Theoretically we are a bunch of molecules/atoms. Why, because every material in this world is made out of the elements seen on the periodic table including the brain, skin, heart and blood. Emotions are not necessarily needed to make a human it just a part of humans as we have developed, from having few emotions when we were apes and we have gained emotions from past experiences. Emotions don't make a human, they make our identities and personalities.

You learn at a young age what is right and wrong, when you get older you find out more of right and wrong.

If i do something wrong, you will know what is right and wrong via your brain.
