OK so everyone is probably focused on other caving trips but I have booked my flights and am excited about CHECC already.
So we need a theme. My fancy dress box is still at my parent's house so my options are more limited than usual and I have to fly over from Belfast so no big cardboard structures this year. Idea 1) Everyones costume based on a furry suit, think: Carebears Animals Teletubbies Superted Disney Baby etc Idea 2) Cartoon characters (although I think kent did this 2 years ago) Discuss |

We could go as ninjas.... in a variety of types, cowboy ninja, old ninja, flasher ninja..... anything you want really
same base costume with a variety of additional items.... Or following on from cartoon characters snow white and the seven dwarfs, although there should hopefully be more of us. |

I still like the furry suit idea, partly because we failed to do it in Romania cos most people had wet furrys by then.
I'm struggling to come up with alternatives. We could all dress up as one very random thing (the more random the better). Someone suggested things you find under ground e.g. cavers, rocks, mars bars, spiders, potatoes, carrots etc. I'm not sure other clubs would know what was going on though. I agree it needs deciding soon. I think Monday should be the deadline. |

Me as a carrot I can understand but Tree as a pineapple I don't. Tree's not coming either; can't remember the exact reasons but probably because she's working in Scotland - I'll find out tomorrow lunchtime in St Andrews.
I'm doing SUSS fancy dress not UBSS fancy dress but Snow White & the Seven Dwarves has lots of milage. You can make them into interesting dwarves like Sleazy, Queasy and so on. |

Tree's not coming because she is accompanying david to a dinner.
Dickon's ales idea is good. I quite like the idea of being black sheep or hobgoblin. |

Cat confirmed ales is the fancy dress theme so ...
I think my choice is waggledance. Please don't choose Bees organic or any other bee costumes cos that would be dull. Other good ones might be Spitfire and Badger original. |

I would like to lay claim to either grim reaper (at least 2 brewerys) or potholer (cheddar) depending on time for costume design.
Totty pot sounds good. And someone really should do bishops finger. |
