.
Friday: 8-8:50, 10-10:30, 1-1:45, after 6.
Sat/Sun: Varied times, I'm usually on most of the day though.
Next, on to the subject of VGCC. I know all of you are thinking in your minds "VGCC is dead" or you're groaning. Anyways, the next set to be released is the Crash/Spyro duo, but no one has made the Spyro half. I'll probably end up making it, which will eat up some of my free time I can spend on here.
After Crash/Spyro, I plan on working exclusively on the SSB set to get that big project finished, but you can expect sets from other members.
I can't think of any other news at the moment, but I'll keep you posted! |

That's right, it is now added onto the plugin finder on lackey! (Well, I can't confirm myself, can someone else confirm this?)
Of course, that means two things:
1. We'll get a lot of random people here.
2. There's no way to enforce the old system anymore, due to random people showing up on lackey.
Well, it's a good thing, right? This also makes it easier to get the plugin in lackey!  |

We have a program for VGCC, it uses the Lackey software. You have to download it and follow the steps listed below if you want to play.
1) http://www.lackeyccg.com/
2) Go to that site, and on the left, download the program according to the computer that you have.
3) Open the Lackey CCG folder.
4) Download the VGCC Plugin: http://www.sendspace.com/file/dntj1z
5) Copy and past the VGCC Plugin into the Lackey CCG folder.
6) Move that folder into the plugin folder, next to the War3000 folder..
7) Open Lackey
8) Go to the Preferences tab
9) Now, near the top, you should see "Browse"
10) Click Browse, and select VGCC.
11) Click Load Plugin
12) Wait for the plugin loading to end and then go to the server tab at the top.
13) Change "SetYourName" to your Username
14) Click Refresh Server List From Tracker
15) ???
16) Profit.
You can now start to duel. Some extra things are below.
Not all the VGCC sets are in Lackey at the moment. Wait a bit for that.
When creating a game, always click the "test proxy" link first
To load a deck, you go to the deck editor and click the load deck button
You can choose a premade deck to use, by going to deck editor and selecting browse, and then choosing one of the starters/themes.
For help using the actual game engine, ask questions in the chat box. |
