Book 1: I Just Wanna Be Friends

Note: This book starts off in the Garden a day after episode 34 (the haunted mansion episode)

“So boring…..” moans Yaya after 2 hours of filing papers “can we go home?”
“well it is getting late and we don’t want Mashiro-chan to be late so we can finish all of this on Monday.”
“Arigato I’ll see you guys on Monday” says Rima as she rushes out the door.
“Rima-chan!” screams Amu as she chases after her with her bag “ see you guys on Monday!” she adds to her fellow guardians
once Amu runs out the door to talk to Rima it was tooo late Rima was already in her car as her mother drove off. Ran, Miki, and Su finally catch up with Amu they see her disappointed face. “did you tell her?” asks Ran
“no for someone that hates sports and anything to do with it she sure runs fast so shes not late.” Says Amu sadly.
“well you can always call her tonight Amu” says Miki.
“lets go home I’m exhausted and Ami probably found Eru”
“ yay home home home we go!!!!!!!!!!!!” cheered Ran.
Halfway home Ikuto sees Amu he walks over to her purposely and perfectly planned
“Hinamori Amu long time no see where have you been” he says calmly.
“ oh no not Ikuto everytime I see him he finds a new way to ACCIDENTALY harass me”
“am I the only one you can harass all the time or do you harass your sister too?” says Amu in a get away from me way.
“ Utau is silly she doesn’t want anyone to be interested in me but it sounds like your jealous Hinamori….”
Walking faster Amu doesn’t notice the sidewalk bends and trip but- Ikuto catches her AGAIN
“we don’t want to mess up that beautiful face of yours would we?”
Amu blushes Ikuto notices so he pulls Amu coser to him.
For a minute Amu enjoys it but then gets back together.
“you are such a perve you know that?”
“so ive heard” says Ikuto in a haha voice.
Hmmmmmmm the little kiddy king spilled your name was Amu “
“well it was never a secret” says Amu
“well can I call you Amu?” says Ikuto
“if you leave me alone” says Amu not knowing what shes getting into
“well good nite Amu this is your house” says Ikuto
He pulls Amu close to him….
“and you can call me Ikuto kay?”
Amu blushes
“try it out say Ikuto “
“no” says Amu and she pushes away from him
“why not”
“because you aren’t a close friend of mine”
Ikuto pulls her close again
“but that’s all I want” says Ikuto
“what?”
“I just wanna be friends”
“fine”
“say it”
“goodnight Ikuto”
she pushes off of him and runs into her house
“goodnight Amu” Ikuto says in a whisper like voice.

In Amu’s room she is about to call Rima. Su, Ran, and Eru are gossiping about the Ikuto encounter while Miki is working on a design for Amu’s p.j. for a happening.

Amu dials in Rima’s number and it rings twice before anyone picks up the phone

“Hello?” says a woman in an irritated hide my feelings voice.
“this must be her mother Amu thinks”
“Hi I’m Amu a friend of Rima’s from school can I speak to her?”
“ Rima has a friend she is always so uptight around me-“
“Mum is the phone for me?” says someone in the BG
“Yes it’s um….
“Amu” says Amu (LOL)
“Yeah Amu from school” says her mom
“Really? Let me speak to her”
Rima grabs the phone from her mom, runs into her room, and slams the door.
“Hello” says Rima.
“Hi Rima it’s Amu-”
“I know you don’t have to reintroduce yourself” says Rima
“oh”
akward silence
“you had to have called for a reason right?” says Rima
“oh yeah umm I’m having a sleep over at my house with Yaya tomorrow I thought if you weren’t busy you could come….maybe?”
“are you inviting me over your house to stay the night over your house with you and Yaya tomorrow night?” says Rima getting excited
“um yeah”
“I’d love to do you think you pick me up though my parents won’t take me over there?”
“yeah sure I’ll be there at 8:30 c u then “ says Amu happy over her victory
“okay bye” says Rima
“bye”
click the phone line goes off

“YATTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” screams Amu so joyfully.
“did she say yes?” asks Ran, Miki ,Su, AND Eru simutaneously
“yes and she wants me to come get her”
“YAY” all the charas say together
“well we should probably finish the design for your pj’s now Amu-chan” says Miki the artist

THE NEXT NIGHT

Amu’s doorbell rings
“that must be Yaya” Amu says to herself as she runs to the door.
“Hi Amu” says Yaya
“Hey Yaya you can put your bag upstairs in my room but we have to hurry I told Rima we’d be there to pick her up at 8:30 and it is 8:15 now” says Amu
the two run upstairs and rush out the door they agreed to leave their charas at home to keep Eru company and so none of the charas get lost like Su did the last time they left at night.
Halfway to Rima’s house Amu tells Yaya about Ikuto
“I don’t know why I blush around him or I get silent when he holds me close to him” Amu says and blushes.

“It’s becuz you like him” Yaya says
“NO FLIPPING WAY!!!!!!!!! I mean he is such a perve and besides I like Tadase.” Says Amu defensively.
“It’s allright to like other people you can have more than one crush your just confused” says Yaya like she is some sorta doctor
“well.. maybe but don’t tell anyone........... I really like Tadase but he only likes my would-be self not ME” says Amu
“well this is the address Rima gave me”says Amu quickly changing the subject.

Amu and Yaya walk up to Rima’s door and Amu rings the bell once. Less than 10 seconds later Rima runs out the door making sure the girls don’t see the inside of her house.
“It’s 8:34, your late” Rima states.
“ Sorry,” Amu replies not wanting to argue.
“I hope you don’t mind I had some of the guys from school get my bags.” Rima adds and a group of boys come out of the bushes holding her bags and blowing her kisses.
“okay then,” Yaya says in a confused manner.
“Lead the way Miss Hinamori” one of the guys say.
They all walk to Amu’s house in silence besides the boys chanting “ We love Miss Mashiro!” over and over again. When they finally get to Amu’s house Ran, Miki, Su, Eru, and Pepe run outside.
“Amu!!!” Ran says breathlessly “Ami got into your room,” “She had a key,” Miki adds. “She flattened my puff hugging me!” cries Su. Amu automatically remembers what she had done before she left with Yaya
( FLASHBACK)
“Ami won’t be able to get into my room if I lock my door HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!
(back to life)
“she tried to pull off my wings” said Eru
“ what kind of house do you live in Amu?” Rima asked grabbing her Chara Kusu Kusu.
“ Kusu Kusu!!!!” Ran shouts and grabs her hand.
“Amu let’s show Rima and Yaya the house.” Ran adds forgetting about Ami’s attack.
“I made lots of desserts and tea to keep our bellies happy!” says Su
“I made everyone special pj’s to match the guardian charas” Miki adds
“and I ……… Watched…” moaned Eru.
After showing Rima and Yaya the house and iuntroducing them to her family they went upstairs put on Miki’s special PJ’s,(imagine the characters and their Charas to make their PJ’s) eat Su’s snacks and play cards made by Tadase. Rima was winning so far.
“ I win again!!!” Rima says victoriously.
“ Okay I’m tired of losing, Rima how did you get so good?” asks Yaya.
“ Lots and lots of practice with Kusu Kusu.” Rima replies.
“oh Rima I got the new Balancing Balance gag in the mail today do you want it?” asks Amu.
“Balancing….Balance?” says Kusu Kusu.

CHARA CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“ BALANCING BALANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Rima shouts and does a perfect Balancing Balance.
“ GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Kusu Kusu could you save me the embarrasement of Balancing balance just once?” asks Rima
Amu and Yaya laugh….
DOORBELL RINGS
EMBARRASSED Rima runs downstairs to see who it is Amu follows (yaya takes her time)
