Hello everyone,

Unnamed RPG has been around for about 7 months or so now. During that time, hundreds of people tried out (and many enjoyed) this RPG, playing in a fantasy world of adventure, mighty heroes, and an epic storyline. Many of you have been here from the very beginning, and are still here now, supporting me and this project as it has gone along. Unnamed RPG has been the first of my projects that has actually been stably released and played in a non-beta testing stage, and for that I am very pleased.

Unfortunately, as I'm sure you all have figured out, when school hit, the progress on Unnamed RPG slowed to about 2% of what it had previously been at. Where I had been putting in hours and hours a day working on it, I was now spending those same hours doing schoolwork, or working at one of my two jobs. In short, at the moment I do not have the time to host a project like this; I do not have the right to make you dedicated fans promises that I know I cannot keep any time soon.

Not only is the time shortage hard for making new progress on Unnamed RPG, but also, the game is quite a massive undertaking. There are just too many things that need to be improved, and it takes quite a lot of time. For instance, one quest, that you guys can probably complete in about 10 minutes and then be bored, takes about 25-30 minutes to code and test. It has been insanely hard attempting to keep up with the amount of content that is needed to enjoy this game and provide a good and medium-long playtime experience. I under-estimated how big of a project I was taking on, and now I am paying the price.

In addition, this game was really never meant to start off like this. I had originally just posted a little blurb on the Clan ORPG forums saying that I was working on a new project. Of course, as I became more and more obsessed with this project, I eventually made forums and stuff, and thus we have all of this going on.

Because of all of these combined factors, I am left with no choice at the moment but to cancel Unnamed RPG. However, to all of you who have stuck by me through the thick and thins of this project, I will be leaving some gifts for you in the project's "will."

First, I will release right now everything that I have so far on the map that was destined to be Publish III. It has a few new quests but that is really about it; there is a new multi-board journal system and several small gameplay enhancements, but other than that, I didn't get much done.

Secondly, I will be giving anyone who wants to learn from my map and how I scripted it an un-protected version of the map. Normally I would never really do this, but I feel you who have stuck by me have earned this. Most of the map is in JASS, but some is still in GUI.

Thirdly, I will always be offering you guys any help you may need, as well as making any special functions and triggers you guys could use in making your own maps.


So, what are my plans for the future? Well, my time is severely limited nowadays, but I still do enjoy mapping alot, so I am working on a fun little cross between life of a peasant and an RPG. I am not going to be releasing it until the map is completely done, and will not be creating a special forum or anything for it, so don't ask me to please. If I ever do get it done (probably not) then I will put it up and make random updates to the game at my convenience purely whenever I want. Nothing will be scheduled or anything.

Again, I apologize for letting you all down, and I only hope that you can forgive me. I will be leaving the forums up until the domain name expires (probably in another 5 months) so any of you that have made friends with other users on here (or me) can communicate freely and easily.

so..when will you release the map with what you have done 'till now? I'm still anxious
